Ughhhh Theo Silva was so swoon worthy this whole book even when he messed up,because knew immediately he did so. Also the way he loved his mom, Winter, and Vivi just class! Glad to see more to Winter this book and she really is a remarkable woman!! Normally surprise kid isn't my jam but this one I'll read all day and I did!

God I hate accidental pregnancy tropes. It was moving so fast anyway and then BAM! Pregnant! Just not my cup of tea I fear.

I’ve been hearing the name “Theo Silva” on bookish social media for so long. I was excited to dive into this book and see what all the fuss was about. Yes, Theo is great. Unfortunately, the unplanned pregnancy trope is not for me. I’m not saying it wasn’t written well, but it’s a trope I don’t enjoy. But I’ll be kind with my rating because I know that’s a me problem.

Winter's book! I've been waiting to read this book ever since I read about her in Flawless - I wanted her redemption arc, and I wanted to see her get a hea, coz she went through almost the same traumatic past as Summer in Flawless.
And this book DELIVERED.

Theo and Winter were a delight to read, their banter was so engaging, and every scene with their kid was so frickin cute. I also loved seeing their individual character growths, this book was perfect 🥲

Also! This book finally shows Winter and Summer sister bonding (the sister in me is crying happy tears), AND them both taking the steps to get justice wrt what a certain ex did to them (Flawless has the whole sad story 💔). It was wholesome af.

Loveddd this book probably my favorite one so far in the series. THEO FREAKING SILVA ugh what a guy🩷 honestly him and Winter are perfect for each other and there relationship was written out beautifully in this book. This book has:
- dual provs
- grumpy/ sunshine
- pregnancy trope
I know people can get weird about pregnancies in books but I loved it. Winter has a lot of family issues and feel isolated a lot and I really resonated with her story and though Elsie did a great job of explaining it. Highly recommend this book.

The 4th book in the Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver features smoking hot bull rider Theo Silva and whip-smart badass doctor, Winter Hamilton. I normally am not a fan of secret baby romance, but this one worked for me on so many levels. I loved the way Silver brought in characters from the previous 3 books, as well alluded a bit to the start of the 5th and final book in the series. This one has so many heartwarming moments and all the spice as well.

Yee Haw, this definitely put me back to my cowboy romance era. Full disclaimer, I have been reading this series out of order, but it doesn't matter, I love it so much.

Winter being frigid is so ironic, but I loved her past story. I have yet to read Summer's book, but I'm sure it is just as great

The miscommunication that happens early in this book threw me, and I'm glad it got cleared up quickly. I think some people would have really dug in and held on, making it more unrealistic or annoying. It was a nice balance, which I think is hard to find in this trope.

Chestnut Springs has my heart and I cannot wait to continue the adventure with this town, and the intertwining stories that come out. If you are a cowboy romance reader, or think you might be, this is for you.

Thanks @netgalley for this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Thank you NetGalley, Elsie Silver, and Source Bloom Books for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review!

I LOVE the whole Chestnut Springs series - and could not get enough of Theo and Winter's story!!!!!

Winter's redemption ARC was everything I needed it to be. I DEVOURED this one, and was so sad it ended. I love that Winter went from the villain of the story, to a woman we desperately wanted to find her found family moment.

While the story takes place in our beloved Chestnut Springs, Winter and Theo find themselves as next door neighbors. When their past and present collides... these two find themselves in a unique situation of finding themselves, falling in love, and learning to let go and move on from the past. It was an extremely wholesome read, that will find readers everywhere wishing for their own cowboys. IYKYK.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Did I ignore my family so I could finish this book in one day? Why yes I did! And I’m not ashamed! This book was incredible!!!

Winter is a doctor who is in the middle of a divorce, and is also trying to rebuild her relationship with her sister. Theo is a professional bull rider on his way to winning major titles, and a notorious ladies man. He doesn’t need a distraction. When Winter & Theo meet, they have undeniable chemistry.

I am one of the rare ones that loves the unexpected pregnancy trope. So I was here for it! Winter was written as such a strong character and you couldn’t help but fall in love with her and Theo.

There has never been an Elsie Silver book that I haven’t loved! Her books are so magical and I’m always upset when I’m finished reading them. I will forever be in love with her books, but this series especially!

Winter leave her husband after getting tired of his cheating ways especially because her husband was the one that was grooming her younger sister and having an affair with her.
She goes to Summer her sister and amend her relationship with her on the way she meet Theo. their one night stand results in a pregnancy followed by some serious miscommunication, Theo has his work cut out for him.
Their love is touching, powerful, and just so darn sweet.
Their chemistry is so fun full of banter and teasing but also really thoughtful. I just love the way THeo loves Winter how perfectly he knows what she needs to hear, how easily he knows her and calm her. Theo needed believes in himself and supports him.

I had not read any previous books by this author, but I really enjoyed this beautiful love story with such engaging characters. Dr. Winter Hamilton has finally had enough from her husband, Rob, and is moving on with her life. Her family history has been an issue and she hopes to reconnect with her half-sister Summer, if not with her parents. Meeting Theo Silva, a famous bull rider, was not in her plans nor was the hot night they spent together. He is away on the rodeo circuit when she gets some surprising, but not unwanted news. Knowing that she must contact him, ends up as just one more thing that goes wrong in her life. Now it is just her and nine-month-old Vivi and love like she has never known. What will happen when Theo returns to town? Scorching hot romance and characters who must work through painful pasts to move forward. I love finding a new author (to me) and this was a truly wonderful read! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Reckless by Elsie Silver was beautiful and poignant and heartbreaking all at the same time. I'm not sure I've ever read a book that was quite as realistic as Reckless while also managing to create a "book boyfriend" that will be hard to beat.

