This book is perfect for those who need a clean and easy book. The conflicts are minor and do not cause any real stress to the reader. Is the whole book predictable? Yes. But it was still very enjoyable. Sometimes, you just need a little fluff in your life! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely go back and read the other 2 books in the series.
Description
Photographer Viv Montgomery’s dreams were bigger than her small hometown of Blossom Glen. Following them meant leaving everything and everyone behind—including her sweet and funny best friend, Logan Matthews. Now, twelve years later, the town’s “sweetheart” is back, broke, and…well, working in the town’s famous Christmas store until she figures out her next move.
Enter her former best friend who she hasn’t seen or talked to in years. Only the cute, funny guy she remembers is gone—replaced by a famous, bestselling author who seems aloof, jaded, and is much, much hotter than any book nerd she’s ever seen. Seeing him in the news is one thing, but up close and person? Whew, it’s warm in here.
Now he’s offered her a job she desperately needs (blissfully free of Santas), and suddenly it’s like no time has passed at all. Their friendship is just like it was…with one very unexpected difference. Because somewhere between the blossom festival and snuggling in front of a crackling fire, their friendship is definitely turning into some more. Only, Logan’s been hiding the secret of his enormous success…and the sweetheart of Blossom Glen is about to read all about it.
Each book in the Blossom Glen series is STANDALONE:

A great addition to a series that can be read as a stand alone. A small town very lovely lighthearted second chance romance. Logan returns to his home town to spend time with his family and reset. Almost immediately he bumps into Viv, the girl who broke his heart and left town to pursue her dreams. She They were best friends for as long as they both can remember until that one almost kiss that changed everything. Can they find their way back to each other? They’re both carrying lots of emotions about what happened then, where they are in their lives now and how to move forward, Of course we get exactly what they want and need and we get a really nice happily ever after. Exactly what we come to expect from this author. A feel good story that leaves you smiling.
The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson brings us back to the small town of Blossom Glen. With the conclusion of another wonderful small town series, book three centers around the youngest Montgomery sister, Vivienne.
When Vivienne left town to chase after her dreams, she not only left her family but also her best friend Logan Matthews. In particular, the night before, something happened that changed their lives for what seemed like forever, burdening a lifetime friendship broken, moving their lives on without each other.
Now, twelve years later, Viv is back in Blossom Glen, working at a local shop, feeling unsure of her future, trying to get her life in order, gets an unexpected visitor that brings the past crashing down in the present. In disbelief, a familiar voice unsettles her emotions when no other than Logan comes into the shop. No longer that young boy she last saw but a man all grown up and unlike her who is living out his dreams, has become a famous author.
In attempt to softened his image, a pr moment goes in the wrong direction and Viv steps in to help her old friend. On a whim offers her his services and to her surprised he hires her bringing them back as if no time left between them. As they work on his image and spend more time together, they find their friendship blossoming into more than just friends. Only one problem, Logan must share a secret that might ruin his chance at a happily ever after. Will they stand a chance second time around?
The Sweetheart Crush wraps up the series on a beautiful note. It's always sweet seeing the friends to lovers theme but what made this series wonderful was seeing both of them being able to reconnect and get a second chance to fix the past. I loved how we see how much Vivienne grew as a person and really found herself and where she's meant to be. And Matt, allowing himself to surrender the walls, especially with the cloud of his father's legacy to find himself brought him to where he needed to be allowing both of them to be the best versions of themselves.
I'm so glad the series concluded with them. Overall, this was a wonderful series about second chances, the friendships and the unbreakable family bonds. If you haven't read the series, go back an start with the first book. Ideally, the general concept of the book can be read as a standalone but I recommend for continuity to read them in order.
It's time for Viv's story. After years estranged, she and Logan are both back in Blossom Glen at the same time. There are tons of things that they have left unsaid, but finding the courage is daunting. I loved their best friends vibe and banter. I also enjoyed catching up with previous characters.
I loved this book! There is so much humor and heart throughout the whole book that I just really enjoyed reading it. Every evening when I would start to read it just felt like coming home to friends. The character development was great and I loved the sense of family and community throughout the whole book. I also appreciated that author's approach to dealing with the difficult subject of bullying. I don't want to risk sharing any spoilers so I'll end by saying that you should just read this book! You can thank me later.
Thank you so much to Entangled and NetGalley for the EArc of this book!
The Sweetheart Crush is book 3 in the Blossom Glen series by Miranda Liasson.
I loved being back in Blossom Glen, Indiana but this time we are here with Photographer Viv Montgomery.
This sweet romance was emotional, with realistic characters, and just so comforting to read.
This sweet romance has everything I want in a romance. The characters are realistic and charming.
The romance was adorable and I was captivated by Viv and Logan’s relationship throughout the book.
