Such a lovely book about friendship and finding your family. Six friends from all different backgrounds come together to save the beloved restaurant that made them friends to begin with. Nanine had taken these young inspired chefs she refers to as "courses." Now they are brought back to where things began to help out Nanine. A sweet feel good romance story that is perfect for those who love Emily in Paris. I can not wait to dive more into the other "courses" in the next books. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

I have to be honest, I did not enjoy this book. I thought it was so incredibly cheesy that it wasn’t even believable. I could barely follow along with who was speaking because the writing seemed so choppy. The book was supposed to be featured around Thea but I felt I only got half her story and the other half was a lot from the other characters. I like the idea of the book but really did not enjoy it. If I were someone who could DNF a book I would have but I always push through no matter if I like it or not.

Thank you to Netgalley and Ava Milnes Inc for this ARC of ‘The Paris Roommates’ by Ava Milnes.

This book was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Found family is one of my favourite tropes and it just fits perfectly into this story. The character development was excellent and I found them very relatable. I am definitely going to be reading more from this author.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. The actual story was great and the food parts made it even better!

I love the “FRIENDS” vibe from this book and found family is one of my favorite tropes. The restaurant setting was great! The multiple POV’s gave us a more in depth look at group. I felt the main character was well written and I loved her, but the insta-love romance aspect felt unconvincing and communication between the characters also came across as disingenuous at times.
Aside from that, I loved the light-heartedness and feel-good vibes the characters emanated.

Love this! Found family and book besties still my heart. Every. Single. Time!
Thea has the same issues I have so reading about someone finding their confidence and finally succeeding hit home for me. This book is perfect for the light hearted, fluffy loving readers and the ones who are looking for an escape from the real world. The characters are amazing are relatable, the setting is perfect and the whole overall message for finding yourself and new family/friends along the way has my heart. Cannot wait to read more from Ava Miles!

A found family trope right when I needed it. Reading this book made me feel all the feels and I enjoyed getting to know all of these characters. If you’re a fan of the found family trope, you’ll really enjoy it.

This book makes me want to pack my bags and move to Paris. I love the food descriptions, the romance and the found family of the "six courses". The perfect holiday read!

This reminded me of an old school Danielle Steel novel, in a good way. It had more humourous scenes but was a great story set in Paris. It's about reconnecting to your past, and your self, and those who you love. It was a hopeful novel and I greatly enjoyed it

I unfortunately don't have a ton to say about this one. It really just didn't stick with me, and I had a difficult time relating to the characters. It was a fun read overall but it was missing something for me that I can't quite put my finger on.

I feel like this book gives the vibe of "Emily in Paris" meets "Friends". It is such a heartwarming story of a girl (Thea) finding herself and allowing herself to live her best. She learns to open her her heart and live her life to the fullest with the support of her beloved friends. The story follows a group of friends who meet back up in Paris after the person who originally brought them together 10 years prior after hosting them while they were each in Paris on foreign exchange (of sorts) suffered a heart attack. This is a beautiful story about the power of friendship and how far we will go for the people we love.

The only down side is it is in 3rd person (I personally prefer first person) but the story is lovely and I can't wait to read the other books to follow in this series!

I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the growth of the characters, especially the one nicknamed First Course. I enjoyed the theme of chosen family weaved throughout the book.

Mix one part Paris, one part dear friends, one part a restaurant background, and one part romance to make for a fun read. The Paris Roommates brings friends together ten years after their original stay in Paris. Bound together by their love of Nanine and their friendship they band together to play fairy godmother for Thea and to support Nanine as she faces health, family, and business challenges.
I enjoyed the characters and the background; it was a fun light read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion. The Paris Roommates is available now.

This book was excellently written!
The character development was so good. You root for Thea the whole time. It made me want to go back to Paris. It also made me want to bake.
This is a classic Ava Miles style book!

One year in Paris and many lives are changed forever. Nanine offers up free room and board in exchange for working in her restaurant while the 6 students she has carefully picked are all studying. They form what they think is an unbreakable bond and friendships that sadly seems to fade when everyone resumes their regular lives when the year ends. When they’re all informed that Nanine is ill and needs their help they all return to Paris to help, reconnect and bring put the best in each other. It’s a sweet story of friendship, love, kindness and what were willing to do for others and ourselves. An enjoyable easy read. I look forward to the next in the series.

While this is not a book for my students, this definitely was a book for me! The Paris Roommates just floods you with love and support. While it is fiction, you can find these specific friends in your own friend group and appreciate them so much more. The romance, while a big part of the story, falls second to the reason they all are back in Paris. It's beautifully written and a must read.

Cute and sweet story following the lives of 6 roommates in Paris a decade after they have all moved on. Some are still finding their way through adulthood and need a little Parisian magic to get back on their feet. I feel this is the start of a series featuring each of the roommates, and I look forward to reading the next one!

Not my favorite book from this author. I can't say that I would recommend it to others. Might have been because it appears to be the first in a series, so there are a lot of characters and story lines introduced at once, but it just wasn't my thing.

This was such a nice little ode to unlikely friendships. I love reading books that are set in countries that aren’t my own, and ‘The Paris Roommates’ ticks so many more boxes for me. It definitely gave ‘Emily in Paris’ vibes, but also ‘Younger’, ‘Partner Track’, and even a little bit of ‘Gossip Girl’. It was nice to see positive female friendships, as well as friendships between both sexes.

I saw that this was a series and I am likely to continue with it.