I've never live-reacted a book before this one, but I desperately needed people to talk to and I'm lucky to be part of a book club where they get the ups and downs of my emotions because Reckless isn't just a romance about a one-night-stand-turned-more, and you WILL need people to talk to when you read it!

It's Winter's redemption arc. Elsie paints a perfect photo of what it's like to live your life crushed by those around you until you finally snap, and how difficult it is to put yourself back together.

It's Theo's coming-of-age story. That poor man suffered loss and disappointment with a smile on his face until he was faced with what happened after his night with Winter. I didn't know heartbreak could be felt through the page, but I was weeping for that man - after threatening bodily harm upon him just pages earlier - and everything he missed.

It's a look into motherhood and how society and other mothers try to tell you what a Real Mom is. Every thought Winter had raising that baby had me clutching my chest and nodding adamantly. I was a single mom for almost 8 years, and Elsie captured the struggle to perfection.

It's about healing and finding someone who loves you for your thorns not just your pretty petals.

I bow down to the greatness that is Elsie Silver's writing! Reckless kept me up all night when I should have been studying for a final and I'm not mad about it. If I could give it a million stars, that still wouldn't be enough!

Thank you, NetGalley and Bloom, for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s not often that I’m introduced to a new author and absolutely fall in love with their writing. Reckless by Elsie Silver was a beautiful story that made me fall hard for Elsie’s writing style and characters. This beautiful story about second chances in life, family redemption, and new love was a breath of fresh air while also giving the reader the familiar romance tropes we love.

We meet Winter as she is in the middle of a divorce from her vile husband and trying to mend the broken relationship with her sister. While visiting her sister she meets Theo Silva, the younger, rugged, and sexy bull rider she’s attracted to. After she follows him back to their hotel, they have a few drinks and one night of passion. It was supposed to be just on night, but that night left them both with a permanent souvenir. This is just the beginning of their love story.

What I love about Winter is that she’s honest about her flaws and mistakes and that she is the one in the wrong with her sister. We see her grow so much as a person and learn to trust the good things happening in her life. Reckless showed how we can let go of our past, find forgiveness, and have a beautiful future. I absolutely loved Theo and his assertiveness. He is the perfect book boyfriend! I highly recommend this story and I will be reading more from Elsie Silver in the future.

Another Elsie favorite!!! I now understand what people were saying with the Theo.fing.Silva comments. And let's just say they weren't wrong. 🥵😍🥵😍🥵

At first, I was curious about this one. The glimpses of Winter we had gotten in previous books I didn't love, and while I'm fine with the accidental pregnancy trope, I can't hop on board with the secret baby. But then. Then, Theo thawed the ice queen and melted all of our hearts in the process and this book was soooo sooo good!!!

Their gas station and drive to the ranch meet cute was something else, and of course you have to wonder how does one get from that, to, well, Vivi! After 'his' initial reaction to her being pregnant, my heart dropped into my stomach. I could imagine everyone was reading the same book and loved Theo. But when he returns, unsuspectingly right next door to Winter, I was so excited to see how he would fix that reaction. Until we see he really didn't know and my heart broke for him, for them. And I loved every minute of watching Theo work to put back the pieces, not just for each of then indivually but for the the three of them as a family. He pursued without being pushy, she learned to lean on him and start trusting again. With both his mom and Harvey in their corners (Also the part where Harvey spilled the beans on accident 🤣) plus their friends turned family, they were able to fight for each other through the course of the book in a way that was just perfect for them and their situation and I wouldn't have it any other way!

This book had everything you could want in an Elsie book - the best friends, a hilarious text thread, Harvey comments, Theo, steamy moments, and one heck of a romance. I can't wait for the next one!

We have reached the moment of my Chestnut Springs re-read that I have been waiting for! I was so excited to revisit the instalment that was my favourite the first time through. Of course, it remains so on my second, in which I just let myself read this in one sitting on Sunday morning and it is just so damn perfect.

Check out my more detailed thoughts below…
Characters: How on earth can I even put into words how much I love Winter and Theo? Winter, was a character I remember being so excited to see have her own story. Throughout my re-read, I have been looking forward to being in her mind again. She is one of my favourite characters in this series, how she went from somewhat of a villain, to this girl in need of this found family. I am so glad she found it with Theo! He is definitely the most gentlemanly guy in Chestnut Springs. It is hard not to fall in love with him and how he loves his daughter and Winter with his whole heart.
Setting: This story primarily takes place on the same road in Chestnut Springs, where Theo and Winter have conveniently ended up as next-door neighbours. Don’t worry there are still some key scenes at the Wishing Well, including my favourite Eaton family dinner with a “my wife” reference!
Pacing: I remember flying through the book on my first time through, my second I re-read it on a Sunday morning in one sitting. I woke up, grabbed the book and just read for a few glorious hours. That is how easy this book, these characters, and this relationship is to escape into.
Romance: Winter and Theo are the best Chestnut Springs couple! Elsie convinced me to love a trope that is often so hard to execute. From the early chapters, their chemistry is obvious and once they have a child it all but intensifies. The love feels so epic in this one. The spice and the steam are really great too, from the scene in the gym to the scene at the wedding, I just ate it all up. I cannot speak enough about how much I love this book, and how it is not just my favourite book in the series but one of my favourites I have read this year.
