Oh. My. Goodness.
This book was SO SWEET!
I was literally sitting there reading each epage with a sappy grin, going awww as the story progressed! There was simply nothing to it, but to do it. and yep, I was all on board.
We've got childhood friends that went separate ways in a hurry thanks to an ill-timed kiss...well, not so much ill-timed as perhaps the headspace of one wasn't in the right frame of mind, but I digress. We've got a second chance at a first time romance that might happen, or might not happen, thanks to secrets littering the landscape of their past and present. We've got sweet interactions, and moments that AGAIN make you say AWWW! We've also got family connections, bullying assists (for teenagers AND adults!), and such a BIG dose of hometown spirit, you can't help but feel like one of this gorgeous community. I laughed, I sighed (A LOT), I cringed, and hoped (so so SO much!), and by book's end, that happily ever after was in reach, if only they'd both step over their self drawn lines in the sand to grab on tight. I loved Logan and Viv so very much, individually and for the potential they held as a couple. I could feel the bonds of friendship they built from the ground up, could see the "something more" that developed once upon a time gain a new spark of life, and couldn't wait to see it come to fruition. All the small moments along the way added up to a sweet romance readers won't be able to stay away from...at least, that's THIS reader's point of view. 💕
The sweetheart crush
Miranda Liasson.
Small town romance.
A hot elf
And a book author.
I love the small town romance that this author brings to us, A little christmas, and her story makes you want to crawl into the book and just be part of the story. You instantly fall in love with the characters. These characters have so much going for them. We have a book author. A hot Elf. And so much history from the past.
Sometimes you do things, Before you think and they have a way of Surfacing. And someone's feelings get hurt. Before you have a chance to make good on them. Because the past always comes back. Small towns everyone knows everyone's business.
I must say everything about this book was absolutely perfect. My favorite parts were the hot tub scenes. No one knows you're there and then all of a sudden you have company. Absolutely a sweet story.
I also love a book that has pets in it.
This sweet book has a dog. And cat. Absolutely perfect.🐾🐾
I would recommend Miranda Liasson Books to anyone because they're sweet.
Small town romance books are some of my
Favorites.
He'd fallen in love with his best friend since childhood. She ran away because of fear of being stuck in the small town without realizing her dreams. Twelve years later, Viv and Logan are back home fighting more than just the attraction for each other. Come back to Blossom Glen and enjoy elephant ears, cute animals, hot tub conversations, and good friends!
Trigger: bullying
This a new to me author and I enjoyed the book. I like that each book in the series is a stand alone, so I didn't feel like I was behind or missing a lot of the story. However, I will go back and read the previous 2 books. I enjoyed Viv and Logan's 2nd chance love story. It was a fun read and made me smile.
The sweetest romance between two childhood best friends. Viv and Logan's friendship ended twelve years ago, after he tried to kiss her and she ran off to Paris. Now she's back home temporarily in Blossom Glen, feeling like a failure after her photography dreams didn't pan out. Logan is now a bestselling thriller author, and he happens to be back home as well. They meet up, and the sparks fly immediately. However, Logan is looking to settle down in his hometown, and Viv's fear of further failure has her ready to book it, to prove she can succeed in a more stable profession. Can Logan find love with the person who once broke his heart? And can Viv give her dreams a second chance? Pick up The Sweetheart Crush and find out.
This was the perfect kind of romance read for me. I love the second chance for childhood best friends to become more trope. Both main characters are likable and human. The familial relationships were lovely, and I enjoyed the small town setting (and the fun Christmas store, even if it wasn't Viv's favorite place). I've not read the other entries in the series, but I enjoyed the setting, so I'll be hunting them down now. A sweet and lighthearted read, with plenty of emotion. Would recommend.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson is a sweet romance. It is the story of Viv Montgomery and Logan Matthews, childhood best friends who had a falling out before college, but are now thrown back together in their small town a dozen years later. The book is a clean romance with good background given for each character. I did realize as I was writing this review that this is the third in a series, of which I have only read this one, but had no trouble following the story.
The book The Sweetheart Crush was an enjoyable read. I would recommend any book written by Miranda Liasson. Happy Reading!
I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
This book is a cute romcom about the boy/girl next door. I enjoyed reading about how the MC's feelings developed in their past and discovering how they evolved throughout the book. The Christmas all the time shop was a funny aspect too. I really enjoyed the ending.
This book passed the time. It wasn't a favorite but I made it through slowly. Friends and enemies become friends.
