I have read a Gillian Archer book before and loved it, so I was excited to see this new release.

Shay is the obligatory bridemaid in her cousin's wedding and MUST go to her bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas with a whole group of girls she can't stand. There is not place she would rather NOT be. While they are out to dinner she catches the eye of a lonely guy and they spend some time together. Which turns into them getting hitched that night!

Chase is the lead singer/song writer for his band the Tin Gods. He has been in a writing slump for almost tow years. He and his girlfriend, a famous model, head to Vegas and are planning to elope. Next thing he knows the news is flying that she eloped with someone else. He is out at a restaurant and notices a beautiful, curvy bombshell.

We follow them back to LA where we watch Shay move into Chase's world.

My absolute favorite thing about this book in the climax/issue is real, it makes sense. Sometimes I find the conflict with the main characters is far fetched or the FMC is just being extra dramatic. With this book, you really feel her pain and fight for them to come back together.

You want them to make it in this book and there is PLENTLY of spice. Highly recommend. Can't wait to read the next one. At this time there are only plans it seems for a second, but I can see this being a 4 book series.

Thank you for Net Galley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest feedback.

Shay goes to Vegas with her cousins to be part of the bachelorette party. She does not want to be there but she feels gilded into going. Once there she is not having a good time at all and after being teased and said mean and hurtful things to her by her cousin and friends. A guy comes up to her and tells her positive affirmations, this leads to them spending the night in Vegas just hanging out and having a good time. By the time the morning comes, she is waking up in bed with the same guy but her phone is blowing up and it is then that she realises that she is married to rock musician Chase who last night began writing music again something he has not been able to do in a very long time. After talking it over she decides to try and make it work and when they go to his home and run into problems with a bandmate and a manager she sees him sticking up for her towards them. This was a very good book about two people coming together regardless of the people around them. A very good book with good characters.

ARC received for review

Great new series from Ms. Archer. Love rock stars. Chase has lost his music, but Shay's love brings it back. Will she stay and believe in his love?

"Rocked" by Gillian Archer is a captivating romance that follows Shay and Chase on an unpredictable journey of love and self-discovery. While the story may be somewhat predictable, the transparent acknowledgment of this fact adds an element of anticipation, keeping readers engaged. The characters, particularly Chase and Shay, contribute depth to the narrative. Chase's smarmy and self-centered demeanor, along with Shay's initial naivety, sets the stage for their personal growth throughout the story. Despite Chase's flaws, the chemistry between the characters is palpable, creating a connection that makes the romance both passionate and intense. The unconventional nature of their relationship and the spontaneity of the plot require some suspension of reality but add to the overall fun and excitement of the book.

"Rocked" is a delightful blend of romance, heat, and character development. The flaws in the characters are outweighed by the emotional depth and passion woven into the narrative. The story's unpredictability keeps readers turning the pages, eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. For those who enjoy tales of sexy rock stars and characters embracing new experiences, "Rocked" is a recommended read, promising a rollercoaster of emotions and a journey of self-discovery.

This is a marriage of convenience which made for a very fun and quick read.

Shay and chase were really interesting characters with so much chemistry! Their story was told in dual POV which I love.
Shay and chase definitely weren’t perfect but it was a fun and enjoyable read nevertheless.
There were also some great background characters which added to the stories depth.

This was an enjoyable quick read that I’d recommended for anyone who likes a rockstar romance.

