This book is a romance but it’s also a love letter to small towns. Sage lives on her farm and loves her small town and everyone in it and she’s so unapologetically herself, even if others think she’s too nice or quirky she knows it’s okay to own it. She falls for the big city Michelin star chef in town only for the summer who is learning how to be a guardian to his teenage niece. The emotions around that and their struggle with grief made the story a little deeper than just a feel good romance. I appreciated the relationship between her and Fisher and her efforts to help him heal and overcome his preconceived notions about small towns. This book doesn’t have any third act miscommunication, the temporary separation is for completely valid reasons, which was a huge positive. This book was a very heartwarming slow burn small town romance.

Savor It is a wonderful read. I loved this one. If you love those small town with a little quirk then look no further. Sage is a sweetheart and loved by most in town with a band of protective brothers. Fisher is on hold with his career and trying to get his passion back. With his niece in tow he tries to get his friends new restaurant moving. The chemistry build between Sage and Fisher is wonderful. I love how Sage helps Fisher find what he is looking for. There are so many little moments that will put a smile on your face and make you fall in love with Sage and Fisher. I could not get enough of this one. Go click it today

I've seen books written by Tarah DeWitt all over Bookstagram the last few years, and for some reason, I never gave her a try until now. To summarize my thoughts of this book in a few words: THIS is the type of romance novel the world needs right now. It's funny, relatable, swoony, and makes you want to root for everyone.

This story involves Sage and Fisher. Sage is a teacher that has lived in a small-town her entire life. While she has experienced a lot of hardships and sadness in her life, she is more than content with her life filled with gardening and her flock of misfit animals. Fisher is a Michelin-starred chef that was hugely successful in NYC at a very young age, but quickly burnt out after the sudden death of his sister left him as the guardian for his teenage niece, Indy. Fisher and Indy head to the small town of Spunes, Oregon for the summer to repair not only Fisher's floundering career, but to hopefully come to terms with the uncharted waters that is Fisher and Indy's relationship. Fisher has no idea how to be the guardian of a teenager and Indy has no interest in seeing him as a father-figure.

Over the course of the summer, Fisher and Indy become [initially, reluctantly] embedded in the zany small-town antics of Spunes. Indy finds her place among friends her age, and Fisher becomes more involved with the town's golden girl, Sage, than either of them ever expected. What starts off as a fake-dating ruse very quickly turns into a friendship and even more by the end of the summer. The problem is, Fisher and Indy are only in Spunes for the summer. What will happen when it's all over?

As mentioned earlier, this is a sweet rom-com filled with imperfect, yet relatable main and side characters, and the whole reading experience was a joy. My only critique is that all of the main conflicts of the book had limited build up and overly-quick resolutions. I felt the emotions and tensions building, but before I could process my feelings on everything, the event or conflict was over.

I would LOVE to read more Tarah DeWitt in the future! I can just tell she is going to have a really successful career if she keeps going in this direction.

Loved it! Super cute story and checked all my romance boxes. Characters were all well written and likeable, and flew through reading it. Highly recommend.

I had no idea I needed a small town girl X chef romance in my life until I read this. This storyline really hits some deep points (burnout, past family trauma, death of loved ones) without feeling too terribly sad. Their story is one with a lot of healing and loving. I also think I left my heart with Gary and Indy

Perfect romance with a family history and a little bit of small-town drama thrown in for good measure. I couldn't stop reading this book. The family dynamics were heartwarming. I loved the details of their day-to-day lives and the colorful characters of the small town. This novel is a bit different from your typical romance novel and I liked that. All in all, this is a great book. Highly recommend.

Honestly I thought that I would love this book but I’m not sure I’m the target audience for it. It seems cute and fun but it just felt like there was something missing for me.

I’ve been trying for weeks to put my thoughts on this book into words, and I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no way I could do it justice.

I’m tearing up (again) simply writing this review and thinking about the most prevalent themes, and especially Fisher and how much I see myself in him. If you take one read away from my account, I hope it’s this book.

I know going in to a Tarah DeWitt novel is always going to stretch my feelings in way that are not always under my control, but Savor It took that challenge and raised it to an entirely new stratosphere. Fisher and Sage and their messy, perfect lives resonated so much with my own, and I find myself as always anxiously awaiting What Comes Next from DeWitt. I'm so grateful for the chance to have read an e-ARC, and will be starting it again soon, I'm sure. Geese mate for life, and I feel like Gary when I look at this story.

