Following a child through their day with little words of affirmation. I really enjoyed it. Loved the cute little dog/monster/thing that followed the kid around. It was super cute and fluffy. Lots of good examples of things kids struggle with.

This was cute and simple. It felt almost too simple but I loved the meaning behind it and how it encourages children to accept when they make mistakes.

I was underwhelmed by this. While I appreciate the simplicity, I think it could’ve done a better job wrapping up and clarifying the message and intent.

The overall meaning and/or message behind this book was cute. It was very repetitive to the point of annoyance. My toddler said it was ok. Not one I would add to my collection simply because it was so repetitive.

This is a delightful book about being young and different. A parent or educator coudl include this in thier curriculum or in a bedtime story . It has a wonderful message and helps children tackle those "big feelings". The illustrations are also delightful Perfect addition to anyones library with little ones.

This was a sweet reassuring book for young children. It confirms that children are okay when what used to be normal occurrences happen. in their lives like falling off a bike, trying something different, and have various emotions.

This book was ok. I understand the point of the book- but I think it potentially could put the idea in a kids head that they don't love themselves-and a lot of kids aren't missing that aspect. This would be for a very select audience in my opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this sweet child’s book.

As a mom of 2 boys this is a great book to help build your child’s confidence! They are reminded to love themselves with whatever they are doing while also remembering that they don’t have to be perfect. It is so important to read with your kids and I just love the message of this book!

What a lovely yet simple way to encourage a young child’s confidence and self esteem. The colorful illustrations greatly enhance the simple text. As a adult shares this book with a child, they might want to explain that the cuddly tan creature represents the inner self. I’d thought of it as an imaginary friend, but the author said it represents the child’s inner self.

I received an advanced copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
There's a little girl, through the pages of "I Love Myself," who's honest with herself when it comes to her emotions. She caring, and she's open about what makes her sad and happy. From riding a bike to jumping in muddy puddles, this little girl pushes herself no matter what. I found this picture book to be endearing, as it shows the readers that we can all love ourselves no matter what. Simplistic art meets a whole range of emotions as the reader learns that loving ourselves does help us feel better.

**Thank you to NetGalley and Orca Book Publishers for this ARC in exchange for an honest review**

This book is all about loving yourself for your many talents and interests, and despite your faults. It is about being yourself, setting boundaries, and not letting setbacks defeat you. You matter. You are loved, and you are enough.

I Love Myself is a wonderful book showing kids that, even when things are not perfect, they can still love themselves and have a positive perception of themselves. So often, we find ourselves lacking (especially when we compare ourselves to others). This book shows kids that it's normal to feel like that, even though it's not a good feeling. Instead, we should treat ourselves with respect and love. Even when we feel bad, we should keep trying, because tomorrow is another day!

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this advanced review copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review on the book!

A very cute, short and sweet book that I can see helping lots of children when they get discouraged.

Super cute children’s book with a great lesson - loving yourself takes practice! Loving yourself can happen during great times, during challenging times, during quiet times, when you’re alone, and when you are with friends and family.

Its something i wish was out when i was having a extremely hard time loving myself as a child. I would definitely recommend it for children at a young age to read so they can know that your perfect the way you are and you learn that with time.
