Viv Montgomery once had plans of making a living through her photography, but things didn’t go as planned and she finds herself back home in Blossom Glen where she works at a local Christmas shop. Her plan is to move back to New York City as soon as she can save up the money to make the move and find a suitable job.

Logan Matthews was her neighbor and best friend growing up. He also left Blossom Glen and has since become a bestselling suspense author, following in his father’s footsteps. One thing he’s not good at is social media. Logan is now back home for a book signing and runs into Liv, literally, in the Christmas store where she’d dressed as an elf. It’s a shock to them both since they lost touch years before due to a misunderstanding.

One look at Viv and he can’t hold his grudge any longer. He hires her to overhaul his social media presence and even though she wants nothing to do with him, she accepts the offer because it will provide her with a large sum of money to use toward her goal. The more time they spend together, the closer they become, but this time the feelings are a lot stronger than before. Logan is concerned that once she finds out the secret that launched his success, she’s going to be upset. Very upset.

Is there any hope for Viv and Logan or will she take off again once she learns his secret? A fun story of hope, second chances, new beginnings, and more.

We are back in Blossom Glen where the Montgomery sisters are finding love. This is Vivienne/Viv’s story, the youngest of them.
Viv dreamed big and even at a young age, was a talented photographer. Her next door neighbor and best friend Logan Matthews was usually her confident. But 12 years ago, the day he attempted to kiss her , her life changed. Even then Viv feared that having a relationship with him, might keep her in town and away from her dreams. When she left town to pursue her dreams, she didn’t realize she left him broken hearted and very mad .
Now 12 years later, after her dreams and self confidence were shattered , she’s still in town but determined to leave soon to pursue her dreams in NYC.
Whom she didn’t expect to return to town was Logan, now a famous writer and truly a hunk.
Feelings are still there , and even though Viv is willing to help him with some PR , she’s determined to leave in the near future.
In the midst of this touching story, the author delves with a subject that seems to be growing amongst the youth , and that is bullying. A reminder that we must be more vigilant as sometimes these incidents can lead to serious consequences for those bullied.
This is a story about family and friendships. It’s a story about believing in oneself as well as taking a chance in life and love. Especially because in doing so we might find the biggest gift of all, love with the person that “sees” us.
This was another wonderful story by this very talented author.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Entangled: Amara.
The opinions are solely my own.

This is a well-written, entertaining, contemporary, sweet romance novel. It has a likable, creative and talented female protagonist, a kind and caring male protagonist, small town charm, a touch of humor, a heartwarming, second chance romance, supportive family, a cute cat, an uplifting message of following your dreams, and a happily ever after ending. This is the third entry Ms. Liasson's outstanding Blossom Glen series and can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone. Her loyal readers will enjoy the return to this lovely town. Many thanks to Ms. Liasson, Entangled Publishing, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this delightful novel. This is my honest opinion.

I was very excited to read this newest book by Miranda Liasson. I throughly enjoyed the first 2 books in this series and just knew this third would not disappoint. Vic and Logans story was a very cute the one that almost got away story. The banter between the 2 characters was very entertaining, the underline story of the teen bullying was well written and now I want to move to the Midwest. This is a very sweet read nothing heavy and very lighthearted. I enjoy a book series with families connected and small towns so this story was right up my alley. If you haven’t read the other 2 I highly recommend reading those as well.

There was a time Viv Montgomery was planning exciting things for her future. She was soon graduating from high school. She loved photography. Many people felt she had a career with her fantastic photos. Her best friend, Logan, was someone who cared about her. They spoke often and shared dreams and plans. Logan hoped to become a writer like his father. At 18 he too had great promise and began his first novel. A misunderstanding came between the duo and neither had spoken for twelve years.
In Liassonś third in her Blossom Glen series she puts these two adults back together. Their families are still close as they live next door. Logan has since become a bestselling suspense author. Liv has a degree in Public Relations. At this point she plans to save her dollars earned at the Christmas Shop, move to New York and find stable employment. All seems to go awry when Logan is scheduled for a book signing at the store where Liv is dressed as an elf while on the job at the holiday store.
The Sweetheart Crush will be published by Entangled Publishing of MacMillan on October 23, 2023. I was asked to read and review Miranda Liasson´s latest novel by Brittany Z of Entangled via NetGalley. It was a true pleasure to read another of this delightful series. This book gives the reader a lovely tale regarding the two old friends. I highly recommend The Sweetheart Crush to all Liassonś fans as well as those who would like to read a charming, wonderful book.

“The Sweetheart Crush” by Miranda Liasson brings us back to Blossom Glen and features childhood friends Vivienne Montgomery and Logan Matthews.

