I am so sorry, but five chapters in and I couldn't deal with the wattapad style writing. The characters seem so immature, even for nearly 23 year old Nick. I had to dnf it to save my time.
Thanks netgalley and author for a chance to delve into this world again though.
Nick and Noah’s romance is red hot fire. Incredibly intense. As we follow their budding romance, this novel does a marvelous job of navigating the hard parts we never think about. Those past experiences that form us into what we are now, life in university, as well as the differences in age that we encounter as we get older.
This novel may have been a little too YA for me but the author excelled with invoking emotions here. Their struggles are realistic and easily felt by the reader. The inner demons they dealt with and overcoming fears only reinforce this.
This novel not only kept me on the very edge of my seat, but the ending had me shook. But, I think it’s exactly what the characters here needed.
Thank you to Bloom Books and Mercedes Ron for the eARC!
After reading the first novel, I was very excited to receive the ARC of the second installment. The story revolves around Noah and Nick, a passionate couple whose love is as intense as fire and electricity. As they navigate the challenges of a budding relationship, the narrative delves into the complexities of age differences, university life, and the haunting shadows of past experiences.
The author skillfully crafts a narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats, seamlessly blending elements of romance, coming-of-age, and self-discovery. The characters are intricately woven, each carrying their own baggage of inner demons and unresolved issues. The portrayal of the challenges faced by Noah and Nick in the midst of university life, dangerous parties, and the ever-present specter of the unknown adds a layer of realism to the story.
One of the strengths of "Your Fault" lies in its ability to evoke a range of emotions. The passion between Noah and Nick is palpable, and the struggles they face are relatable, making it easy for readers to empathize with the characters. The exploration of trust, overcoming fears, and the constant battle with one's inner demons adds depth to the storyline.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I enjoyed the drama in this book, but I feel like they kept having the same argument over and over again. I for sure will be reading the next book though and I hope the characters grow up a little after the time jump!
really struggled to get through this book but once i hit the 60% mark, that’s when things started to get crazy and i was hooked. this series might be a little YA for my taste but still enjoyable. can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
thank you to NetGalley and BloomBooks for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley.
What the hell!??? I'm like okay they are gonna live happily ever after but no. We can't have that now can we? I feel like the last one is just gonna close any storylines that haven't concluded at this point.
Noah and Nick will forever have me in a chokehold. The twists and turns that we were hit with truly had my heart in pain. I really mourned with Noah as she continued in her downward spiral, and felt the jealousy reaching out of the pages. So so well done!
I will say that this book seemed to fall more in the adult than YA category.

