This was a very interesting book. I loved the short stories and how different they all were. Some were really unique and the writing styles were refreshing and kept me interested. The stories weren’t the spiciest I’ve read but great nonetheless.

The premise of this book is what drew me in: what if literary fiction authors could write sex scenes without their names attached? Freed from the potential judgment and taboo by the promise of anonymity, the authors experiment with content, tone, and form.

I think that someone who is a fan of short story collections and interested in this premise would really enjoy this book. I read a lot of smutty romance novels, and ultimately, I DNF'd this because I struggled to really get invested in these stories with so little character development/plot attached. I want to stress that I think this is a 'me' issue rather than a 'the book' issue.

As other reviewers have noted, it's a bit of a mixed bag, and I enjoyed some stories more than others. Generally speaking, I preferred the ones with more experimental formats – for example, the one comprised entirely of text messages – to the more traditional short stories.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of the book for review.

The premise of this collection is fantastic. I am a writer and I often worry and wonder about what others will think of the way I write or describe things. I appreciate the opportunity to read this steamy book.

This was a great collection of erotic sex scenes written by those who are finally given the freedom to pen the stories they wish without fear of condemnation, judgement, or editing. I devoured these. They are perfect for those who enjoy good sex-writing and short enough that you can fit a few in per day. Top Canadian authors contributed to this anthology, and it shows. The quality is stupendous, and I promise you that each story differs in its own unique, creative way, yet is wonderful too. Ten stars. Highly recommended!

Like all anthologies, this one was a bit of a mixed bag for me but overall, I enjoyed the collection.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked the idea behind this! It was really interesting to read each story not knowing which author had written them. Like most anthologies it was a mixed bag for me and some stories I liked much better than others. Overall though I felt they all worked well together and were well written. It just came down to a matter of taste!
Also that pink cover is stunning!

I thought I would enjoy this book more than did as I enjoy reading different stories. The anonymous storied did add something new but it didn't wow me like I thought it would.

A compilation of anonymous stories that discusses the ins and outs of peoples most intimate moments- from one night stands, couples squeezing in a quickie to a literal vampire. A fresh take on erotica that is far from your traditional smut novel.

Unfortunately this book ended up on my did not finish pile. I loved the concept of the book. Anonymous authors putting together a collection of steamy stories. However, it just felt that there was no depth to the book. The stories were to short to become involved. If the storylines could have been expanded I'm sure it would have made for better reading.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to see an ARC.

I’m new to steamy books but I have to admit I enjoyed a lot of the stories written. Some of the extra spicy stories made me nervous chuckle and I love that for me.

For the genre I don’t remember seeing a LGBTQ tag though so I would that but if I missed it I apologize.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read these stories.

Marvellous innovative idea. I wish I knew who wrote what so I could investigative some of the other writing of those behind the better stories, but I appreciate why their anonymity allowed a level of honesty otherwise impossible.

I enjoyed this anthology, however there were a few editing errors and some of the stories were a little confusing and i ended up skimming through them. Overall a good idea for a book and I enjoyed the majority of the stories.

I really enjoyed many of the short stories in this anthology. I think if you're looking for a more literary style of writing and a mix of romance/erotica, then you'll connect with this anthology collection. Half of the fun is trying to figure out who wrote what!

This book had an interesting premise but fell very short for me. The stories were more bizarre than engaging, and the writing felt very awkward. I really wanted to like this book because I thought the idea of anonymous stories was so interesting, but the result was clumsy. There were a few twists in some of the short stories that added an element of surprise, but again, the twists were more bizarre than compelling.

I generally really enjoy a compilation of stories like this, with shorts from different authors in a variety of wheelhouses. I especially loved the idea of the stories being anonymized, because I think it does allow people to write what they want to write and experiment as they wish without worrying about their family and friends reading it and getting a glimpse into their particular fantasizes. Unfortunately, this collection was just a mess for me.

Immediately I noticed that this book had formatting/editing issues (consistently throughout the book the letter 'I' is randomly capitalized in the middle of a word so many times that it's distracting), but I understand these are pre-publications copies, I just tried to ignore it. The more I read though, the more it seemed like no one had even taken a cursory run at editing. Many of the stories were oddly (maybe not poorly, necessarily just.... oddly) written and several were downright confusing. The hotel maid section specfially made very little sense. The story concerning dicks from the sky was especially acid trippy in a bad way. Usually, short story compilations are very quick reads for me, but I struggled to get through several of these.

I do understand that there's different strokes for different folks, and I often read compilations where some of the stories are just not my thing, but it doesn't ruin the book for me I appreciate the writing and different world view. I did get some of that here, the stories could not have been more different, which I liked. However, they pretty consistently had weird phrases that were a huge turn off. Multiple times while reading I came across phrases that were honestly just gross. I started writing them down but had to stop because I'm very open with my phone and didn't want someone coming across it. Some of the phrases I noted before I stopped writing it down; "I fucked her like a plumber unclogs a toilet", "Dive right inside you and clean out your insides", "Patootie".

I love the idea behind this collection, but the stories just didn't work for me at all.

I found most of these stories disappointing. Some were poorly written, some were utterly confusing, most I ended up skimming entirely.