ROCKED is the first instalment in Gillian Archer’s contemporary, adult TIN GODS ROCK STAR erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of Tin Gods. This is thirty-five year old singer/writer Chase Robinson, and twenty-five year old, engineer Shay Campbell’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Shay and Chase) ROCKED follows in the aftermath of the Vegas wedding between our story line couple. Shay Campbell was in Vegas for her cousin’s bachelorette party but Shay wasn’t welcome, and found herself on the outside looking in. Chase Robinson was in Vegas to marry his long-time but questionable girlfriend but discovered she had married somebody else. Both struggle with what to do next, Chase proposed married to our story line heroine, and in the aftermath everything began to spiral out of control. From petulant bandmates to screeching family, Chase and Shay would have to face the truth but together they were stronger than apart. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Shay and Chase, and the potential fall-out as Chase’s old ways threaten to destroy the growing love with our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on the Tin Gods rock band: their fame and fortune, their groupies and fans, their desperation to be accepted by the public at large but Chase has found his happily ever after in Shay Campbell, only to realize that his own betrayal will rip them apart.Shay Campbell is an innocent, having grown up with an uber-religious step-father, a man who believes in a strict moral code. Naïve to the point of child-like awe, Shay struggles Chase’s lifestyle, language and the people he knows.

The relationship between Shay and Chase begins as a Vegas marriage, a marriage to a man Shay does not remember, a man who is about to rock her world. But betrayal will come at a cost, threatening any sense of happiness, and Chase will have to grovel in an effort to win back the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to the band: Jesse Mala, Noah, Xander, Manager Tyler Worthington, and security specialist Walker, as well as Chase’s sister Ella, his mother Lori, and Shay’s angry and quick to judge parents.

ROCKED is a familiar story of power and control, betrayal and forgiveness, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is entertaining, captivating and endearing although the plotline resonates with a familiarity too easily dismissed; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are determined, dynamic and charismatic

Thanks to Netgalley, Xpresso Book Tours and Gillian Archer for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed Rocked. I love a good Rockstar romance and this didn't disappoint.
Shay and Chase were charismatic and interesting and their chemistry was off the charts.
I liked the other characters too, especially the band and Ella.

This is the first book I've read from Gillian Archer and it definitely won't be the last. I'm especially looking forward to Jesse and Ella's story.

I highly recommend.

4 Stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While the premise seemed interesting, the execution fell short for me. Chase didn't have the personality a rockstar - don't even get me started on their supposedly successful song lyrics.
Shay was more relatable in terms of her relationship with her family. The marriage of convenience clearly profited them both, but the Gordon Ramsay look alike was a touch too much.

The book was enjoyable enough to read it to the end, but I had to cheer myself on at times.
Sorry. This one was not for me.
Thank you for the ARC 😊

I enjoyed and recommend this title because this book is an instant attraction that turns into a marriage of convenience within hours of meeting between rockstar and wallflower and it definitely was fun to read. There was a lot going on in this book and the dynamic between Chase and Shay was ever evolving. At first this couple's connection served their separate interest but gradually it started to move into the direction of mutual interest. BUT man was their chemistry was steamy once it started. 🥵 because of all that believed in them as a couple. I also really believed in the reason for the conflict in their relationship and I was glad that it was resolved.

This is a sweet rockstar romance between Shey and Chase who end up married after meeting in Las Vegas. The story is complex with two very different characters and their interesting personality. Shy was okay, although she let Chase persuade her on too many things. Chase is not my kind of man, and I loved that Shy had put him in his place.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

“She’s mine and I was keeping her.”

Rockstar romances are my absolute favorite genre and I read a lot of them. I love it when I discover another new for me rockstar writer. Rocked (which isn’t really a great title, by the way, but oh well…) is the first book in the Tin Gods Rock Star series and I’m already captivated and committed to reading every future book. This first book is band frontman Chase’s love story. It wasn’t at all what I expected. Despite the premise this isn’t an instalove romance nor is it a marriage of convenience. The way they end up marrying the night they meet and how they move forward afterwards is so interesting and believable.

Polar opposites in almost every way, neither of them were perfect. Shay had a lot of issues due to her less than wonderful family and upbringing and was incredibly naive for someone so intelligent and educated. Chase seemed like the stereotypical rockstar, drinking, groupies, etc, and while I initially liked him that soured as time went by and he showed how much he still needed to grow up. He was interesting to watch because subconsciously he wanted to do the right thing but his conscious mind and habits were constantly leading him astray. He was also in many ways very selfish and didn’t even realize it. As he changed I fell in love with him and by the end he totally redeemed himself in my eyes. The two of them were so great together and their chemistry was fantastic. They really did bring out the best in each other and I truly enjoyed watching them fall in love.

