I was able to listen to the audiobook thanks to NetGalley. I really loved this. It was a very fun listen. It kept me company while I was traveling.
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
[3.5/5] I was not paying attention to how much I had left and this ending absolutely snuck up on me and left me jaw hanging and craving more! Vanessa Edwin does a fantastic job narrating Olivia’s character and a majority of the chapters are told from her perspective. There are plenty of steamy scenes that turn up the heat and show that clearly these two clicked here, but I haven’t seen much development of the emotional side of their relationship yet. Sawyer and Olivia were a really fun forbidden pairing and I loved to see Sawyer building her up, but the relationship with her parents drew the focus away from them for me at some points
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Select, and Piper Lawson for the gifted advanced listening copy!
This was a good forbidden trope spicy romance. In this one, the Professor finds himself trying to avoid a student that he met before he knew she was HIS student. These two Characters navigate everything from childhood trauma to former relationship damage. Their romance was inevitable. Sometimes we find just what we need on this journey called life.
Thank you Piper Lawson, Dreamscape, and NetGalley for this advanced listening copy in exchange for my honest review!
This audiobook hooked me in immediately. The narration was great and I really enjoyed the pacing. The cliffhanger had my jaw on the ground. I'm interested to see where the rest of the series leads and can't wait to read the next book! If you're looking for a fast paced, age gap romance with spice you should check out Crave!
Crave is my first Piper Lawson book and it won't be my last... especially with the cliffhanger ending! I will be back for more. I love romance where the FMC is in STEM! Absolutely here for it.
Crave is a steamy, forbidden student/teacher (age gap) romance with an interesting plot. Can't wait to see where it goes! Highly recommend reading or listening - the narration was fantastic.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this ALC!
I loved this book, and the narrators did a fantastic job at bringing this story to life. Olivia is an engineering college student who is trying to stay the perfect child for her parents but is slowly starting to realize that the life her parents planned for her isn’t what she wants as well. Sawyer is the grumpy new teacher who just moved back into town. Their relationship is an angsty forbidden romance with all the sexual tension we love! I love how Sawyer helps Olivia realize how special she is and what she truly deserves.
This book had a sweet love story, the spice we want, women in STEM, and fantastic character building.
Thank you to netgalley for the ALC in exchange for review.
This is a steamy college professor/student romance. I really enjoyed the narrators but overall had a difficult time getting into the story. It came across very corny and there’s also a cliffhanger for those wanting to read. If you love this trope this book might be for you but overall not my favorite.
I'm going to start out by saying this ends on a cliffhanger and it felt like it was in the middle of the book. So to get the rest of the story you have to read the 2nd (which I haven't been able to get to yet) This has a forbid age gap student teacher relationship. It was enjoyable I just wish it didn't end where it did and would of had the characters flushed out more. But hopefully we get more in the 2nd book.
Thank you to NetGalley for this audio arc in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGalley and publishers for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.
Well, this is an age-gap, steamy romance between a college student and her professor, who has a secret past. It's interesting, but honestly I couldn't really connect to any of the characters. The book ends in a massive cliff-hanger and still I'm not curious enough to pick up the next installment and see how it unravels. 2 stars.
Like my grandma always says, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else…or was that a college friend? Anyways…This book is the definition of that, and what better person than you and your ex’s professor? This was such a steamy, forbidden romance, but I loved every second of it! Be warned: cliffhanger ahead!
I forgot this was a trilogy when I started the audiobook. I did enjoy it as it is. Crave is an age-gap romance between a professor and a student. It does end on a cliffhanger (obviously). Sawyer and Olivia have lots of chemistry. Their journey to figure themselves out in this book is at a good start. Olivia does have an ex-boyfriend that makes multiple appearances. He's honestly grown on me too.
Sawyer and Olivia have a lot to navigate through still. Her parents want her to marry her ex-Adam because it would put them in a better place financially and socially. Sawyer has skeletons in his closet that we still haven't 100% discovered.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of a book I wouldn't normally read.
Crave is a forbidden romance novel, which is a genre that can work (Romeo and Juliet comes up mind), but in this case, the pieces just don't really work together. The main character is interesting and shows depth (rich girl who grew up dancing ballet discovers a love of engineering in college), but that only highlights how one dimensional most of the other characters are. The parents are effete socialites, the protagonist's ex is boring, her female friends each fills a specific niche and, I cannot emphasize this enough, the love interest is a predator.