A sweet former best friend/romance with some added secrets kept me so entertained.
I loved book two The Sweetheart Fix, and book one The Sweetheart Deal is on my tbr list.
These titles in the Blossom Glen series can be read as a standalone.
And I hope this series only continues from here! I love being BG!
I would like to thank NetGalley and Entangled: Amara for the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication date in return for my honest review.
The Sweetheart Crush is a sweet, mostly clean, contemporary romance about high school best friends turned enemies turned lovers years later.
I thought the storyline was well thought out and the characters were engaging. The side stories, like Sheila and Elise, worked within the conflict of main characters Vivienne and Logan.
What I didn’t love was the epilogue. The ending for the characters was as expected but the reveal about Logan’s dad was cringy.
Thank you Entangled for gifting me an ARC.
I’ve enjoyed the two previous books in the Blossom Glen series and have been waiting for Viv’s story. The books can be read as a standalone but reading in order avoids spoilers from the previous (sisters) romances. Viv Montgomery had big dreams growing up. She wanted to leave Indiana with dreams of Paris and a love of photography. Her life long best friend, Logan Matthews wanted to be a writer like his father. An awkward romantic moment splits the two when still in their teens. They meet again when he returns to Blossom Glen twelve years later. He’s now a successful thriller writer. Viv has returned home as well. Her photography plans didn’t pan out but she has talent with social media and PR. And it is just the thing that Logan needs help with so he hires her.
This is a sweet closed door, childhood friends to more romance. It is very much for family supporting family and overcoming past fears. There is even a side story on bullying. The book isn’t dramatic or angsty and there is no doubt of Logan and Viv’s attraction. I’m assuming this is the conclusion in the series as mom and even grandma get nice little wrap ups. Thank you to Entangled Publishing for the ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review.
I seriously adore the Blossom Glen series and The Sweetheart Crush is the third installment in this wonderful series. Each book has featured one of the Montgomery sisters, and this book features the youngest Viv. Right from the start, the enemies-to-lovers trope is brought to light as her former best friend (now a famous novelist) arrives back in town, and the sparks immediately fly.
I loved Viv's character and her drive. I thought all the characters were developed and I loved that the entire family was still included, so we could keep up with the other sisters and family members too.
The Sweetheart Crush will warm your heart, as will this entire series.
Thank you Entangled/Amara and NetGalley for the eARC!
Thank you to Netgalley for providing the digital ARC. I have read all of Miranda Liasson's books, and The Sweetheart Crush did not disappoint. Although there didn't seem to be any real spark, or connection, between Vivi and Logan, it was there if you followed the storyline. Small town books are my favorite to lose myself in, and this book hit all my highpoints.

The Sweetheart Crush

Thank you, to @entangled publishing, for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
Viv Montgomery was the youngest in her family. She always wanted to be a photographer and to get out of Blossom Glen, Indiana to prove she could be a success. She also felt guilty because her mom and sisters did everything, they could help her study photography in Paris, and when her career didn’t go anywhere, she felt like a failure to not only to herself, but also to her family. The only thing she could think of doing was to get another degree, this time in public relations. She had been taking classes online and when she had enough money she would move to New York. In the meantime, she was working in store for a boss that she didn’t like, helping at the family bakery and babysitting her niece. Yes, she would miss her family when she moved, but she had to pay them back.
Then one day Logan walked into the store she was working at. He used to be her everything; he lived next door, he was her best friend, and her crush. When they were teenagers, Logan went to kiss her, and she moved so that he couldn’t kiss her. From that day on they lost touch going their separate ways. Now they are older, she’s a bestselling author and she is in a rut. Will sparks reignite between these two? Will Viv still move to New York?
My thoughts: If you like sweet romances with a clean ending you will want to read this. I loved the setting and the close family. I also really enjoyed Viv’s struggle to define her own success. This book also dealt with a teenager being bullied and the way the bullying was handled seemed very realistic. You will want Viv and Logan to figure out what they want ASAP. The chemistry is clear and strong. I also love that you don’t have to move to a big city to feel like you finally made it. Maybe success can be finally letting yourself be happy.
This was good and satisfying read. There were times I wanted to shake a little sense into Viv, but I think that's the whole point and part of her character arc. She had to realize what we (the reader) knew all along. Now that I know all the characters better, I want to go back and re-read the series.
Viv and Logan were next door neighbors and best friends until right after high school graduation when he kissed her. Unfortunately she turned her head and kissed her cheek. She was embarrassed, left for college and avoided his calls and texts.
When his embarrassment turned to anger he wrote his first book and she was the model for the main character, who he made a serial killer. He published under a pen name so no one knew he wrote it.
Twelve years later they are both home.