The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson is the perfect Hallmark vibe of second chance meets friends to lovers. Viv and Logan were the absolute best friends throughout childhood and one incident caused radio silence for twelve years.
The chemistry right off the bat was on fire and the small town setting with a lovable cast just makes this the perfect story to cozy up with. This was an easy stand-alone read within the series but I can see how reading the previous books would have added another layer of depth and love for the supporting characters in this tight-knit small town. This was paced just fast enough that you get sucked in and get through quickly without it feeling like things weren't fleshed out enough.
The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson is the third book in the series called Blossom Glen. The book is a wonderful small town love story and a second chance love book. The book focuses on Viv and Logan. They were best friends all the way until the end of HS, when a single moment changed their mind. Viv left without a word and any communication for years.
Logan Matthews has come back to his hometown as a famous author to see family. One of the first people he sees is Viv. Her dreams crashed forcing her back to her hometown where she is madly saving up money to leave again. She is working hard at the local Christmas Tree shop and taking pictures as the opportunity happens.
Logan needs a publicist and Viv is the one to do the job for him. The fact that they both really still have serious chemistry with each other, seems to be something they cannot keep ignoring. A short term deal or will this turn into the real thing…
I loved this small town romance between childhood best friends. Miranda really knows how to write swoon worthy hero's. Logan is my new heartthrob. Even though Viv starts off a bit all over the place, I appreciated how she got her act together. It felt like real life to me. I've read all three books in this series and each one gets a little better. This being the best.
Photographer Viv Montgomery’s dreams were bigger than her small hometown of Blossom Glen. Following them meant leaving everything and everyone behind—including her sweet and funny best friend, Logan Matthews. Now, twelve years later, the town’s “sweetheart” is back, broke, and…well, working in the town’s famous Christmas store until she figures out her next move.
Enter her former best friend who she hasn’t seen or talked to in years. Only the cute, funny guy she remembers is gone—replaced by a famous, bestselling author who seems aloof, jaded, and is much, much hotter than any book nerd she’s ever seen. Seeing him in the news is one thing, but up close and person? Whewf, it’s warm in here.
This is a well-written, entertaining, and a sweet romantic read. I loved the connection between Logan and Viv and their story was heartwarming and cute.
I'm heartbroken that Blossom Glen is "done" with this last book in the series, but I absolutely loved it. Miranda has become a favorite author of mine thanks to this series.
Vivienne and Logan reconnect after 18 years apart in 3rd book of the series. It was a sweet story and you get to see all of the characters from Vivienne's family and the chemistry was there from the start. I did find the big obstacle/issue to be resolved rather quickly and I wish that it played out a little longer. But overall it's a good book and easy read.
At just eighteen, with choices to make
Viv Montgomery decided which route to take.
She avoided the kiss from her best friend
But never expected their friendship to end.
Twelve years later, they have both returned to Blossom Glen
Will their friendship - or more - blossom again?
Both have changed in so many ways
But the attraction is still there and there it stays!
There are secrets, family drama and romances, too,
In this small community, second-chance romance I recommend to you.
But when revelations take place could they thwart dreams?
As nothing is as straight forward as it initially seems!
A heartwarming story with families and friends
That leaves you with a smile on your face when it ends.
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

My Thoughts:
I loved The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson. Viv and Logan's story had good progression and entertainment. The chemistry between them was strong and believable. I enjoyed this story so much I read books one and two afterwards.
The Sweetheart Crush is yet another one of Miranda Liasson's cozy, romantic quick-reads, and it's just what my brain needed right now. I ran through this book, loving every minute of it. The story is so sweet and full of love and kindness. The Sweetheart Crush family is a harmony I would love to be a part of :D The support these characters have for one another left me in awe.
In this book, you have enough to make you smile, laugh, and go through all the emotions. I saw myself in Viv's struggles with chasing her dreams and the guilt she felt. It made me appreciate this story even more.
Tiny complaint: some words gave me a full-on cringe attack. It threw me off a few times, but that's just me being picky :D
This is really sweet and heartwarming, with a dash of drama. Logan and Viv are not teenagers anymore but their story starts there, and it brought me back memories of that teenage love. Do you know what I’m talking about? And the author did a really good job at it. I had the butterflies. I also liked the family dynamics. This book was an enjoyable read.
Cutest book I’ve read all year! Wonderful story and the characters are awesome. I kinda feel like the pace was a little weird but it was a great read overall. Wonderful book!
I fell in love with the gorgeous cover and liked the plot that made me smile and brought to another place. Rooted for the well plotted characters and enjoyed the well written story
