This engaging billionaire romance has a delightful "You've Got Mail" vibe. Our female main character (FMC) and male main character (MMC) first cross paths on a flight, where she is chatty and outgoing while he is reserved and craving silence. Despite their differences and mutual irritation, they part ways believing they will never see each other again. However, fate has other plans.

The MMC is soon tasked with caring for his niece while her mother enters rehab, and he urgently needs a nanny. Simultaneously, the FMC is on her last chance with her nanny agency. When the agency pairs her with the MMC, he reluctantly agrees to take her back to Ireland to help care for his niece. Unbeknownst to them, they are also secretly corresponding online, not realizing that their cherished virtual friend is actually the person they are now living and working with.

As they navigate their new living arrangement and burgeoning attraction, they must decide whether to maintain a professional relationship or risk everything to explore their feelings for each other. Will they overcome their initial antagonism and discover a deeper connection, or will their differences keep them apart? This story is a captivating exploration of love, chance, and the surprising ways that our paths can cross.

Quick Summary: A working girl romance

My Review: The Bossy One by Leslie North is a contemporary, gen-fic romance. It features a grouch and his polar opposite.

About the Book: An Irish billionaire and a Minnesotan nanny are seatmates on a flight. They immediately rub each other the wrong way. Although they part with the assumption that they will never meet again, fate had them cross paths soon after their initial meeting. The funny thing about their relationship though...they had met before.

My Final Say: The Irishman certainly met his match with the straight talking American. It was interesting watching them find their footing with each other. They went from butting heads to something much deeper. As they worked to deal with their own personal issues, they grew toward one another. There was an element of sweetness to the overall story, even as it dealt with some serious issues.

Other: This was a story about family, loss, recovery, healing, reconciliation, and love. Readers who enjoy stories about the aforementioned should like this book.

On a flight across the ocean, two people are sitting together not knowing that they are going to meet later on down the road. The billionaire just wants a seat and is sitting next to chatty Kathy and it drives him crazy. When he gets home his niece and he look through the applications of the new nannies and the little girl picks one. When she arrives she has been told this is her last chance, for she has a habit of telling parents off because they don’t spend time with their children. Now when they meet it does not go well but she remains hired and then it goes back and forth from there until it doesn’t and she is let go. She has though made friends in the village and has also sold a book but she ends up back in Minnesota, and he ends up with an upset niece and mother, see what happens next. A good story.

I received a copy of this for my honest review.

This is a billionaire romance with a You've Got Mail Vibe. Our FMC and MMC meet in a flight, where she can't stop talking and he just wants silence. Luckily even though they don't get alone, they never have to see.each other again, right? Wrong. It turns out he needs a nanny for his niece while he watches her as her mom goes to rehab, and she is making a last chance as a nanny with her agency. She gets paired with him and he begrudgingly takes her with him back to Ireland. While all this is happening, they are secretly pinging each other under their social handles, not knowing the online friend they have had is no the person they are living with and lusting after. Can they keep it professional, or if they take the chance will they be able to get past their differences to work together?

This book was okay-meh for me. I liked the premise but it was longer than necessary and too messy. I enjoyed the first part, but then it started to feel immature, it dragged and the conflicts were unnecessary.

However, there was potential and I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Cute, cozy and hot... can it get any better? I don't think so. I would love to have a sequel with Seamus and Sinead story. Declan and Olivia had their ups and downs... but Seamus and Sinead have a such a cruel past and mending that must be hard. I would also want to know more about Olivia's future, specially after that ending. I would love to read more from you.

The story follows a Minnesota nanny and the gruff Irish billionaire, as they navigate an unexpected romance. The banter between characters is witty, contributing to the lighthearted tone. This is a satisfying read for those who enjoy a mix of romance and humour, with some spice.

Damn it is a sexy little number.... My love for Irish and their accent just got greater...
Love it and will definitely look at more books from the author...

Leslie is my go-to author for some cute, cozy and hot stories. And The Bossy One certainly fits the bill. Although, I must admit, this one felt like it was longer than Leslie's usual stories. But could be my imagionation. The Bossy One isn't one of three (for as far as I can see). I still have another trio of Leslie waiting for me.
But this grumpy Iris billionaire and his American nanny are funny and sweet. Cute little Catie is the icing on the cake, so if you're up for some sparks flying, you can take this one!
Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This was a great read! Just enough spice, just enough enough angst, and just enough emotion. Declan and Olivia were so good together!

Thank you to NetGalley, Leslie North, and the publisher for an advance review copy of The Bossy One. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The author Leslie North has a writing style that suvks you in from the first word and a plot that keeps you devouring her books to the very last page. I have no complaints about this book whatsoever

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This book reminded me a little of You've Got Mail. Olivia has been supplying Declan with book information for a while. Why they don't figure it out sooner is a mystery to me. Olivia was a bit over the top for me..expects perfection. I sort of started to not like her. Declan was your typical billionaire. Sort of dragged a bit for me. 3 stars

If you like a Nanny romance this book might be up your ally. Olivia is in between jobs when a new Nanny gig lands in her lap. Little does she know, however, she has met her new boss, Declan, before but in more ways than one. Declan is in need of a Nanny while he is charged with his niece’s care. While he is juggling work, a kiddo and the drama of a town he could definitely use the assistance. Soon Declan sees Olivia more than just his Nanny and flames ignite.

This is a contemporary romance with feels of enemies to lovers. I would rate this a 3 out of 5. I wished for more spice up front. I felt like the Chemistry took time to build but that was more of a personal preference. I was provided this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Meh. Too much drama. Either Declan's revenge or the blog thing would have been enough, but both were a little much and the push-pull of the relationship got old fast.. Sometimes it seemed like Catie was the only grown-up in the story.

This was cute and sweet and entertaining, although a bit predictable.
Still, I enjoyed the story, and our main characters had great banter and chemistry, so it was a win.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm going straight down the middle in terms of rating.

I actually almost gave up after the opening chapter because Olivia was not just the sunshine in this grumpy vs sunshine trope, but annoying, over the top sunshine. But I carried on and I generally enjoyed the read. It made me smile a few times, the chemistry was palpable and it was steamy.

I struggled with the length, the last 30-40% felt a bit repetitive to me, and my interest waned. I thought the Snug relationship should have come out way earlier, I don't know why they didn't question it before they did. It felt unnatural that they remained clueless so long.
It also felt so contradictory. Olivia had a massive hang up about people contacting her theiugh the blog but she spoke to Declan, but then was mad that she knew him in real life. It all just kept contradicting itself. It probably wasn't needed at all as a plot.

But as a whole I liked the book and would read another by the author.

I loved every minute of this enemies to lovers story! The characters were great, the banter was entertaining, and the ending was perfect. Declan and Olivia are one of my favorite couples.
