Festive Romcom..
When Eve’s festive season gets off to an appalling start, she almost abandons all hope but soon finds herself going in an altogether different direction. Is she actually about to save Christmas? A frothy and fun filled festive romcom with a delicious cast of characters, a pacy plot heavily doused in humour and plenty of festive, cosy and heartwarming feels of the season.

thank you to netgalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

unfortunately for me, this one is a dnf. it took me weeks to read just the first few chapters alone. the premise of this book is so cute and the cover is equally lovely, but I just could not get into the story. the writing was pretty mediocre and juvenile, and the characters just felt flat with annoying dialogue.

Although I was not quite ready for a Christmas story I decided to give Five Gold Rings a try since it is snowing outside.

I enjoyed it, wasn't that Hallmark Christmas movie I was expecting, and that made me very happy.

A cute, fun Christmas Romance that is not too cheese, I approve.

I read this book in a day and I never looked back! The twist and the plot were pretty easy to identify but the different POV's kept me intrigued to see how everything was going to unfold. A couple of the characters were so unlikable that it made hard to feel bad or connect with them in any way. I do wish that the ending would've given a little more, I wanted to know how the characters dealt with the aftermath.

Overall I give this 5 out 5 because it really was a great book and I will definitely read more from this Author. I enjoyed the thrill of the plot and its twists.

This book is just amazing! It's the most festive feel good read and I was gutted to reach the end of it!

A lot of books have festive in the title and only briefly mention Christmas... But this was a full on festive rollercoaster!

The most delightful Christmas inspired story!

Eve finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her by catching him in the act.
In her home.
Two days before Christmas.

Eve finds comfort at the jewelry store where she works part time and the owners send her on a mission to deliver five very special rings. Her co-pilot on the mission is Joe, her co-worker who has long pined after Eve.

Hilarity and hijinks ensue in this sweet and festive romantic comedy. I enjoyed hearing the story told from both Eve and Joe’s point of view. They were both sweet characters, with Joe seeming almost too good to be true! They had fun banter and personality quirks that helped me to really root for both of them.

Five Gold Rings would make for a very fun Christmas movie. I found myself laughing out loud and also getting quite tearful. It hit all the right marks and I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, festive easy read with a charming love story.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

What would you do if it were a couple days before Christmas, you surprise your boyfriend by being home early, and find him in the shower with another woman? Would you feel heartbroken? Would you throw the Christmas gifts YOU purchased for HIS family out the window? Would you head to your work for some sympathy and support? If you said yes to any of those questions you are like the FMC of this book, Eve. After finding her cheating boyfriend, disposing of the gifts, and going to her work, she ends up on a multi-day journey of forced proximity with a coworker who has had a long time crush on her... all in the name of Christmas Love!

This book is perfect for lovers of a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie, like myself! Five Gold Rings is SO precious and the perfect holiday Christmas season read!

While I am not the biggest fan of the cheating trope, I loved how forced proximity guided this story. This book was written in third person with dual POVs for Eve and her coworker Joe. I enjoyed how the author played with continuing the story in the alternating character's POV or retelling the previous scene from the other character's POV. This was a fun way to fill lots of plot points as I read!

Thank you to Storm publishing and the author for the arc, all opinions are my own.
A delightful cosy Christmas romance with a lot of fun humour.
Bailey introduces perfect characters that you instantly bond with and feel for as they navigate their own emotions at this time of year.
Joe and Eve are so amazing together and you can't help but want her to fall in love with Joe but having just caught her boyfriend with another girl, she doesn't recognize the signs from delectable and handsome Joe.
A perfect Christmas book to lift you up and make you believe that Christmas wishes do come true

I tried so hard to get into the book but when it takes me up to 2 weeks then I just know it's not for me. The story had potential though, the writing was not for me.

2 days before Christmas Eve walks in on her boyfriend in the shower with another woman. And so starts the emotional break down and rebuilding of Eve. With the help of Joe, her co-worker who moonlights at a "naked-ish butler" .

This was honestly a delight! I immediately fell for Eve, despite her world crumbling downs round her she tries to be the very best for people. Joe was an all around adorable man and the Caspers were just so heart-warming.

Following their hi-jinxs over 2 days in London it was hard not to fall in love with Eve & Joe.

The only negative I felt was, despite the fact many different Christmas scenes play out in front of us -Nativities, numerous Santas, the whole nutcracker suite - it just didn't feel christmassy.

So 4.5 stars rounded up.

