This book was so good! I enjoyed it so much, I purchased the rest of the series and another series by this author just a few chapters in. Loved the characters and the setting as well as the story. I also really liked how she captures the real challenges of real life and the section dealing with bullying I thought was met with an amazing solution! Amazing story and I want to read more about the characters in Blossom Glen! Thanks to #Netgalley for an amazing book!
The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson is the third book in the Blossom Glen romance series.
This book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book.
I have read the other books in the series, which I really enjoyed and was excited for Viv's story.
Viv Montgomery and Logan Matthews met as teenagers when they had a moment that split them up.
Fast forward over 10 years, and they are both in Blossom Glen where the story takes place.
I absolutely LOVED this story. The friends to enemies to lover's trope is nailed by the author.
I do LOVE how the characters. They are well written. This is a clean romance with lots of charm and romance.
Highly recommend the entire series!
This is a contemporary, sweet romance novel that is both well-written and entertaining. It features Viv Montgomery, a likable, creative, and talented female lead. Logan Matthews is a famous author who has returned home to be closer to his family. Viv and Logan have been best friends since birth, but everything changed when Logan tried to kiss her twelve years ago.
When Logan returns home, he finds Viv working in a Christmas shop instead of pursuing her dream of becoming a successful photographer. The two reunite and embark on a journey that is full of emotions, from past hurts and heartbreak to a fresh new start. These lovable characters will entertain you with their heartwarming story in this easy-to-read book.
4.5 Stars. This is another wonderful book in the Blossom Glen series. The contemporary romance is a friends to lovers to enemies to lovers (if that makes sense). I really enjoyed the story of Viv and Logan. She was going to be a huge hit in the photography world, but it didn't work out. He is the author of highly successful thrillers. He needs someone to do his social media and gives her the job. They are wonderful together and the other family members really add to the story, especially Logan's high school aged sister.
A great story and a great romance between the characters.
Thanks to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All thoughts are my own.
Vivienne Montgomery has always dreamed of being a photographer and left everything in her small town behind to try and find success in Paris. Things didn’t quite work out for her, and now she’s back in her hometown of Blossom Glenn working at the local Christmas store. And former best friend and successful author, Logan Matthews is back in town too.
It takes one look for Viv and Logan each to realize that they still have secret feelings for each other. As they work together to improve Logan’s social media, those feelings start to come to light and a romance that they never let happen as kids begins to bloom.
The Sweetheart Crush is an adorably sweet read. The small town and it’s inhabitants are described so well that it’s almost like being there. It feels like such a cozy and heartwarming place to live! I love that Viv and Logan were so supportive of each other’s dreams and were able to talk through everything that had happened between them.
Read if you enjoy:
* Best friends to lovers
* Second chance romance
* Small towns
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC.

A cozy romance with interesting variety in topics. This could have been turned into a Christmas romance, but it really was just Viv working in Christmas store to get back on her feet. It also could have been taken a turn into a thriller with Logan being a thriller writer, but it stayed cozy. This best friend's to lovers romance took to rekindling friendship after 12 years. Viv had to step in to help Logan as his PR manager to fix their past mess and get to know their better adult selves.
So much of this book, I just wanted that awkward teenage side kiss/ditch to be over with and finally moved past. It felt like it took a bit for Viv and Logan to heat up towards one another. Thank goodness for hot tubs and secluded cabins.
As with previous books, the setting and down to earth characters are really the shining stars of this book. Blossom Glen just has that hometown feel where everyone cares and looks out for eachother. Of course there is always a little drama, but that makes the town feel more authentic.
I was glad to see some previous characters, but they only added to the warm community feel and reading previous books wasn't necessarily needed. Hot elf photographer plus nerdy turned hunk writer make the perfect artsy couple!
Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.
Blossom Glen continues to be packed with small-town charm. She’s downtrodden and dressed as an Elf at the local, year-round Christmas store. He’s a smoking-hot author. Viv and Logan took quite the journey from childhood besties, to estranged, and eventually lovers. Big life plans and misunderstandings got in the way of their relationship the first time. Anxiously, I waited for it to happen again in some form as they reconnected/connected in new ways. #HEA
Much like the rest of the Blossom Glen series, The Sweatheart Crush can be read as a stand-alone or out of sequence. However, I found it best as part of a series. A wonderful read to cozy up with. Viv was very relatable in terms of dreaming big only to readjust her career expectations and education later in life to be more “realistic.” I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Viv and Logal slipping back into friendship and morphing into a loving and romantic relationship.