Miranda Liasson has written a great story about young love, friendship, and small town life. She has also written about bullying, both by adults and teenagers, and how people react to the bully and the denial of family that loves (creates?) the bully. Her characters are very well drawn and described. The story is so satisfying and the ending is perfect.

Vivienne (30yo) got out of Blossom Glen after high school, only returning when she failed as a photographer. But now she’s finishing her new degree and has nearly all the money she needs to leave again—hopefully for good this time. As Vivienne is on the cusp of leaving again, her one-time best friend Logan returns, tempting her to stay as history repeats itself.
The biggest obstacles of the relationship between Vivienne and Logan are Vivienne and Logan, and it is so easy to make the same decisions they made over a decade ago. The story is cheesy and the pitfalls can be seen from the first few chapters, but the story is still good. Like Vivienne, readers are encouraged to make the difficult choices that will lead to greater happiness rather than fall back on the seemingly easy answers that lead to what others say will bring success. Not everything works out perfectly, but happiness is not dependent on perfection.
Vivienne and Logan are implied White, and Robin is implied Black. The mature content rating is for alcohol use, innuendo, nudity, mentions of condoms, and implied sex.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this book.
This book is a quick sweet romance. I enjoyed reading the story. I am a sucker for happy endings. The book is the third installment of the Blossom Glen series, but, can be easily read as a stand alone book.
I love the small town setting, the male and female characters, Viv and Logan, as well and the cute cat, whichis an added plus.
The book is a wholesome light hearted romance that is a snuggle up stay inside afternoon tea time escape book for me.
Recommend.
This is the last of the Sweetheart series that tells the youngest Montgomery sister, Viv’s story. The story starts in a flashback to the summer before college with her BFF Logan Matthews. She and Logan have been friends since they were in diapers. At some point, Logan’s friendship feels like more and he goes in for a kiss, and Viv rejects him. They both react badly, and their friendship ends. It is now twelve years later, and Viv is back in town with her tail between her legs after failing as a photographer in Paris. She is working in the local year round Christmas store as an elf, when in walks Logan, now a successful author. This is a wonderful second chance romance that also deals with a fear of rejection and failure. This has been a delightful series, and I am sad that we have run out of Montgomery sisters! I would definitely recommend this book, and the whole series. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This is the third book in the Blossom Glen series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone. For those familiar with the series it was great to get updates on the other Montgomery women, and to finally get Vivienne’s story. Vivienne is a talented photographer who feels like she peaked early and squandered her chance to make it as an artist. At a particularly low moment in her life, she runs into none other than her former best friend and secret crush Logan. Logan is a famous thriller writer who is back home trying to re-imagine his image and find inspiration for his next book. As the two former best friends end up forced to work together on a project, old feelings resurface that are much harder to hide. A fun second chance romance, best friends to lovers story set in a charming small town. Another great book from Miranda Liasson. I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.
A wonderful story of miscommunication, regret, love and friendship and how it all intertwines in life.
Miranda Liasson's The Sweetheart Crush is The third installment of the Blossom Glen series and it just might be the best one yet. It is yet another beautifully written, emotionally evocative story that you can't put down. The novel centers around Viv Montgomery and Logan Matthews. After a missed opportunity between the two of them, they parted ways with Logan going on to become a successful writer and Viv constantly struggling with her life direction. Viv is determined to turn things around, and when Logan needs her help with his social media, Viv sees it as her ticket out of her small town. The more time she spends with her former crush, however, the more she wonders if the life she is supposed to have is the one she really wants.
I am a huge fan of Liasson's storytelling and writing style. Viv is an interesting protagonist; she is caring, loving, and determined. Her belief in others doesn't extend to believing in her own abilities, but Logan is there every step of the way to bolster her confidence in herself. Logan tired to be aloof towards his former friend, but he is immediately disarmed by her and can't help from being as honest and open with her as possible. Their relationship evolves beautifully as they rekindle their friendship. I found this book to be much more emotional than The Sweetheart Fix, with so many complicated emotions from both characters expressed so well that you can't help but empathize with both of them. The book had me in tears both from laughter and from relating to the pain of both Viv and Logan.
Having read the previous two books in the series, I was already familiar with many of the side characters, but they stand on their own and reading the previous books is not necessary to the understanding or enjoyment of this one as the main focus is squarely on the two protagonists. The town of Blossom Glen is a character all it's own and sounds like an idyllic place to live and visit. I loved, loved, loved this book and I greatly recommend this book to anyone, but especially readers of fiction and romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was the cutest cozy romance! I loved the characters and getting to know them. I didn’t realize it was a series and I can’t wait to read the others. The imagery the author created of the town just seemed so peaceful and beautiful, I would love to visit this type of town in real life :)
