I really enjoyed Viv and Logan's story and even though I'd read the other two books in the BLossom Glen series, I didn't have a real sense that I knew Viv at all so it was like starting from the beginning.
After a few chapters with a slightly slow start, I dove into the book, eager to see what would happen next. From the moment Logan walked into the Christmas Store to see Viv in all her elf glory, I was hooked. They easily fell back into their old childhood roles and I had a good time.
There was a little bit of drama that added just the hint that was needed for the story. You knew it was gonna happen but how it all unfolded was the real surprise. I am a huge fan of friends to lovers, especially best friends, and a second chance romance so this was right up my alley. Logan & Viv were a great couple whether platonic or romantic, and I enjoyed every single page.
This is a charming Friends to enemies to lovers story, which I adore. Like a Christmas story, it is heartwarming and emotional and left me with a lovely feeling!
One these two made me feel like they wanted to express so many things. We have Viv a photographer who loves being behind a camera. But things doesn’t pan out. She’s back in her home town of Blossom Glenn. What she doesn’t expect is to see Logan Matthews. He’s different. Her one time best friend which seems a life time ago. Things change and they both moved on from that one kiss which changed everything. Logan a very well known best selling author has come back to his home for something to do with his book. He’s come to her for help with things help with. He actually hires her.
I was provided a copy in exchange I provided my thoughts how I felt. I would highly recommend reading the other Blossom Glen books before this one. That’s just me.
The Sweetheart Crush is the third book in the Blossom Glen series by Miranda Liasson. I have enjoyed this entire series.
This one has Viv Montgomery and Logan Matthews as the main focus. Every character plays a big part in the story but the friendship that is so much more between Viv and Logan is what makes this a beautiful book.
It is a sweet small-town romance that is so well written I could feel the chemistry and tension and closeness of them along with many of the towns people.
Thank you NetGalley, Miranda Liasson and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of The Sweetheart Crush. This is my personal review.
Another wonderful book by Ms. Woods whose fantastic talent and skill for creating plots and characters is truly on display in this story. Damon, who's Belle's older brother's best friend, is deemed off limits to any possible romantic relationship between him and Belle. However, there's no denying the appeal they have for one another and the story proceeds from there. I received an ARC of the book and have voluntarily chosen to write this review. I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can heartily recommend it.
Viv Montgomery is back home working in the Christmas store and in walks her former BFF Logan Matthews. They haven't been in touch in twelve years. Viv left for Paris for her photography, and he went to college and is a famous writer of thriller books.
It seems before the blow-up Logan tried to kiss Viv and she turned her head and has mixed emotions about their friendship. Viv is saving money to leave town for NYC and Logan has returned home to live. As they get closer together and mind their friendship Logan is keeping a secret from Viv and she is also determined to leave town.
I loved this story of the final Montgomery sister and find out about her older sisters.
Books is well written and keep my attention.
"The Sweetheart Crush" by Miranda Liasson is a charming and heartwarming contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. The book features the endearing Viv Montgomery, a talented photographer, and her lifelong best friend, Logan Matthews, who has become a famous author. Their rekindled friendship and budding romance make for a delightful and entertaining story.
The novel's small-town setting and the blossoming romance between Viv and Logan create a sweet and engaging atmosphere. The characters are easy to love, and you'll find yourself rooting for their happiness from the very beginning. The book is well-written, and the author captures the essence of their connection beautifully.
Miranda Liasson's storytelling is a perfect blend of nostalgia, emotion, and humor, making "The Sweetheart Crush" a feel-good read that will resonate with many.
The cover is not only visually appealing but also encapsulates the heartwarming spirit of the story within. If you're looking for a light and uplifting romance, this book is a perfect choice.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley, opinions are my own.
Logan and Viv had been best friends since they were kids. But one fateful night drove them apart for twelve years. He is back in town to spend more time with his family. Viv's dream failed and she is been reagrouping abd saving money to leave town again. Can they find their way to each other, forget and forgive their past mistakes and really have their HEA? A really good story about true friendship, family, second chances, facing your fears and finding happiness and love.
Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for my complimentary eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’ve read all the books in this series and this one is hands down my favorite. I adored the second chance romance between Viv and Logan. Being back in Blossom Glen and connecting with all the characters was the ray of sunshine my soul sorely needed this week.
It was nice seeing how much Viv and Logan matured since that awful kiss that didn’t happen moment. Their love never really went away, they just needed time to grow into it. While this is a sweet clean romance there is a lot of steam and underlying tension. The hot tub scene was just perfect.
Perfect if you enjoy:
Second chance romance
Best Friend
Small Town
I loved the first two books in the series and this one is every bit as good! Viv’s sisters were the main characters in previous books, so if you’ve read those, it feels like catching up with old friends when you start this book. Viv and Logan and both very endearing and likeable characters who I really connected with. As ever, there is a warm and cosy small town feel, with an array of family and friends as secondary characters. It’s a clean romance, but rich in emotion and romance, despite that. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes small town romances, regardless of whether you are new to the author or have read all the previous books in the series.
Vivienne Matthews had big dreams when she graduated from high school, and those dreams did not include staying in her small town of Blossom Glen. She was ready to put this place in her rear view mirror. She was a talented photographer, and she was going to conquer the world. She is back in town living in her mother's home and working as an elf in a store aptly named Christmas Every Day. She is biding her time and saving her money to blow this joint again.
Logan Matthews was the nerdy boy next door who was Viv's best friend. Logan left Blossom Glen as well, but he has come back to town as a highly successful novelist. He has lived his dream, and he has remade himself. When his publicity manager walks into the store one day with Logan, Viv is shocked at the transformation of the man before her. Gone is the skinny, nerdy best friend, and in his place is a refined, hunky man. Viv broke Logan's heart all those years ago, and he wants to be mad, but he just can't stay mad. When he hires Viv to help him with his social media presence and preparation for interviews, all those old feelings start bubbling to the surface.
This story was full of all sorts of emotions for both Viv and Logan. This was a story of second chances and new beginnings filled with a rich cast of characters who value friendship, community and family. Miranda Liasson knows how to write a heart warming romance. I adored Logan. He was so sweet and giving. He did not really care about the fame and fortune. He just loved writing. Vivi stole my heart as well when she was so kind and compassionate to Logan's little sister, Elise, and helped her through a hard time dealing with some high school mean girls. I also enjoyed all of the family connections with both families. These families did what families should do. They built each other up and helped each other. If you need a sweet romance that will lift you up, you will enjoy this wonderful story.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Such a cute small town love story! I was able to connect with the main character Vivienne and her interactions with her mother about choosing yourself or love. A sweet happily ever after ❤️
Thank you for the eARC!
This is a sweet second chance romance set in a small town. Logan is a bestselling author who is returning to his hometown. Vivian is a photographer and artist working so that she can make her way out of town. The story is interesting and easy to read. The characters in the story carry a wonderful message of family, friendship and love. Logan and Vivian use the opportunity to reconnect their friendship and fall in love once again.
Back to small town Blossom Glen! At first you may think it’s a Christmas story, but “Hot Elf” alias Viv only works at a Christmas theme store. And thanks to her new boss she hates it, then to makes things worse her old BBF from 12 years ago shows up. Logan is now a famous thriller author and her first crush, well her only crush. But an awkward moment when they were 18 changed everything between them.
Logan misses his hometown and wants to reconnect with his family, especially his little sister. He is totally social media inept and was advised he needs to connect to his fans. Seeing his BBF dressed as an Elf in the Christmas store, where he is to show his fans a personal side of himself has him reeling. All the old feeling from the past resurfaces, which unfortunately only made it a PR nightmare. Viv steps in to rescue Logan and winds up his new PR manager.