Viv Montgomery had dreams of getting out of her small hometown and seeing the world through the eyes of her camera. For a short time, she did but Viv is back in Blossom Glen and the only job she can find is in the Christmas Shop that is open all year round. She was broke, and she had to take what she could get. But a jobs a job, despite that it comes with a supervisor from hell, she does her job. And just when things seemed to be on an even keel, the one person she does not want to return to town does. Her ex – best friend put a topping on the Christmas tree.
Logan Matthews is shocked to see that Viv is still in town. Logan is a famous author who left town to pursue a dream career, just like Viv. She is the girl he could not forget. They have a lot of history, and can history be rewritten. When he asked Viv to take on the job as his media consultant, she agreed. Is it a mistake, can they work together without the past coming forward. In doing her job, will Viv find out the big secret that Logan is keeping and will secrets from Viv’s past rear their ugly head and put the future in jeopardy.
This was a story filled with secrets of the past that bring these two friends back together to see that along, they were meant for each other. There were lots of moments that made you feel the love these two really had for each other and how their family and friends knew what they didn’t along, that they both deserved a happy ever after together. I enjoyed this story, although it’s not a holiday story, it gives that Christmas feeling you want all year long.
Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for and ARC of this book to read and give my honest opinion of this book.
Viv Montgomery and Logan Mathews were best friends for 18 years until a misunderstanding drove them apart. Twelve years later, they are both back in their hometown.
Logan is the successful author of thriller novels. He is definitely not a skinny, awkward teenager any more. He has turned into quite a hunk.
Viv dreamed of being a successful photographer, making a living with her art. Instead she is back home, dressed as an elf working as a salesperson at the Christmas Every Day shop in Blossom Glen.
Logan is home in Blossom Glen for a publicity photo shoot when his publicist suggests that they take some Christmas photos . . . in the Christmas Every Day shop. Awkward!
Miranda Liasson writes sweet, clean romance stories. I enjoyed The Sweetheart Crush. It can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading the whole series.
This is a small town, contemporary, clean romance book. I enjoyed the story but I did feel like it was a bit wordy. The story reminded me of a Hallmark movie— cute but predictable.
Thank you Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to receive this ARC.
This was an add in my long string of second chance small town romances. I did overall enjoy this book and the overall plot. However, I didn’t understand what their professions now had to do with them both ending up in their small town again, yet it was a huge hanging point. Like I understood Viv washed out of school and Logan was back for his family, but it seemed like more years passed than they explained. I did think the big secret would’ve been a deal breaker for me, but Im glad they got thru it. I also think the ending was super cheesy but that’s what romance readers love. Overall a good read? 3/5
Another great book written by Miranda. She writes about love, family, friendships and the beauty of living in a small town like Blossom Glen. Miranda writes how some of her adult and teenage characters deal with bullying and how it impacted their lives. The Sweetheart Crush is the third book in the Blossom Glen series. You can read each book alone. After reading this book, I am almost certain you will want to read the others!!!!
This is such a good series. I have loved all the sisters and other characters. Viv is the baby, and everyone loves her. She is the town sweetheart. Her sisters are all married and settled, but Viv is still trying to find her way. Twelve years ago, she and her best friend, Logan, had a moment, and she ran away. She went to Paris to be the best photographic artist ever. But things didn't turn out the way she thought they would and now she is back home in Indiana working at a Christmas store. She is saving her money so she can move to New York and work at an ad agency. Logan has been gone for so long but now has come home to reconnect with his family. He is shocked to run into Viv. He is a very successful writer, but he is having a hard time with his online presence. Once Viv is over the shock, she is more than happy to help him. She has really missed her friend and wants to go back to their friendship. The way Logan feels, he isn't sure that friendship is enough. But he will take whatever he can get. Logan is keeping a secret that could change his relationship with Viv. Can they let go of the past and try again?
The Sweetheart Crush has it all for fans of contemporary, small town, second chance romance!💖
I absolutely loved hanging out in the world of Blossom Glen with Viv, Logan and their families. The Sweetheart Crush was heartwarming, heart wrenching, funny, and maddening at times (in all the right ways).
