It was a cozy a holiday read. I liked the restaurant setting and the dynamic of the main characters. Sometimes the fmc’s behaviour was kind of childish. The pet spider freaked me out.

Home for the Hollandaise was a cute rom-com romance novel, but wasn't a book that I would re-read or revisit. I wanted more spice and a stronger female lead.

The people I met in this small town were interesting. I wanted to hear their stories of joy, sadness, laughter, love, illness, survival and well, just real life. Their stories take surprising twists and turns. Readers from teens on up will find someone in this small town with whom they identify, from first love to first love remembered, it's a good read.

I feel like this was more about women's fiction and a personal journey and I didnt like that she had a boyfriend personally. Overall, not bad.

I didn't like that he was his bully, i would have liked it more if he was his rival or something. the story is good but i cannot root completely for a bully

I found that this book was less romance and more surrounding a family and the struggles of parents getting older. I wanted so much more from it and found it really slow paced. Eadie was not a likeable character and whilst you unpack the reasons why she is like she is, she just annoyed me. Reid is great and I wanted so much more for him. Overall the read was slow and sad. Its left me feeling deflated to be honest.

Fairly predictable rom com but it was still a good read that I enjoyed. But the small town setting made it different enough that I didn't feel like I was reading your typical rom com.

This book has it all, enemies to lovers, second chance, holiday, cooking, small town romance. How could you not like this book? I loved it!! I could so see this as a Hallmark movie. 6 out of 5 stars!!

Can you ever truly forgive your childhood bully for being so mean? Better yet, can you fall in love with him? This rom com is just that. They started as childhood friends, then he became her high school bully and left her trying to prove that she was worth more than he could ever imagine. Now she is back to help her parents and the universe has them spending most of the daylight hours together. Can close proximity bring them back to being friends and possibly more? The author has woven a beautiful tale of learning your own worth, forgiveness and even letting go, family responsibility and even love all wrapped in an angst laden tale that is both hilarious and sad. You'll need a few tissues, but you'll also laugh out loud. If you like a sweet romance, then you'll love this tale of second chances and bright futures.

Eadie and Reid were both well developed characters which made the story even more enjoyable. It was a bit of a slow burn but it felt right for their relationship and was written very well.

A lovely holiday romance that felt like being in the middle of a festive movie. If you’re looking for a good festive rom-com try this one.

Other: Readers who enjoy realistic fiction will appreciate this slow burn romance.

love stories set in small towns, this is definitely a teen read. Each character has their own struggles, as you read on your see them over come them. I think everyone can see a part of themselves in one of the character's. Thank you netgalley for letting me enjoy this book

I love this book! Little town romance, enemies to lovers, and many other tropes I enjoy a lot. This will be my favorite cozy book for a while. I would love to read a sequel!

I enjoyed this sweet book with cosy autumnal and Christmasy vibes.

It is a story about Eadie who comes back to her hometown to help her parents with running their family café and there she finds her happily ever after.

I was hooked up from the very beginning, it was such an entertaining read. I was rooting for Eadie and Reid, MMC.

I loved how the author portrayed characters in the book, they were so realistic and complex.

Despite being a light, funny story, it brings some heavier issues to the light too: bullying, dementia, parental abandonment and aging of parents.

It was such a comforting read and I recommend it to everyone who looks for a book with a cosy autumnal vibes that builds up to Christmas time.