Anticipating Your Fault after adoring My Fault, I found this sequel a tad lackluster. The storyline seemed elusive, and character growth was minimal. It felt like the tale only gained momentum around 80%, leaving me yearning for more engagement earlier. Perhaps it's setting the stage for the series finale. While the relationship's sluggish pace left me occasionally frustrated and bored, I'm optimistic that Our Fault will offer a satisfying conclusion to the series.
I was super hopeful about this book because I loved the first one, but I honestly came away disappointed.
Word that sums up the book: stupid
The story itself seems to unfold too slowly... unlike the first book, in this one it seems that they are both good and bad with each other but it doesn't develop.
“You’re the most beautiful thing that’s ever happened to me, Freckles, so don’t ever worry about thanking me.”
I love Nick and Noah but in this book they managed to have arguments and both be stupid, but at the same time be cute and romantic.
Nick was too protective in this book and Noah was too childish.
Before both of them can love each other, they will have to learn to love themselves!! Mainly because in almost all of Noah's chapters, she says that she feels guilty FOR EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS.
And after this ending I can't fucking defend ANY of them. They love each other but because of the lack of communication between them, they decide to take revenge for things that DIDN'T EVEN HAPPEN.
I swear I read it completely irritated.
Only perfect character: Madison. She's mega cute and I love her relationship with Nick.
“You and I are poetry, my love.”
Honestly the racing is my favorite part and I initially started reading this trilogy just because of that. Noah and Nick driving >>>
Regarding the plot, it was super slow and full of drama (mostly stupid things) and then in the last chapters there was an explosion of drama and bad things that left me staring into space for 10 minutes.
For me it wasn't the sequel I was waiting for, but it might work better for you. Bearing in mind that I HATE the trope inserted at the end…
Okay so, I wanted to read this book since I watched the first part of the movie but the writing was medicore and everything kept being repeated. Noah was immature and annoying and Nick was toxic and had serious issues lol. Hope the series is not as bad (whenever the second part comes out).
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review
This was such an anticipated read for me and the writing was very seamless as we move into a new phase of like for Noah and Nick. The story picks up about a year since the events ended after the first novel and the pair are progessing into bigger stages of their relationship while Noah navigates the challanges of gratuating high school and attending college. There is a lot of contention from their parents, especially noah's mother who really disapproves of Noah's choices in regards to Nick and there are many decicions Nick makes that, though he feels are innocent and unimportant, afffect his relationship. The pair are facing new relationship challenges, people coming between them intentionally and unintentionally, and a lot of issues because they do not commuicate. The ending, I would typically say, would have been devestating, but I think it was kind of the push they needed to figure out what each of them needed as individuals before they could function as a unit.
I was utterly absorbed in the forbidden romance between Noah and Nick since book one. This is the second book in the Culpable trilogy, where it skillfully unfolds their love story amidst the challenges of university life, age differences, and unresolved pasts. The fast-paced narrative, steamy romance, and suspenseful exploration of love and secrets made this a captivating read. Ron adeptly navigates drama and suspense, delivering a compelling sequel that lives up to the high expectations set by its predecessor. As someone who enjoyed the first book, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming Spanish film adaptation.
Your Fault is a book full of challenges, particularly relationship challenges for Nick and Noah. Set about a year later after the end of the first book, Your Fault picks up as Noah is about to graduate high school. While everything seems to be ok in Noah’s life, things aren’t always as they appear. Noah still is having nightmares on the nights that she doesn’t stay with Nick.
Aside from her nightmares plaguing her, Nick wanting to move faster with their relationship, also has her stressed about her future plans. Secrets between the two of them eventually become a huge theme through this story along with a lot of fighting. I am a big fan of Nick and Noah’s relationship and while I enjoyed the book, there is a lot of toxicity to their relationship in this book. If you have any triggers towards toxic relationships then this book might not be the book for you. If you, like myself, enjoy the drama then sit back for the rollercoaster that is Nick and Noah.
While I preferred the first book more, I did enjoy this book and I’m now anxiously awaiting for when I can read the next book. I need to know what is going to happen to Nick after that ending. The release date for Our Fault needs to get here soon so I can finally finish this series. I’d like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review of the book.
Your Fault is #2 in a series, and I did not read the first. There was enough context throughout the book that I could grasp pieces and get caught up, yet might have been better had I read the other first.
The writing in this was smooth and made it easy to turn the pages quickly, but there are a lot of triggers in here.
Honestly I felt that most of the relationships were very toxic, and gave me a little PTSD. I was really hoping that Nick would see the error of his ways and lighten up on Noah, but his controlling behavior just seemed to get worse and worse.
The ended felt unfinished. I assume there is a third book?
Ultimately not my favorite book and one that I would be cautious to recommend to others.
Thank you to NetGalley for this early release in return for my honest opinion.

My Fault by Mercedes Ron is the second book in the Culpable Series. This is the continuation of Noah and Nick’s story.
After absolutely loving the first book and the movie, I highly anticipated this sequel, but unfortunately it suffered from the second book syndrome, and I was a bit disappointed by it.
In this book Noah is turning 18 and that is obviously a turning point for her, and a lot changes. At the same time, Noah was still a bit immature and at some point, she just started to annoy me, and she overlooked way too much regarding Nick.
Nick is an even bigger ass in this book, and I thought that wasn’t possible. It almost seems like Noah can’t do anything right in his opinion and he even throws a tantrum when Noah wants to go on a trip with her mum. That was beyond unnecessary, and I severely disliked him in this book.
My Fault is held together by over-the-top drama and secrets and while that was entertaining, I at least expected that Noah and Nick’s relationship matured and progressed more. In this book they are just toxic and I really hope the next book will be better again.
Overall, if you also want to know what happens with Noah and Nick, I recommend checking out this sequel. But if you didn’t like the first book, you also won’t like this installment. 3,5 stars.

Amazing! This was by far one of my most anticipated reads of this year and I loved every bit of it. Noah and Nick give me major Hardin and Tessa from the After series vibes. The drama, suspense, romance was all just absolutely top notch perfect! It’s also fairly steamy for being a YA novel.
This was not for me. I should have looked into the trigger warnings before hand.
I DNF at 15%
Thank you Netgalley for a chance to read this.
“Your Fault” by Mercedes Ron is about Noah and Nick. It is book 2 in the Culpable series. After they fall in love, they struggle to find the balance in their relationship. They struggle with school, work, moving, age, parties, history, and learning more about each other.
It is a good book for people who like Colleen Hoover books and contemporary young adult to new adult life experiences. It does have a forbidden relationship aspect to their relationship as step siblings. I thought it was good but a bit boring sometimes. I did like the characters. I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars.