Logan (super hot best selling author) and Viv (once aspiring artistic photographer) find themselves thrown back together after a chance encounter at the Christmas shop in the small town they grew up in, where Viv now works after returning to her hometown. The banter between these two former best friends is unmatched and I laughed out loud so many times throughout this book. There is no way they can avoid each other (their families are intertwined), so learning how they come to terms with all that time spent apart is so much fun.
All of the secondary characters are well developed and I grew to care for them all. I also really liked how a subplot was thrown in with Logan's little (teenage) sister and how that was handled in the book. (No spoilers 😅).
I will definitely be making my way back to Blossom Glen to read more in this series💞
A few of my favorite quotes from the book:
"But life doesn't give you a rewind, does it?
Everything is different now.
And I think I just lost my best friend."
"Logan opened a page and began to read. She looked like the best thing he'd ever seen, soft and vulnerable, tough and determined. Her lips were soft and full, and her hair was shining in the sunlight, and he would've given anything to kiss her."
Happy reading and thank you Entangled LLC for this ARC!
This is a sweet second chance at romance story. Viv is a failed photographer, in her mind, and Logan is a successful author. It is a happy coincidence that they're both in Blossom Glen at the same time twelve years after their friendship died. Their struggles to stay uninvolved and objective are doomed to fail. The big question is will they each get past their fears and grudges to start a new friendship? The town of Blossom Glen is rooting for them and doing its best to push them together, no matter what!
This book was such a cute friends to lovers, small town romance. The storyline is captivating and the chemistry between the two main characters is organic and realistic.
Viv goes through a lot of guilty over her family helping her live her dreams at 18 years old and feels she’s let them done due to being unsuccessful but they just love her and want her happy. It was very relatable and made me cry.
Logan is a sweetie and I loved that he was honest and open with her throughout the book.
I’d highly recommend this to anyone who loves short realistic small town romance!
Ok, let me preface this review by saying I generally liked this book and it is a solid 3⭐️ for me! However, I found that the main conflict resolution happened very fast and far too easily. Viv and Logan hadn't really spoken in 12 years. He wrote a scathing fictionalization of her based on a turned cheek and a couple comments, that while hurtful seemed a bit much for entire novel. The book was cruel and malicious. And he didn't even tell her about the book and found out on her own! And then she just quickly forgives him for it. I just needed more heart to heart about the book, more explanation and more groveling. That said, it is a cute book which I did like.
The Sweetheart Crush is #3 in the Blossom Glen series. This is my favorite book out of this wonderful series. A sweet clean romance. Estranged long time friends Viv and Logan reunited when Logan returns to be with family. Viv is trying to work on her career path while helping Logan prepare for an interview. There is a sweet connection between the character's. This is a story that you will want to curl up with a blanket and read.
Thank you NetGalley and Entagled Publishing LLC. for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest review.
Welcome back to Blossom Glen - the small hometown of the three Montgomery sisters: Tessa, Juliet, and Vivienne.
This newest installment is the third book in this standalone, interconnected small town romance series and is the story of the youngest Montgomery sister, Viv.
Photographer Viv has returned to Blossom Glen after hitting some roadblocks to her big dreams. She’s a little unsure, but ready to steady herself, save up some money and try once again for another dream in a big city. What she wasn’t counting on? The return of her former best friend, and childhood love Logan Matthews, a bestselling author, to town. Making her feel things and question what her future holds.
A lovely wrap to the series, if you are looking for a heartwarming, feel good and lighthearted small town romance this series has you covered. It feels comfortable and relaxing to fall back into the Blossom Glen world, and I loved getting to read Viv’s story.
Viv and Logan were both interesting and sweet characters, I really enjoyed watching their love story unfold and them reconnecting. I think they each had a good personal journey to achieve as well as figuring out their love. This series feels like watching a sweet hallmark show or like an episode of sweet magnolias. I love that it just leaves you with a warm feeling and relaxed.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an early copy!
The Blossom Glen series has my heart, the Sweetheart crush is the 3rd installment. Small town, sweet and heartwarming, loveable characters, realistic romance and witty banter. I adored Liv and Logan’s story and soaking up their history from both POVs.
I’m sad this series has come to an end