This is actually a four and a half star book as the ending was rushed and lacking in the depth the rest of the book had plus there were a couple of questions never answered and I also feel he really never earned her forgiveness. Based on what he did, she gave in too easily. I rounded up instead of down because except for the last few chapters this book was definitely five stars plus the actual writing itself was excellent and well edited. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the books in the series and highly recommended this wonderful book to anyone who loves rockstar romances as much as I do.

What could go wrong when you wake up in Vegas married to a rockstar? Do you ride the insane ride and embrace the insanity or tuck tail and run? When Shay and Chase first meet neither one is having the fun they both expected Vegas to bring them and of course Shay was completely clueless to who he is. For Shay this is a chance for her to experience things she never could under her strict stepfather’s religious views and for Chase it’s the first time he has had lyrics flow so easily when she is around. The night goes on and they concoct a crazy idea to get married because hey it’s Vegas, little does Shay know that Chase has more than one reason for wanting this with her. The story takes us on a ride of installs/love while they try to sort through this new path their lives are taking, but Shay ends up sacrificing so much of herself while Chase gets everything he wants. I loved the flow of the story, the characters, and all the emotions it pulled out of me. I wasn’t fond of how awful those close to Chase were so cruel to Shay without doing too much groveling, yet I understood how they wanted to make sure she wasn’t out for money or to destroy him. Shay had her moments where I would think she is finally standing up for herself only to fold when Chase kissed her and in moments like this when her being naive really made me want to shake her. Then Chase had a lot of things to figure out because he couldn’t grasp how much he was hurting Shay and practically using her for his own needs. I loved that towards the end we do see both Chase and Shay grow when things go sideways and they both realize they needed time to reset and figure things out. Overall, this story was cute, fun, and steamy that kept me glued to the very end.

Gillian Archer brings an instant attraction that turns into a marriage of convenience within hours of meeting between rockstar Chase Robertson and wallflower Shay Campbell in Rocked, the first book in her Tin God Rock Stars series for an entertaining read!

Chase was at first and even second glance a bit self absorbed but little by little his interactions with Shay showed everyone including himself a side of himself long dormant, seeing beyond his own needs and putting some else’s first. Chase was not a bad person but he had a lot of growing to do and Shay not only served as his creative muse but motivated him to be less selfish. Shay was about fitting in to the extent that she stopped reaching for her true dreams. Relegated to second her whole life and doing what pleased others she found herself ultimately in the same predicament with Chase, once again taking a backseat to others.

There was a lot going on in this book and the dynamic between Chase and Shay was ever evolving. At first this couple's connection served their separate interest but gradually it started to move into the direction of mutual interest. Their chemistry was steamy but more so it was the development of their emotional tie that kept this story interesting. It was nice to see a heroine who despite her insecurities and development of feelings stand her ground and recognize when her situation was not healthy and stand up for herself. Additionally Chase's maturing and seeing his mistakes as well as wanting to correct them was refreshing. The struggles in this work were done well and this author did a good job of portraying the over the top world of a rockstar. Fun interactions with the band and the rest of the secondary cast will keep readers engaged.

Gillian Archer showed some deceptively strong independent women in this work. Her evolving of her portrayals emotions was done well and their feelings for each other felt genuine. Gillian Archer's Rocked was a quick and fun read and a good start to her Tin God Rock Stars series!

This book tells the story of an impromptu wedding between a rockstar and a small town virgin and the aftermath of marrying someone you do know nothing about. It is entertaining and for those who are fans of the „insta love“ trope, this book is perfect.

