Kirsten Bailey - Five Gold Rings.

This book is everything that a good festive read should be.
It’s a story that will charm you and warm your heart.

Eve and Joe work together in a jewellers shop.
Christmas is coming and there are five gold rings that need to be delivered.
Their journey together to deliver the rings is funny, sweet, touching and engaging.

Eve and Joe are both a delight and I adored their story.

Kristen Bailey is an excellent writer. Her style is quirky, irreverent and laugh out loud funny. Then she throws in some real awww moments of emotion that are quite simply beautiful.

#FiveGoldRings will grab you by the festive feels and kick you in the jingle bells.
Five stars for Five Gold Rings!

Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for this free ebook in exchange for my honest review.

This book has put me in my Christmas rom-com reading era. It was such a feel good book that had me smiling and feeling like I was watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. This was my first Christmas book of the year and now I am excited to read some more.

In this book we meet Eve and Joe. It's a he falls first (which I love) and a friends to lovers (which I also love) romance. They both work for a jewelry story and due to a mix up have to deliver 5 rings before Christmas. I loved reading about the various deliveries and the funny antics that ensue. I often found myself laughing out loud.

It is told in duel POV. There is no spice and it is a bit of a slow burn for the main characters to express their feelings, but it is such a fun and feel good story. I was totally rooting for Eve and Joe, even though Eve just got out of a 3 year relationship. I kept wondering how they would realize they BOTH had feelings for each other. It kept me intrigued and wanting to continue to read way past my bedtime.

I have never read anything by this author but would give her other books. a try. This book did have vocabulary I was unfamiliar with since the setting was in London, but it didn't affect my ability to love this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an advanced ecopy of this book. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

This was the perfect read just before the holidays! It had twists and turns, the sweetest love story with hilarious pit stops in between. I loved the characters and the story. Definitely checking out more by this author.

When Eve comes home early to find her boyfriend cheating on her, she also finds out he planned to propose.

But her work colleague Joe helps her get passed the festive season, as the two are on a mission from Casper and Sons to get five gold rings delivered to their owners; in time for specific events. Not only will these events redeem the Christmas spirit in Eve but give her some much-needed romance along the way

I love the characters so much in this book. Mr and Mrs Casper who are the sweetest elderly couple, and owners of the jewellery stone, Gabriel who is an absolute cheerleader for Joe.
Eve is selfless and shows determination for a happy ending. The character of Joe is equally likeable with a protective nature. You couldn't help but want the two to get together.

This novel is split between the two main characters giving us a dual narrative that allows the reader to see two sides of the story; which makes it perfectly written.

Bailey gives us a Christmas feel-good novel with fantastic humour.
This book will put any reader in such an enjoyable mood. I adore this author's books and writing and would recommend them to anyone.

Five Gold Rings was so fun! I loved Eve and Joe's jaunt through London as they delivered the five rings for five very different and wonderful Christmas proposals. Overall, this book was so sweet and full of Christmas cheer but I was a bit appalled that Eve didn't need to go to the hospital for how much of this story she was drunk for. The writing was witty and I definitely would recommend this as a sweet and fun festive romance.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really sweet book. The heartbreak that Eve feels in beginning of the book was so well written I was feeling it and right there with her. The relationship between Eve and Joe unfolding throughout the story from a true friendship into more was just so enjoyable and funny. I loved the incorporation of the delivery of the 5 rings throughout to develop that relationship and also show other relationships and their ups and downs. It was a really fun and quick read. There should have been more of the Caspar's. I would read a second, third, fourth book expounding on this couple and the jewelry shop.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A really fun and enjoyable festive rom com.

I definitely could have read this book in one sitting if I’d had the time. It drew me in from the very beginning and had me laughing out loud several times! The different adventures they had were all so unique and funny, it never felt repetitive which can sometimes be the case with storylines like this.

Eve and Joe were lovely and I really enjoyed reading their story. There were also several great secondary characters too!

If this book isn’t on your festive TBR list it needs to be. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it!

Five Gold Rings was the perfect holiday romcom! It was everything I could have wanted and more in a holiday read. I was hooked from the first chapter which was a good sign.

It was fun. The characters were lovable. I laughed throughout the entire book. The adventure to Christmas was very entertaining. It reminded me a lot of early 2000s holiday romcom movies. I sincerely enjoyed it through and through!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC!

Solidly Silly Yet Hallmarkie Christmas RomCom. The opening of this tale is actually somewhat reminiscent of the opening of Luke Young's Seriously Messed Up - another great romcom from several years ago now - though reversed (there it was the male main character, here it is the female main character). Which admittedly set the bar quite high for me, as that particular book is one I routinely list as among the funniest I've ever read.