♥️ What’s it about?
Our FMC Olivia is in a college engineering program. And she’s doing everything her wealthy mom and dad want her to in order to be there: namely pursing her Mrs. Degree with another wealthy student in the program. But her boyfriend is a cheater, and when she catches him out in public, she throws caution to the wind and enters the bar’s amateur night dance off—and wins. While she’s at it, she captures the attention of one very hot gentleman at the bar.
Said gentleman, our MMC Sawyer, ends up standing by her side as she watches the cheating boyfriend exit for the evening. They share phone numbers and sultry kisses.
It seems to be going well until she walks into class the next day and said sexy gentleman is her professor (enter my squeals of delight). And that, my friends, is when the trouble starts.
♥️ My thoughts:
Loved it. So much. These books could so easily be consumed by their trope, but Crave is so much bigger than that. Namely: the struggle of women pursuing engineering degrees and being perceived as using their sexuality to climb the ladder.
And those elements are so strong in this book.
And then throw in college drama, gossip, extremely sad and complicated family dynamics, and a forbidden romance. Woof. I couldn’t put it down.
And the spice. 😮💨
😅 Be warned that the cliffhanger on this one is jaw-dropping. But I discovered the rest of the series is available on Hoopla through my library (which I, of course, borrowed immediately).
🎧 The narration is excellent in this one. Both narrators nailed their parts.
I really ejoyed the two narrators of this story they were excellent. It was my first Piper Lawson and it wouldn't be my last. Who doesnot love a forbidden romance and this one didn't disappoint will definitely be continuing with the series.

Sometimes all you need is a steamy book
Love all the tensions and spice. But the novel was too short, could have used a tiny bit more depth. Also, I wish the novel didn't end out of nowhere.
Overall, if you like steamy books. This is for you.
*** Thank you to NetGalley, Piper Lawson, and Dreamscape Media for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***
I am finding that I really enjoy a steamy, forbidden, age-gap romance. It’s the push and pull – will they or won’t they element that keeps me on the edge of my seat. Crave immediately pulled me in and didn’t let go. Vanessa Edwin narrates most of this story, and portrays Olivia perfectly in a balance of strength and intelligence, but with youthful naivete. Connor Crais only has a few chapters but I’m hoping for more in the next two months. While it is most definitely a new adult story, Olivia is a compelling character. She is stuck between being who her family expects her to be and who she wants to be. Sawyer on the other hand is mostly an enigma with a dark past and this story ends on a major cliffhanger dealing with that. I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the story.
Olivia is out for a night with the girls where she sees her soon to be ex cheating. On her way out the door, she meets a man who helps her hide as her ex is leaving as well. They share an explosive kiss. The next day, she learns that her favorite professor has been replaced with none other than the man from the parking lot. Sawyer is in town after losing it all. He plans to teach for a year, keep a low profile, and then make a new start. Neither can afford a relationship that could ruin both their futures, but staying away from each other is impossible.
This story delivers everything it promises. It’s steamy and forbidden which drives the story along as the characters fight the pull and slowly reveal pieces of themselves. As Olivia and her team work on their competition project, things really heat up. I personally loved the fact that she is a competent engineer. After that cliffhanger leaves the story in unexpected places, I can't wait to see where this story takes me and these two characters.
Update: Audio version 9-2023 I enjoyed the audio version it was narrated mostly by Vanessa. Connor is a newer narrator for me and would have enjoyed hearing him more. It did give the story more of an impact.
I received this audio version via Netgalley and my review is voluntary.
Sawyer is a Professor and Olivia is a student when they first met, neither knew. They try to navigate through their attraction and desire for each other through this forbidden relationship. They enjoy each other's company but Sawyer has not told her the real reason he left his company. Wow on the cliffhanger ending what a bombshell. I can't wait to see what happens in the next part.
Excuse me while I RUN to go read book 2 right now! I loved this one. The student/professor vibes were everything and the angst was *chef's kiss*. The narration was great and kept me engaged the entire story. 4.5 stars rounded up!
This book just missed the mark with me. I gave it a low 3 stars. There was something about each character that didn't vibe with me, but i cant put my finger on it. THe sex was just....weird. THe subplot was boring.