I loved this book. I am not a big fan of insta love books but worked in this one. Chase was all about fun but when he met Shay, he knew he found his one. They should have never work but somehow they did. Shay was a sweet girl who was caught in a whole new world and she did the best she could to survive in it. It took them some time but found their pace and that's what's important. They both were devoted to the other and loved the other so much. It was fast yes but it felt natural. I liked how at the end they took things slow and Shay made him grovel a lot, you go girl, he deserved it

This rock star romance, between playboy vocalist Chase Robinson and virginal engineer Shay Campbell, is just the ticket if you love yourself a married in Vegas meet-cute, with low-angst and a steamy connection between polar opposites looking for love.

Themes/tropes:

☆ Rock star/playboy hero
☆ Shy virgin heroine
☆ Married in Vegas
☆ First times
☆ Opposites attract
☆ Rags to riches
☆ Religious family

Shay and Chase share an instant connection, meeting in Vegas at a time that they’re both feeling pretty down and mistreated by the people in their lives. An unexpected night of emotional bonding and inspiration, leads to a shot-gun wedding and a major life-alteration for quiet and simple Shay, but it all seems worth it to get to be the new wife of a rock legend like Chase Robinson—which is a fact she isn’t aware of until AFTER the nuptials have been taken!

The first half of the story follows Shay and Chase’s whirlwind romance—full of sweet endearments and sexy shenanigans—and sees Shay being thrown to the wolves, as it were, in the face of public scrutiny and judgement from literally everyone in their personal lives who is stumped by their potentially (most definitely) rash decision-making.

The secondary cast—including Chase’s bandmates, their manager, his mother and sister, and Shay’s disgruntled family—all took a little getting used to, if I’m being honest. For someone who reads predominantly for the characters and their relationships (in whichever form that takes), it definitely took me a hot-minute to warm to some of these people. Although their initial rudeness and cruelty came from a place of supposed caring, I found it jarring.

But the second half saw a lot of interesting changes and improvements to the characters and the storyline itself, at least in my personal experience. After what was an ALMOST an unforgivable act puts a wedge between Chase and Shay, the secondary cast rallied around them both, offering support and advice to the newlyweds at a time they both needed a good shake-up and reality-check if they wanted to make it as a couple long-term.

Although a lot of the initial moments between Chase and Shay bordered on too insta-ish and perhaps unrealistic, the issues they faced in the second half of the story gave their characters and their relationship some perfect opportunities to reflect on past behaviour and perhaps naïve choices, and forced them to grow as individuals and as a couple, in a more grounded and genuine ways that made them a couple worth rooting for.

Rock star romances are always touch and go for me, but I flew through this one at a fast pace because it had a really easy and effortless tone to it that had me craving a little bit more at the end of each chapter. I ended up liking the characters in general, but I’m not all that sure I liked them enough to continue with the series… but we’ll see.

I’m a sucker for a “whoops, I married a stranger in Vegas” trope—which, YES, it’s totally a trope if I’ve read more romances with this theme than I could count on both hands. It often requires a bit of suspension of disbelief on the readers part, and an acceptance of insta-love and love-at-first-sight magic, but if you can look past all of that then you will likely have a decent time with this one like I did.

Going to Vegas is the last thing practical Shay wants to do but family is family right? Unfortunately her cousin drives her to drink and a chance meeting in a bar changes everything. Chase is a rock god who unfortunately has been experiencing writer’s block. Heading to Vegas to marry his girl is supposed to change all that until he finds out she got married to someone else. Bumping into Shay in the bar changes everything, but the biggest shock is her lack of knowledge of his superstar rock status. This seems to be the start of a new series by the author with some overlap of her Star Studded series. It has the same realistic vibe yet also the fantasy of what happens when an everyday person marries a rock star. Yes Chase has some jerk-like tendencies that make you want to smack him but isn’t that what most of us think about celebrities who loose touch with reality? This book is a great read that has a bit of it all, fantasy, heat, realism and strong leads. The fact that Chase seems to overcome the negativity of stardom and really fall for the “average” Shay will have you cheering for the two of them. I can’t wait for more about the other band members. 4.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and read this arc. All thoughts are my own.