Five Gold Rings was such a delightful read! I love friends to lovers, workplace romance, and hurt-comfort tropes. What made this Christmas tale even better is the humor that author Kristen Bailey injects as relief for the very real, very painful circumstances in which our Eve finds herself.

Having arrived home early from a business trip, our Eve is ready to celebrate Christmas with her boyfriend and his family, only to find him with his side piece in the shower! Christmas now officially sucks for our girl.

Enter Eve's co-worker, Joe, a hot, handsome man who has secretly been in love with her for some time. Lovelorn Joe and a heartbroken Eve volunteer to undertake some last minute jewelry deliveries (five custom rings) for their benevolent employers, and thus begins the start of this sweet, swoony, satisfying holiday romance.

Joe is the perfect hurt-comfort hero. He has become a student of all things Eve, and while she is initially wholly unaware of his romantic interest in her, not once does he take advantage of her miserable circumstances to press his case. Rather, he offers her his quiet strength, humble humor, and a shoulder to lean on as they embark upon a pseudo road trip/forced proximity adventure.

There is little angst in this book, aside from that experienced by side characters. The side stories surrounding the delivery of each of the five rings as the backdrop for Eve's awakening to her feelings for Joe is so very well done. As a reader, I was rooting not just for a HEA for Joe and Eve, but for each of the couples for whom the rings were intended. (Pssst, dear reader...Joe does, in fact, get his girl!)

Five Gold Rings is painful and poignant, somber and lighthearted, heartwrenching and heartwarming all at the same time. This will be a definite holiday comfort reread.

Kudos to Kristen Bailey for striking just the right note!

Rarely does a book make me laugh out loud as much as this one!

Emma is arriving home early from a trip, full of plans to prepare for Christmas - her favourite time of the year. Finding her boyfriend in the shower with another woman puts paid to all those plans, that's for sure. She then accepts a 'mission' from her employer in the jewellers where she works part-time; five gold rings have been delivered wrongly and need to be given to the right owners. Her colleague, Joe, dressed as a sexy elf, joins her on this task . . .

Emma is definitely a woman after my own heart; she didn't fall apart in tears until she dealt with the boyfriend - and I was cheering her on all the way. Her adventures with Joe had me in fits of laughter again and again. This is such a fun read and definitely one I'll be recommending for this Christmas. A superb read, and one easily worthy of all five sparkling stars. *****

My thanks to the publisher for my copy via NetGalley; this is - as always - my honest, original and unbiased read.

I like Hallmark movies and this has the atmosphere of a Hallmark movie, there's some very funny moments and it's quite festive.
It work as Christmas novel, not much as rom-com as I liked the MMC but I wasn't a fan of the FMC who's nearly always drunk.
There's potential and I think there will be funny rom-com in the future
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

I am a massive Kristen Bailey fan girl. She's only given a masterclass in how to write funny, relatable characters. She's also hilarious and never fails to make me laugh. This is probably my favourite Kristen book to date. Festive, funny, and two characters you cannot help but fall in love with—a must-read at any time of the year.

I really liked the premise for this Christmas romance. It starts out with Eve finding her boyfriend in the shower, unfortunately he’s not alone in there. Eve is furious, she trashes all the Christmas presents for him and his family and finds an engagement ring under the tree. What the heck?

Eve goes to the jewelers where she works, and the sweet owners the Shaws call her colleague Joe in to keep her occupied. Eve doesn’t know that Joe has fallen for her, but the Shaws do! Together, Eve and Joe are sent out to deliver some rings before Christmas Day.
Each ring has its own unique story, and Eve and Joe are pulled into some impromptu situations. As they deliver each ring, they get closer and closer and Eve sees Joe in a different light.

I loved the descriptions of each ring delivery, very creative!

Great premise and the romance was really sweet, I liked the characters. 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

1st of all Thank you Net Galley and the author for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

The premise of this book was what got my attention since I was looking for books to recomend to get into the Christmas mood and this book didn't disapoint me.
Eve had a disastrous days before Christmas when she founds her boyfriend cheating on her with his collegue, while she devastated and breaking Christmas gifts she founds that her now ex boyfriend bought her and engagement ring from the jewerly where she works and this is how this story began.
Eve and her co worker Joe get into the mission to deliver the last 5 rings the jewerlers promised before Christmas.
This 2 are the cutest couple, I mean they really aren't but he's had a crush for her for months and he was scared to say anything because her relationship was stable even when he knew about them breaking up he never tried anything with her, he only wanted to be there for her. He's seriosuly so adorable and what any girl should expect from a boy.
Overall the book was good and an easy read if you want to get into the Chris mood.
