Finders Keepers is the third book of The Millionaires Club Club Book Series. I have not read the other books and this is my first book by this author. The story starts with a prologue and then begins with Olivia renovating a house that she has inherited from an aunt. The onsite workers find a secret portion of the house and call her so that she can investigate. She finds stacks of old, wet money. Although the source of the money in Olivia's inherited house is discussed during the prologue, Olivia and Sloan (her love interest) never discover this information. I would have liked to see a tie between the information in the prologue and the actual story. The entire ordeal with the money was over rather quickly and I felt like the information given in the prologue wasn't needed in order to advance the story (the way that it was written). The only purpose of the money was to introduce the two main characters. After finding the money, Olivia contacts the local police department and they eventually contact the FBI. Enter FBI agent Sloan. I did enjoy the progression of Olivia and Sloan's relationship. However, the story was slow. Their romance dealt with interracial relationships and the development of trust after divorce. I also enjoyed reading about Olivia's job as a principal and her relationships with her students in addition to the relationships that Sloan eventually formed with some of the students. However, I didn't really care for the conflict towards the end of the book or how the story ended. Olivia and Sloan's journey to love and trust was a slow burn love story that romance readers will enjoy.

A great read, the story of Olivia and Sloane, who meet when he is the FBI officer investigating after she finds a lot of money at the house she inherits. Is it love at first sight? I liked how it was told from both points of view.

DNF'ed at the 30% mark: it failed to capture my interest. The characters and storyline felt lackluster and failed to draw me in. The chemistry between the characters was lacking, and there was a noticeable absence of intrigue and suspense that would have kept me engaged in the narrative.

A solid read by a new-to-me author. I didn't realize this was Book #3 in the series; however you can read this book as standalone. It was a great mystery and romance....though the chemistry was meh between the two characters. The storyline was entertaining.
I look forward to reading the first two books in the series.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I love Sandra Kitt but this one was just OK for me. I think I wanted a little bit more character development

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book is part of a series, but I was able to enjoy it as a stand alone. This was an interesting book!

Olivia and Sloan both tell this story of what happens after Olivia, a teacher,. finds $1 million hidden in the walls of her great aunt's home. He's the FBI Agent sent to investigate but he becomes more. These two don't have a lot of spark (but there is spice) but the story is good. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read for a rainy day.

A little different than my normal romcoms. I would probably put it in the romance/suspense genre. A strong female main character who works in education was a key point in this story. It moved on from the discovery of money in the renovated house to more of a slow burn romance for Olivia and Sloan. They had great chemistry.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Finders Keepers to come out April 23, 2024.

SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca | Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley provided an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed here are solely my own.
This book had an intriguing premise, but unfortunately did not deliver. The found money plot fizzled out in an anticlimactic way. The chemistry between the main characters wasn’t believable. The social commentary about race and law enforcement was clunky at best. Ultimately this was a disappointing read.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca, The author Sandra Kitt & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review.

I really wanted to love this book… while it was a good story with an intriguing plot, it never came together enough for me. I really wanted to hear more about the money. While Olivia and Sloan clearly had chemistry, their relationship also left me wanting more.

Sandra Kitt has a way of incorporating good vocabular to describe a scene. She adds the details with a finesse that I found intriguing.
The description and introduction of the book heavily weighed on the discovery of money, however, that didn't play a large part in the main theme of the story, which I found confusing.
I wasn't hooked on this book immediately, but I slowly began to like the main characters, Olivia and Sloan. Sandra Witt created two realistic characters that overcame realistic life events. I enjoyed the self-discovery and normality of the events of the book.
If you like a slow burn, easy to read and follow book you'll enjoy Finders Keepers.

Olivia is renovating her great-aunt's house when she finds a crapload of money hidden behind her kitchen wall. In walks Sloan, an FBI agent, tasked with the investigation, and sparks soon fly. Olivia and Sloan are strong, independent characters (and I really like strong Black characters), and their interactions are enjoyable, even if it's a rather fast burn. They have pretty good chemistry romance is fun and enjoyable, with minimal angst despite Sloan and the occasional conflict of interest thought.
I didn't realise this is the third book in a series, but it reads pretty okay as a standalone. I did feel the writing voice feels a bit inconsistent but that wasn't a major issue. As a romantic suspense fan, I would've loved for the mystery component to be more suspenseful and complicated. That would have made the book a stronger read for me, but I know the book isn't marketed as such. Overall it's a solid read and I might circle back to the first two books.
Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC copy!

This story follows Olivia, who, when renovating a house she inherited from her great-aunt finds what is upwards of a million dollars hidden behind a wall in her kitchen, reports the money to law enforcement where she encounters agent Sloan from the FBI who is tasked with investigating where the money may have come from/why it was there.
Both MCs are besotted with each other at first sight, following Sloan's investigation, the two explore their feelings for each other. This book has such a unique premise, but the romance felt a little lacking. The MCs are very intentional with their time together, intentional with their conversation (as both were divorced), but it felt like the dual POV served to get to almost separate stories, despite all of the time we see them together. For as much description of them falling for each other, we don't really get the chemistry falling off the page that the reader would have expected to see.
All in all a fun read, but ultimately I wanted a bit more.
Thank you Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the ARC in exchange for my review!

loved this romance between an fbi agent sloan and educator who ends up finding money in a house that she renovating that comes from family. I would have liked a little more mystery in solving where the money came from but didn't happen. great romance and loved seeing the students.

I didn't realize when I initially got this book that it is part of a series. This is book three in The Millionaires Club. I'm not sure if it's a continuation of the previous two as this is the first I've read by this author. I did feel at times a little lost with the characters and felt it difficult to really get to know them and connect with them. I'm not sure if this is because of the writing style or because I've missed the first two books in the series. I liked the premise, though at times it was a little dragged out and could have probably been done in a shorter amount of pages. Overall, this was a cute romance with a little bit of mystery mixed in.

This was my first read by this author and it was very cute. The characters had good chemistry and I like how even though the attraction was instant it didn't feel like things moved too fast. Olivia was hesitant understandably so, but I'm glad things worked out for the couple.

I loved this book! Great chemistry between the characters and the whole story flowed really well. This is my first from this author and I can't wait to read more!

The story flowed well and the characters were well developed. I recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.
