Bought this one since I can no longer read digital anymore due to severe issues with my eyes since having covid.
5 friends who are uniquely connected due to the fact they are being stalked. But when one friend is murdered the others start fearing for their lives.
A clever, twisty novel which has you on the edge of your seat guessing what is happening.
We begging the story meeting Natalie who is being stalked by her ex. Her supportive online friends are there for her, joined together by their own stalker stories. A support group if you will.
Natalie sadly meets her untimely end early in the book and the other four unite in grief and fear when a message appears that one of them will die in 10 days time.
The book takes us through the next ten days covering all the characters and their stalker stories.
I found the book a little difficult to follow at times and sadly I spotted half the twist before it happened.
I devoured this book. Full of twists and turns. A very serious subject matter handled skilfully. The author tells us at the very end (this is not a spoiler) that she has been stalked herself, so she writes with experience of her subject matter.
3.5
This book was enjoyable overall. I liked the concept of the victims of stalkers uniting to get justice. The story was full of twists and turns throughout, some of them were predictable however the ending was a complete surprise. I would definetely recomend if you enjoy a suspense thriller.
A group of people who have one thing in common.. Stalking. Have a WhatsApp group where they can support each other. When one of them is murdered after their stalker was released from prison and a death threat sent to one of them, but they don't know who it is for, they try to figure out who is next and to put a stop to what they are going through.
There are lots of twists and turns throughout, a good read.
I had this book as an audiobook. This was an easy listen, I liked the narrator, its a modern day story about people being stalked and the fear they feel. The characters come together to support each other through difficulties of not knowing if someone who is obsessed with you is going to kill you! I found it a teeny bit drawn out but the beginning and the end made up for it.
Every Move You Make is an intense and chilling thriller which delves deeply into the terrifying world of stalking. The book follows a WhatsApp group of five victims of stalking as they try to remain safe, support each other and live a normal life. All is well until one member dies and a wreath with a harrowing message turns up at her funeral. What follows is a 10 day countdown, full of fear, anguish and mistrust.
There is a lot going on in this book with 4 main characters, each with their own sub plot, so as you can imagine there is an abundance of twists, turns and red herrings which will keep you on your toes. The pacing is quick and propulsive and it is such an easy one to be consumed by and binge on. The characters are well developed and it’s far too easy to see yourself in their place and feel the fear.
While I enjoyed the chaotic nature I personally would have loved if Taylor concentrated maybe on fewer characters and delved deeper into the psychological aspect of both the stalker and the victim. In her author’s note she details her own unfortunate experience with stalking and I felt the book would have definitely rated higher for me if she tapped into that a little more and delved more into the more realistic effects and damages rather than the frenzy of characters.
Overall a really gripping and nerve wracking thriller which I enjoyed, but wanted just a little more from.

I really liked the sound of the book and the concept was clever. But this just seemed to drag for me, and I couldn't understand why people who had been stalked would continue to be so invested in their trauma. I didn't like River's character, and found him irritating.
It wasn't for me sadly.
This was a good enjoyable psychological thriller, there is plenty of suspense throughout to keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters were great, the ending was unexpected and the style of writing was perfect.
I have read loads of this authors books and I have loved them all. I would highly recommend this book and its author to anyone that likes reading this genre.
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review.
Thanks for NetGalley and C.L. Taylor for offering this ARC in exchange my review.
This book is a masterclass in suspense, weaving together complex characters, tense situations, and a storyline that twists and turns like an unbound rollercoaster. I can confidently say that it kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last. This book is so compelling. It offers a mixture of pulse-pounding suspense and psychological depth. If you're looking for a gripping read that will make you question every character's motives and leave your heart racing, I highly recommend diving into this book.
What an incredible fast paced book. I read this in 2 sittings and found it such an intense read that it got my heart racing! A fantastic thriller.
Thank you Avon Books and Netgalley
I'm a huge fan of C L Taylor and this book was no exception.
Full of twists and turns and you don't always see them coming.
You must read this.
I think that the only part of the book I was interested in was the ending.
I just feel as if the book dragged on for ages and could’ve easily been 100 pages shorter it just dragged on for ages.
I liked the idea of the plot- to get rid of a stalker you need to become one. I thought it was quite unique!
I also liked the idea of the friendship group supporting one another, however, I found myself in wanting to skip River’s POV chapters as I just didn’t like his character at all. He was so whiny and annoying.
However, I did enjoy the ending - especially what Bridget did for Lucy , it tied up the story nicely together.
Definitely expect some twists at the end!
C.L. Taylor can always be relied upon for a thrilling domestic noir yarn, but I found myself struggling with this novel. Derived from unfortunate personal experience encountered by the author, this novel presents four individuals who meet thanks to an online support group for stalking victims. They are all threatened at the funeral of a former group member who has been murdered, and they resort to desperate measures to keep themselves safe. My issues were with the enormous amount of background information to remember about each of the four characters as well as their family members, colleagues and acquaintances, and with the insertion of the fictitious WhatsApp messages that somehow do not read quite right. Trying to bring all this together meant that I did not appreciate the various cliffhangers and eventual denouement as I would have otherwise. On balance, a good thriller but not necessarily one I would re-read. I would like to thank the publishers and NetGalley for making the ARC available to me in exchange for this honest feedback.
Great thriller crime book , suspence and paced well. Great writing style and I couldn't work out the twist which I love
I was hooked instantly, and loved how fast paced and gripping this book was. I felt on edge throughout. The conclusion was also very satisfying, and I felt was written very well.
Well, apart from the obvious ear worm in the title, this one was a goody! A group of domestic abuse survivors set out to hep solve the death of another victim. Her violent ex has recently been released from prison. AS always, twists and turns around the main characters and the guilty hiding in unexpected places.
Thank you to @netgalley and Avon Books for allowing me to read this ARC.
I've read some of C L Taylors books already so had high hopes for this and it didn't disappoint. It was everything a good thriller needed and honestly I was hooked.
I loved the storyline. Each chapter left me wanting more and to know what was going to happen. I felt drawn to each characters story for different reasons and loved how they all linked from being strangers supporting each other online through their own trauma to meeting in real life to save each other.
As the story progressed, I did have my suspicions about that one character, however I couldn't of guessed how it would actually turn and the twists were brilliant! Especially the ending! A mixture of emotions and it was so well written!
I love my thrillers and this was an easy five star read! 😍
Thrilling book as always, what an experience to be acquainted with the characters (good & bad) created by the author. All so relatable and I read it in a couple of days thank you!
