Despite I keep being the same crappy ""artist"", this book was easy to read and follow to gain more confidence while drawing.
A great introduction for those who want to learn to draw people's faces. Simple instructions written in a fun way to allow you to personalize any face you would like.
This was very fun and informative. I really enjoyed this and it has helped with my drawing practice. My doodles have gotten much better!
This book is beautiful! And unique! A book of drawing lessons that are presented as manga / graphic novel? I hadn’t seen one like that before. So, I say that’s truly unique! It’s like two books in one, first, it is an entertaining read because of the graphic novel format, and second, you end up learning how to draw something.
It will be a great addition to every young aspiring artist’s collection, there are easy step-by-step tutorials to create your own manga drawings. There are suggestions and ideas on how to make it unique, on how to add your own twists and personality to what you draw.

Learn to draw Manga Faces by Yuyu kouhara
Thank you #netgalley and #thequartogroup for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I know this book is aimed at kids but I learned a lot. And clearly I have a long way to go! As someone who has never made serious attempts to learn how to draw before 2023, it was really good to see all the basics laid out in a step by step. I really enjoyed learning to draw manga Faces and I'm hoping to blend what I've learnt into my work going forward - I especially want to try some comic pieces. I'm telling begginning to understand that the only thing that separates me from the artist I was to be is practice, practice, practice..
ARC
this one was helpfull and easy to understand!
Thanks to Netgalley and Yuyu Kouhara for giving me this ARC!
Learn to Draw Manga Faces for Kids is a cute illustrative book that teaches children how to draw in the manga and anime style. The book is formatted in a comic book style with characters interacting directly with the reader to teach them the basics of manga illustration. As an artist myself, I found the illustrations to be charming and easy to understand, with the book providing multiple examples of the principles it tries to teach. A great guide to anyone with a child who's eager to learn to draw in this style!
So this drawing tutorial is geared toward youth but as an adult I found it engaging and easy to follow in a way that I could almost perfectly replicate what was being taught.
This is a series of drawing tutorials and this one focuses on drawing manga faces. You’ll learn how to draw eyes and a variety of facial expressions. The tutorials give you just enough information to get the basics of a face done so you can customize it.
ARC provided by publisher and NetGalley.