Such a wonderful sweet romance story, the third in the series but can be read alone. Was nice that the previous characters were also included. I love when you get to read how their story continues. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #TheSweetheartCrush #EntangledPublishing
A second chance at first love
Vivienne is almost out of Blossom Glen. Soon she’ll be able to go to New York City where she’ll find a job to show her family their sacrifice was not wasted. Logan is a successful writer coming home to reconnect with his family and learn how to connect with his fans. Running into his best friend from childhood was expected. In fact, he wanted to see her and hopefully have a second chance.
Miranda Liasson created a wonderful community in Blossom Glen with characters who are quirky and zany. I enjoyed the small-town feel behind an emotional second-chance story with strong family and community connections, that has love and forgiveness at its heart. A clean romance that moves swiftly and is packed with heartwarming moments. I loved the determination and devotion Logan showed to Vivienne and his family. Vivienne is in a whirlwind and with her family and Logan she is able to center herself and find her way. Ms. Liasson shines a light on bullying in school and in adults in a non-threatening way, with hope for reconciliation, and forgiveness. This is a stand-alone book within the Blossom Glen series. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC, and this is my honest review.
3.5 stars
Viv and Logan were best friends until the end of high school, when a misunderstanding about feelings and their individual life goals drove them apart. Now they're both back in town - him to return to his roots, but her plan is to make enough money to finally get away for good.
I wished Viv had stood up for herself more, especially in terms of the Christmas store job, and that she'd not lost all her confidence in her photography. I really wanted more of an epilogue update as to how her professional life had progressed.
I mostly liked Viv and Logan as characters, and I loved them as a couple because of their deep connection and history. I have enjoyed the previous two books in the series about Viv's sisters, and this was a nice way to close it out.
I would love to live in Blossom Glen!
Vivi Montgomery just wanted to earn enough money to be able to move to New York and get away from Blossom Glen by working at Christmas Every Day. But finding out that her ex-best friend Logan Matthews had moved back to town to write his new thriller especially when she wanted to avoid being around him.
Writer Logan Matthews didn’t know why his best friend had friend-zoned him before she left for school in Paris in photography that didn’t work out. But maybe they could be friends again but first he would have to tell her about his first book that he published.
The Sweetheart Crush will tick off so many perfect romance tropes of enemies-to-lovers, reconnecting with your first love and dealing with bullying.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love this childhood best friends to lovers, small town romance! Miranda Liasson has become a favorite author of mine. The storyline and characters were real to life. I experienced joy, sadness, as well as frustration throughout the book. It is easy to be deeply invested in the characters when an author evokes my emotions. It's one reason I love seeing characters from one book to another, I'm invested from the start. This is book three in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to the next book by this author!
Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review of this book.
THE SWEETHEART CRUSH
by Miranda Liasson
Love this town of Blossom Glen!
Viv Montgomery-Photographer
Logan Matthews - Author
Viv and Logan were high school sweethearts. They’ve left town to try to make a go at her photography. Logan left town and became a successful author.
This came back home because she just didn’t make it the way she wanted to. Logan’s back home to boost his media status by showing a little bit more of himself.
This book has definitely something for everyone. Second chance, romance, family, and love, Bulian, and much much more.
This is the third book in the blossom Glenn series. However, each one can be read alone.
The first one was the sweetheart deal
The second was the sweetheart fix
Miranda is one of the authors that I read without even looking at the description. She does an amazing job, and I really love this little town that she writes in.
I highly recommend this book, and this is my honest opinion
Viv Montgomery had big dreams that didn't fit her small town of Blossom Glen so she left town as soon as she was done with school and never looked back. Now with life not turning out the way she had hoped, and being broke with nowhere else to go, she finds herself back town and looking to start over. She's hoping it'll be the answer to prayers...but nothing could prepare her for what/whom she finds waiting for her!
The Sweetheart Crush is a delightfully penned romance that'll have you smiling from ear to ear the whole way through. The reunion between these two old friends brings lots of humor, emotion, and uplifting moments to the pages. I loved watching these two blaze a new life path together and find an unexpected romance along the way. They had me cheering them on with every page I turned, and that ending couldn't have been any sweeter! I think this one has bestseller written all over it, Ms. Liasson has truly outdone herself with this beautiful love story! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
