Note: I'm not sure I can accurately rate this book, because as I was going on a walk and listening to the audiobook version, my phone randomly jumped to the end, around 95% or so, and immediately revealed who the killer was which really spoiled the whole thing. Regardless, I found my way back to where I was and kept listening.

I don't want to see or hear the name "Hannah Allen" ever again. The main character says her own name SO OFTEN. Also, nothing seems to actually be happening in the book? It seems like it's just the characters talking over and over about how society shouldn't blame the victim for the things that happen to them (which I haven't seen/heard a lot of in this day and age?)

All of the above combined just got to me and I ended up just getting bored and DNF'ing unfortunately.

I am a massive fan of Jess Kitching, and have been ever since her debut novel. Whenever she releases a new novel, I am itching to read it. Lucky Number 11 certainly didn’t disappoint.

Hannah Allen was abducted by a serial killer when she was fourteen years, intended to be the killers 11th victim. Luckily she was able to escape, and the killer was put in jail. However, ten years later, a body is found with injuries similar to the killers - is this a copycat killer, and what does this mean for Hannah?

A dark web of intrigue is woven as the novel seeks to determine what happened. We learn Hannah’s backstory, and have snippets from the killers point of view.

Another stellar thriller!

Hannah (24) is doing well in therapy and just trying to live her life 10 years after she escaped a serial killer and earned the title Lucky Number 11. Hannah Allen is a name that practically everyone has heard of, but now even more so that there is copycat killer. She's right back in the spotlight, a place she has no desire to be.

I'm thrilled that we had some chapters from Conrad, the detective back then and still today. I found him to be a great detective and I liked how protective he was of Hannah. There are some chapters from the killer to keep you guessing, too.

I was hoping the copycat killer wouldn't turn out to be who I thought it might be, so I was pleasantly surprised with who it was since I didn't see it coming. Can't say I liked the reasoning they did what they did, but I suppose that's how psychopaths minds work.

Overall, a well written, engaging and suspenseful story. It was fast paced with non stop action. I enjoyed my first book by this author and look forward to reading more.

A incredibly gripping crime featuring a serial killer. It had me gasping and litterally dying to find out who the killer was. It gets a bit scary at times so I recommend reading with the lights on.

This one is about serial killers. I love my crime so I gravitated towards it. I have read another book of Jess's and that was incredible and this one is just as good.

I.did enjoy this thriller and I thought the premise was a clever idea. However I'd just finished a few thrillers prior to this one and it did flail slightly in comparison

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC of Lucky Number 11 by Jess Kitching.

After enduring the trauma and horror of her abduction when she was a teenager, Hanna is finally starting to really live her life. She's just attended her last victim's support meeting, has a great job, and loves her live-in boyfriend. But her whole world gets tipped on it's axis when she hears that there is another victim of the serial killer, except it can't be him, he's been caught. Could there be a copycat on the loose? And what does that mean for Hannah?

I liked this okay. There were a lot of things that were done to Hannah that I felt were exploitative, even by people who were supposed to be in her corner, and I struggled to get past that. It definitely has sticking power, and moves at a great pace, I just had a few issues with the nuances of the story.

A dark, twisty copycat serial killer thriller/part police procedural about the healing and survival of a group of women impacted by violence. It's raw and real. Make sure not to skip the touching and insightful acknowledgements for a glimpse into the author's own experience with violence and the reasons why this book was written.
This story definitely keeps you guessing and don't be surprised if you don't figure out who the killer is. I suspected EVERYONE and I still didn't figure it out! It definitely makes you think twice about walking around alone. You never know what or who is hiding in the shadows.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kingsley Publishers for this eARC.

I really enjoyed this book. I tried so hard to figure it out but only managed to know one small detail. This book hooks you from the beginning and is fast paced. It really keeps you guessing and when it’s time to put all the pieces in place it’s NOT what you thought at all! Loved it! I love when a great story comes together with an unpredictable reveal and a great ending! Well done! I’ll be checking out more of your work as this is a first read for me. Thank you for the opportunity to read your work!

Wow! I read this book in one day and that doesn’t happen often! I stayed up as I had to see how it ended!

This book is a thriller with a lot of twists and an OMG mind-blown ending! You have Hannah Allen who was the Eleventh victim of Peter Harris but the only one that survived a horrendous, traumatic kidnapping, torture and repeated sexual assault at only age 14.

After 10 years she’s about to reclaim more of her life but then girls go missing/turn up dead and she finds she’s under attack again by a copycat killer.

You will think you know who did this time and again but in the end - mind-blown! Go check this out! So good!

This book was so good! I loved how the characters felt realistic. The writing is so well done even though the events in the book are traumatic and heavy. There were twists and turns and this book had an emotional heaviness that I wasn't prepared for but thought was really beautiful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 enjoyable stars. The book was overall good, it did keep me guessing and it was quite suspenseful.

But for me the ending let it down, it was a bit anticlimactic when the bad guy was unveiled.

Lucky Number 11 is how a murder murder mystery should be written!
It was thrilling! It was enthralling! It was captivating! It kept you guessing!
I did not guess the killer! Consider myself shocked! What a bloody moment that was!
I was pointing fingers left right and centre, I'd be a terrible detective haha!
My heart was feeling for Hannah throughout. She survived a serial murderer and finally moved on with her life only for a copycat killer to throw her off course again and put her in the limelight. More specifically, hunt her down too!
I was hooked on this book! I highly suggest anybody that hasn't read it to pick it up! You won't regret it!

I found myself captivated by thr gripping plot. It moved quickly and kept me engrossed, waiting for what was to come.

Her writing style is easily to follow and paints a fabulous narrative. What I found most gripping was the portrayal of the struggle that victims of violence go through.

I am glad to have e had the opportunity to read snd review this book. I am now very interested in checking out the authors other works. Thank you NetGalley, Kingsley Publishers, and author Jess Kitching for this opportunity.