But y'all.... Bailey delivers here. Seriously, this is comedy gold in some of the best possible ways, while still having enough serious aspects to ground the tale and give it at least a touch of gravitas. All centered around Christmas and in particular a very specific Christmas carol, but with a unique spin on it I'd never encountered before.

If you need some laughs this holiday season, for any reason, and you don't mind staring maybe uncomfortably long at a naked dude going full frontal in the opening scene... you're probably going to like this one. Even if you *don't* like staring at naked dudes uncomfortably long... you'll probably still like this one... once the opening scene moves on from that particular moment. :) Told with a great amount of comedy but also enough heart to make Captain Planet proud, this really is one of those feel good Christmas tales with lots of holiday cheer and maybe a few holiday tears. Very much recommended.

This was a really cute, festive read!

The book starts off with Eve finding her boyfriend in the shower with another woman, just two days before Christmas, after returning home from a conference early. As anyone would do in her position, she chucks him out, throws all his belongings out the window, dismantles their bed and hits the bottle.

Seeking solace, she heads to the jewellers that she works for part time, for some Mr and Mrs Caspar love. Sensing an opportunity, Mrs Caspar calls in Joe - another part time worker, who happens to be harbouring a big crush on Eve. As fate would have it, there’s a big mix up with some last minute Christmas deliveries, and Joe and Eve end up on a mission to deliver 5 gold rings in time for Christmas.

It’s here that Eve gets to see the kind of man Joe really is - a kind hearted, selfless, genuine man who cares for Eve more than her ex boyfriend ever did. And as they spend the next two days together in the most unlikely of situations, will Joe’s feelings for Eve be reciprocated?

I loved being on this adventurous mission with Eve and Joe. I loved seeing them fall for each other and how much they complemented one another. The deliveries were hilarious - I loved each little scenario and how unique they were. Some were laugh out loud funny and some were incredibly heartfelt (ring 5 🥲). It was a really great, original idea that I throughly enjoyed. Eve and Joe were great characters, as were the supporting cast - Mr and Mrs Caspar ❤️❤️ and I loved Noel and Eve’s Dad too, and Joe’s sisters - it was just a really lovely, light hearted, wholesome Christmassy read. Would definitely recommend 😊

This was another funny, warm romcom from Kristen Bailey. Having discovered her writing through Sex Ed I was looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint. A surprisingly touching story that, nevertheless, had me laughing out loud on occasions and left me feeling very contented at the end. Just the book to put you in the mood for Christmas!

After the surprise and shock of catching her boyfriend cheating, Eve is totally devastated she reacts by throwing the gifts she’s bought and wrapped for HIS family out of the window. But while doing so, she discovers her own present from Chris under the Christmas tree: an engagement ring, bought at the jeweller’s where she works. What the jingle bells is going on? And what was he thinking?
Confused and with her Christmas plans in tatters, Eve rocks up at the jeweller's for some tea and sympathy with her lovely employers, Mr and Mrs Caspar, who quietly put in a distress call to her colleague, Joe. Eve doesn’t know that Joe is secretly in love with her, but her bosses do, and they know he’s just the person Eve needs to comfort her in a crisis.

I LOVED THIS !! This book had me hooked from page 1. This book had it all humour, romance, and heartbreak. The romance was perfect, and I just loved Eve and Joe and was rooting for them from the start. Such a lovely festive feel-good read would highly recommend.

Thank you to Netgalley, Storm Publishing, and Kristen Bailey for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I truly enjoyed reading this book during the Christmas season. It was a fun take on a familiar line.

Eve never expected to end up single at Christmas, having caught her boyfriend in the act in their flat. Desperate for any kind of distraction, she turns to her employers Caspar & Sons, jewellers, to give her anything to keep her mind off the dismal holidays that await. Enter Joe, part time shop assistant and secretly in love with Eve. With a little manipulating from the Caspars, the pair set off on an adventure to reunite five gold rings with their owners in time of Christmas. And maybe, just maybe they'll find a little love themselves.

A funny, heartwarming story about love and friendship at Christmas time. This was a joy to read from start to finish. I felt so emotionally invested in Eve and Joe. Joe is an absolute cinnamon roll, desperately in love with Eve and she's the only one who can't see it. To see him support her emotionally, getting her to shine again all on her own, while helping people along the way was a delight to read. And Eve is a great protagonist too, someone who wants to help anyone and everyone, someone who sees the best in all. They're a great pairing, who compliment each other so well.

I loved the different themes of love within the plot, from the proposals to the weddings. It feels a little like Love Actually, as Eve and Joe meet several different couples and hear a little of their love story while injecting a bit of humour along the way. There's a semi naked Elf, a grand proposal in central London and a stolen turkey. It's silly at times, but laced with sentiment too, and it hits that Christmas stop perfectly. This is easily one of the best Christmas stories I've read this year.
