Hmm! Honestly, I'm not sure and remain undecided on this book. Perhaps it's just not my cup of tea. Some bits made me smile whilst others made me cringe.
Jokes for all occasions. Some good, some bad and some excruciating. Hours of fun and amusement guaranteed. My friends groan as soon as I get the book (kindle) out. Excellent.
Ridiculously silly. There’s a lot that are really great and a couple that are cringe dad jokes (which are great in their own way)
1001 One Liners is that and more! Wry observations and jokes are well laid out within the book with alphabetized subject matters. If one has a presentation to give or is giving a toast, this book is rife with material.
One aspect that I did not expect, but do appreciate, is that, when possible, the author attributes to whom used the line/ joke first! Even for the person who merely wants to laugh once a day, a page or less will supply your need. I am glad I have this collection, and I will continue to use it for all the reasons above.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.
Exactly what it advertised. I enjoyed the separation by subject that was helpful (I'll admit I skipped over subjects that do not interest me. Fish, I skipped fish.)
Fun book that will give you the chuckles or make you groan.
This is a really great joke-book.
I write and perform in pantomimes so it will be a great help when doing that!
Obviously, some jokes are better than others....
These are just endless one liners and short jokes, divided into categories. A few are funny, many are old, some are raunchy, some don’t make any sense, many are lame, and some are offensive. This author has written over 170 books, so expect the sort of book that’s quick to churn out. Probably better suited for older folks, as it has a lot of stereotypical jokes about wives and other outdated stuff.
I read a digital copy of this book for review.
This book had me slapping my knee. My niece is the queen of one-liners so I loved this book because it reminds me of her. I will definitely be recommending this book for circulation at my library.
Brilliant! I mean, some of them you’ll have heard before and there are a few groaners but there are also plenty of laugh out loud beauties which will make you giggle, titter and snort like the best of them.
I loved that they were all so short and punchy, I mean who likes fighting their way to the end of a long winded joke with a disappointing punchline. I was often still giggling at the last gag whilst moving onto the next, which had a very pleasant cumulative effect!
The way they’re organised into categories is great and you settle into a theme but no time to get bored before dashing onto the next. No topic seemed out of bounds with a good few cheeky entries and there was a good mix of classics and bang up to date topics. Same goes for the comedians given credits - a great range of eras and tastes. I honestly think you’d struggle not to enjoy this, almost sounds like a challenge. Now I’ve just got to remember enough of the best ones to impress my friends and family…
Some of these were funny. Some were dumb. Some were mediocre. And a few were offensive. I do not condone any sort of "humor" that tolerates violence towards any animal as acceptable or appropriate. Plus there were some sketchy racial jokes in there. How are any of those topics humorous? Not very smart on the part of the publisher.
Cannot recommend. Not funny.
Thanks to NetGalley, GEoff Tibballs and AD Libs Publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was hoping for more originality or creativity in this book. So many of the one liners in there were ones I already heard, which is what the description says. I was just hoping for more I guess.
There are some funny jokes in here, but there are several which have been pinched from famous comedians (though they have been quoted as such), some jokes which aren’t funny at all, and others which are just the ones you find on cheap souvenirs or Facebook posts your mother makes with minion faces on. It is an ok stocking filler, or secret Santa gift, but I can’t imagine buying it for any other reason
