I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.
took me awhile to like the characters, but it was a quick thrilling read. it was kind of like the breakfast club if there was a murder? the character’s felt a little bit trope-y, but i would read another book of hers. i like that it kept me guessing! Thank you for this e-book!
I love young adult mystery thrillers. This one had a lot of twists and turns I didn’t see coming, and I loved the mysterious aspect.
If you like One of Us is Lying or Good Girls Guide to Murder you will love this book. One dead student with a case going cold. 5 students with mystery letters bringing them together to investigate. This was a fast paced mystery that had me on my toes. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Campus Murder Club kicks off with a bang when nursing student Jaime gets murdered in her room. This book is a wild ride from the get-go, which threw me into a maze of questions and a plot that kept me hooked.
The group dynamic added a dash of charm to the dark and mysterious vibe, with characters that made up a solid crew. Mental health representation is also in the mix, a rare but welcome touch in the YA thriller scene.
As the story unfolds, different threads weave together, creating a tapestry of suspense and excitement. There are surprises and gasp-worthy moments that made me appreciate the author's knack for keeping me guessing!
Okay, so hear me out… I liked this book but there were parts & characters that fell flat for me. At times I felt like I was reading about kids in high school instead of kids that were suppose to be in college. Sometimes dialogue or how a specific character acted felt super childish. Some character development was better than others, I feel like some of the characters that were suppose to be “main” characters ended up not having enough information to fully make them stand out, while characters who weren’t part of the group had some information that wasn’t entirely relevant.
I will say I did enjoy the story overall though! There were lots of twist that I really wasn’t expecting & did find myself enjoying. A few nights I stayed up later than I should have to see how the story would unfold. This was a first by this author & I will probably read another in the future.
Thank you NetGalley & publisher for an eARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really entertaining and enjoyable book. This is a really great book I would recommend! Special Thank You to Kristi Rose, Victory and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first book that I have read by Kristi Rose and I am so happy to say that it won't be the last.
Camp Murder Club gave me One of Us Is Lying vibes and I loved it. I really enjoyed being able to follow along with the characters as they tried to find out who the killer was. I saw in someone's review that this book reminded them of The Breakfast Club with how all the characters were different on the surface but discovered how similar and alike they were underneath and I really loved that comparison.
Though there were moments where the book felt like it wasn't realistic, I found Camp Murder Club to be entertaining and fun read.
Thank you to Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for providing me with this ARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I loved everything about this book. The characters, the fast paced story with so many twists and turns, the numerous back stories that don’t distract or over complicate but add to the story. So amazingly written!
I’m so hoping for a second book!
Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit I wasn't really a big fan of Campus Murder Club. It was okay for a young adult crime novel I guess, but I was pretty bored most of the way through it.
To be fair though, I'm not really in the target age group.
I didn't expect it to be as young adult as it was. I do read a few young adult novels from time to time, but this one was a bit more juvenile than I'm used to.
Kids in their mid teens will probably love it.
3 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very fresh and gripping young adult thriller. It was very dark and surprising at times. Recommended to younger and older readers.
This was the first book I have read by Kristi Rose and it won't be the last. Campus Murder Club was phenomenal!! As soon as I started this book I knew I wasn't going to be able to put it down. It had a great plot twist that I didn't see coming. I definitely enjoyed playing a guessing game trying to figure it out. The characters are well developed. I would highly recommend this book!!!
Thank you NetGalley and ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
This book is..wow. It was crazy, the way the plot twists and turns so much, people you thought were good are bad but the people you thought for sure were bad are good? It was intense, but so good!
Six months ago, Jaime Sullivan was raped and murdered in her dorm on campus. The police and the school have done next to nothing, and Jaime is slowly being forgotten. Now, after all receiving letters that ask to meet to talk about Jaime, 5 strangers are desperate for answers. And thus, the Campus Murder Club is formed.
Wow! I definitely was not expected the ending to turn out the way it did! Rose did a fantastic job at keeping me engaged and wondering who did it. The characters were all your typical who-done-it clichés; Elliot- the journalist with a background that causes her to get a bit too invested, Seema- the badass who isn't as indifferent as she leads everyone to believe, Teddy- the geek with all the book smarts needed, Hillary- the "ditzy" cheerful one who sees the good in everyone, and Trey- the jock who is the dictionary definition of a himbo. I loved this book! It was decently written, and was set in a way that could lead to a second book- which I will absolutely devour.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC!
Great, action packed myster(ies) that keep you guessing! I thought I knew who did it but I was way off and didn’t know until the very last pages who the real killer was. I really enjoyed reading this book and the way the author kept the momentum up throughout the entire book, keeping the reader engaged. Such a fun and suspenseful read! Tons of action! Highly recommend!
One of the best mysteries I've read this year! The characters are interesting. The plot was unique. There are several twists that kept me guessing. And that ending! I didn't see that coming. I hope this becomes a series. There is a ton of potential here!

I'm obsessed!! Reading this book, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. With parts of me excited to get to the end to see the answers I also found peace in taking it all in slowly and trying to piece together my own thoughts throughout it.
The Campus Murder Club is available October 6th!
Thank you NetGalley and Victoria Editing on the opportunity to review The Campus Murder Club. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Six months ago Jamie, a nursing student, was found brutally killed in her dorm. It shocked the school and community at large, with the school implementing new security procedures/curfew. Now considered a cold case (6 months seems a bit quick for it to become a cold case but just roll with it) by the police, five students receive mysterious notes inviting them to come to together to solve the murder where they find a box containing the actual evidence collected by the police. What the heck is going on? Why these five random people? (Are they as random as they seem?) They aren’t friends. They weren’t friends with the victim. So what the heck is going on and who is behind it all? I’ll admit the story hook really grabbed me. The intro to the odd group of would-be sleuths just really had a late 90’s thriller/horror movie vibe to it, and I’d totally watch a movie version of this book. The interesting cast of characters and nicely twisting plot kept me entertained til the very end. If you’re like me and are only familiar with Kristi Rose for her Samantha True, just know this has a much different vibe, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. I’d like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an eARC of Campus Murder Club.

Campus Murder Club by Kristi Rose is a very entertaining YA mystery!
The storyline and characters were excellent. Kept me up and turning pages way past my bedtime.
The suspense and plot was very well thought out with lots of twists and turns that ensure you won’t put the book down. The setting and characters really made the atmosphere more compelling. The author comes up with an extremely intriguing plot that keeps you hanging on the edge of your seat.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
Thank You NetGalley and Victory Editing for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
This book reminded me a lot of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. It was a great ride and I was definitely surprised by one of the twists at the end. I struggled a little bit with just how juvenile some of the dialogue was. I loved Elliot's character and thought she was such a strong character despite her not necessarily always showing it. I did guess one of the twists but ultimately Kristi still got me with a certain death. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and it was a relatively quick read. I needed to know about each character and where they were going to get to. I felt like there could have been a little more excitement leading up to the end of the book because some of it did feel very abrupt. Other than that, I found this to be a good read!