Logan, a famous thriller writer, is back in town to be close to his family.
Vivienne, a photographer and artist, is saving money to leave her hometown.
Spending time together, both realize their youthful feelings are stronger than ever. Yet, to have a future they have to deal with past hurts.

I was pulling for these two from the very beginning. I laughed out loud and had moments of “aww…” as I followed along as Logan and Viv reignited their friendship to forever.
Ms. Liasson created wonderful characters in a town that I fell in love with.

Didn't realize that The Sweetheart Crush was #3 in a series, however, did not feel like I was lost in reading it without reading the first two books.

This was definitely one of the better romance books I have read in a while. Viv is back living in her small town while Logan a famous author returns home to work on his latest book. The two who were best friends as teenagers and lost touch after a misunderstanding now they need to know how to co-exist in a small town. Now both adults and after an argument in a Christmas shop these two continue on a path of finding themselves together again and facing the past. This story really had you feeling the small town vibe and wondering if they were going to choose each other or follow their career paths. Definitely enjoyed this story will need to go back and read the first two as well.

Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled for this ARC, release date October 23, 2023

The Sweetheart Crush by Miranda Liasson ARC Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I thought this book was absolutely adorable. The characters were very relatable, as was the story. I enjoyed reading about "real" problems and it was nice having a FMC not have her entire life together.

The writing flowed smoothly and even though I don't typically like reading books in the third person it was easy to get through. I enjoyed that it was duel POV and I was able to hear the inner thoughts of both main characters.

Overall, it was a very cute book. It had me crying, laughing, and cringing. Nothing better than a book that makes you feel. The only thing that killed me was the "fade to black" scenes!

This story is a stand-alone and as part of a general series of stories that are located in a small town, we get that close family ties vibe. This book brings not only past childhood besties back together, but makes their mother’s dreams come true too! I am not sure that is a plus if that was my life. LOL

With The Sweetheart Crush, Liasson pours so many emotions into the story from past hurts and heartbreak to a fresh new start. She highlights complexities from small-town jerks edging on bullying, to opening your heart and mind to possibilities.

I love these two main characters with their intrinsic connection to each other. Logan is beautifully depicted and truly cares for Viv. He is the star of this story!

The Sweetheart Crush is an easy-to-read, clean romance that brings a sweet, endearing, somewhat predictable story for those who love second-chance romance. Heartwarming and sweet, just like the title!

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers sweet small-town romance. We are back in Blossomglen and Viv Mongomery is back in her hometown after failing to make it big with her photography overseas in Paris. Then to rub salt in the wounds, the one boy who was her best friend and still holds her biggest regret, Logan Matthews is back in town and now a famous writer. Once she starts helping him with his social media campaign, the sparks fly and things turn heated. However Logan is keeping a secret that could ruin their newly formed bond.

I loved the banter and chemistry between Logan and Viv, I feel like the time apart helped them grow and that it wasn't a missed opportunity when they were younger, just wrong timing. Another wonderful addition to this series.

A lighthearted, small town read that is easy to read. Logan and Vivienne were best friends until she made a choice that tore them apart. When they meet years later, the spark between them is still there, but they still have issues to work out. The secondary characters are charming and add depth to the story. The side story of bullying is woven throughout the story and is what brings the characters together. A pleasant read overall.

I absolutely loved this book! So hard to put down. This is my 1st ever book from this Author. It will not be my last! Childhood best friends, reunited as adults. Can they overcome the past hurt /rejection to find love? Teenage bullying it really bad. I appreciate Miranda bringing the issue to the forefront. It really needs to be stopped.

The Sweetheart Crush is a sweet read. I loved this one. Viv and Logan lifelong friends as children turned almost strangers as adults. Viv is trying to make more of her life. She has passion and drive when it comes to her photography. Logan an author coming home to reconnect and work on his image some. I love how Viv steps in and helps Logan. There is the beautiful connection that awakens between Logan and Viv the more time they spend together. Walls crumble as hearts come alive again. This is one read you will not want to miss out on. Go meet Viv and Logan today.

The third in the series which I have read the previous two and enjoyed so very excited to read this one. Unfortunately it fell a little flat. Still good but the couple does not have the same chemistry. The story focuses on Viv and Logan, It’s a story about family, friends, finding one’s true purpose and recognizing that some thing’s simply are inevitable. Viv and Logan were besties since they were in diapers, but after that horrible day, both had some growing to do. I enjoyed the story but the chemistry in the characters seem a bit forced. Easy beach read though and I would still recommend.

Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is the second book of the series that I have read. I hate to say it but I enjoyed the prior one much better. This one seemed disconnected while I read it. I finished one paragraph and then I thought I had missed something when it jumped ahead in thoughts to follow the storyline. It was a cute read.
