Amazing photos from around the world. I almost wish there weren't words so my kids and I could have just looked and enjoyed.
Imagine Everywhere
5 Stars
I love this picture book; it invites you to explore nature in interesting and thought-provoking ways. The photography is stunning. I adore the vivid colors and detailed animal photos in their natural environment. I couldn't help admiring the author's zest for life. I'm thankful that he shared his unique view of the world.
The guidance section, for adults, is a great addition. It's a really helpful tool, and his being a teacher shines through here. My kiddos are curious, so I wish more books included a section like this one.
Overall, a great conversation starter!
This book is packed full of fun facts and animal information. I'd definitely recommend this one for any classroom. I could see it being the students' or teacher's favorite.
Thank you, NetGalley and Greenleaf Book Group, for providing me with a digital ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is packed with gorgeous pictures, fascinating facts and thoughtful questions, and can be an excellent tool for engaging interest and sparking curiosity about the wider world in children of various ages.
The guidance provided to adults on how to best use it is a really helpful tool. And if you put a little thought into it, it's quite straightforward to figure out ways in which to repackage and present the content for children of different age groups.
Featuring material from several countries, and covering all the different continents, the book provides an effective taste of just how much our big, beautiful world has to offer us. For example, I had never come across a mob of joeys before! This book is great fun.
Impressive through and through!
I love it when authors give a proper guide on how to use the book for educational purposes to the adults reading it when it is a children’s book.
A note to grown ups is just the perfect way! Kudos author!
The book is filled with real pictures of wildlife with highlighted words which sound the same but mean differently. The book is a basic guide on how to differentiate them.
The pages are filled with colours and pictures with just enough words to convey the information which I feel is best suited.
Just the book you would want to introduce to your kid.
Thank you, Greenleaf Book Group, for the advance reading copy.
This is really cute with lots unique animals for kids to discover and other beautiful places and people. It also encourages counting. The end of the book talked to parents about connecting words with the pictures. I love the pictures in the book the parent could go more in depth talking about the pictures if the children looking at the book are older in age. I’d loved to have had more more pictures to look at you.
Thanks to Greenleaf Book Group, NetGalley, and J. Lawrence Graham for the chance to review an advance copy of Imagine Everywhere. This book is filled with beautiful pictures that give you a glimpse of our world at its best. The pictures can be used for many purposes such as helping teach children how to recognize words or animals or places or concepts. This book would be an excellent addition to any classroom or library.
I think this book is great for children of many different ages. I like the photography in it and think that the note for grown-ups at the beginning is such a great addition
What a wonderfully creative book! I just loved the beautiful pictures and the clever captions, allowing children to explore in a variety of ways. I kept thinking that this book would be perfect for homeschooling - younger children can count the items in the pictures and learn the simplest terms (mother, baby) while older children look for similarities between the pictures (they both have spots, they are both using things they made themselves). Even older children can use their imaginations to create stories, poems or art, or research the animals, people and places depicted.
The photographs were taken by the author, in two dozen countries and all seven continents, so there are also opportunities to talk about places and people who live differently than you do. Each page has two pictures, with captions (“Can tortoises smile?” “This bird has blue feet! What color are your shoes?”). The author has also included helpful information at the end which tells something about the photos and gives ideas for creative learning.
As an educator, I heartily endorse this book, and plan to buy several copies for my grandnieces and nephews.
Many thanks to Greenleaf Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book does exactly as it says which is "spark[ing] children's interests in the bigger world!"
It's filled with fun, diverse, and colourful photos from all around the world. Different animals. Cultures. People. Environments, etc. introduced in a fun and simple way for kids.
I think this book is perfect for children because it really really shows them how wonderful the world is!