I have loved everything I've ever read from Tarah DeWitt- she has such a special way of writing captivating stories that are also so so funny.

Savor It is a sweet, small town romance that follows Sage, a local to her small town who is in the process of picking up the pieces of her life when her 5-year relationship falls apart and Fisher, a hotshot chef from New York City who recently became the guardian of his 14-year old niece. Fisher relocates to the small Oregon town to help his boss complete a new restaurant project and is met with plenty of resistance from the townspeople. Fisher and Sage create a unique friendship which soon turns into a mutually-beneficial, fake dating situation. Fisher gets the stamp of approval from the town in hopes it speed up his project and Sage is no longer viewed as the broken-hearted mess that she was once viewed as.

Savor It was adorable- I loved both of the main characters and I found the story to be so cute and entertaining.

I am convinced Tarah DeWitt can do no wrong. This is my fourth book of hers (yep, read them all), and every single one is such a lighthearted and swoony read filled with great humor. From pun-ny tops and eclectic robes to library lusting and midnight rendezvous, Savor It made my entire heart happy. And now, I also want to have my very own goose. Thanks, Tarah.

Things I loved:

~ The tension and eventual spice (Delicious!)
~ Dual POV for the win!
~ Sage's brothers
~ The humor
~ Fisher (Oh, Sagebyrd, how this man made my heart skip beats.)
~ The small-town charm and collection of characters (Giving me Stars Hollow vibes!)
~ The ending! Such a beautiful conclusion that stayed true to both characters. (I also may have cried through the last five chapters.)

The only thing keeping Savor It from being five stars for me was the pacing. At times, it caught me off guard.
Overall, Tarah can continue to have my money because I absolutely LOVE her books and know I can count on her to bring me into a world I don't want to leave with characters I want to befriend (or be? Who's to say?).

This was my first book from Tarah Dewitt and OMG. I will be reading her entire backlog now--I am obsessed with the feels this book gave me, her writing, her characters, all of it!

guys i can't even lie. i certainly judged a book by its cover with this one (because hello?! it's stunning?!) and was not disappointed in the slightest!!! THIS STORY WAS EVERYTHING TO ME!! big city, hot-shot chef looking for inspiration finds himself rediscovering his passion with the town's "golden girl" who also owns a farm and loves her town and loves everybody so fiercely i wanted to cry. these two are PERFECT to me and there were so many incredible quotes throughout that will forever stay with me. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ONE ENOUGH!

I loved the two MCs, the premise, and the side characters (plus the animals!!). It was all so good and so enjoyable to read. Loved the writing from start to finish and how the whole story came alive. My first time reading a Tarah DeWitt novel and I will absolutely be visiting her backlist and picking up any future books she writes

A story that makes you feel so much that you want to savor it.
I loved Sage spirit, and all the tiny things that characterized her : her farm, flowers, house, robes, animals, etc. Fisher is the sweetest, how he’s there and falls in love… and all the side characters makes the story even better.
There is no drama or secret, it’s a story about two people who are falling in love, and damn … it feels right!
I know my head and heart will be in this one for a few days

This was my first Tara DeWitt book and I am hooked! It kept me engaged from the moment I opened it and am so excited to continue reading her other books.

Savor It was such a lovely book! It was warm, cozy and uplifting and I really loved it! Fisher and Sage were adorable, funny, interesting and mature. I really appreciated the lack of drama and was able to really just enjoy their story (together, but also their individual growth). The setting of Spunes was so perfectly developed to give it the small-town quirky feel without being too over-the-top. Tarah Dewitt is excellent here - I am already eagerly awaiting her next book (I hope it is focuses on another other Byrd family member :) )!!

It's official....Sage and Fisher has basically ruined me for any other fictional couple. I will never be the same.

I have a secret...I had the privilege of reading this book a very long time ago. And the way that I am still unable to move past them speaks volumes to Tarah's talent and ability to truly bring to life her characters. Sage was....so relatable and all you wanted to do was hug her and tell you that you loved her just the way she was. And Fisher....::sigh:: he was so broken and so at rock bottom that you just felt your heart crack for him. But watching them find each other....man....what I wouldn't give to watch them fall in love for the first time.

And I don't think I've ever cried the way that I cried over a goose before...but Gary has stolen my heart and I've never wanted one so bad in my entire existence.

Listen, I read a lot of books....a LOT of books...and in all the books that I've read, I never...and I mean NEVER read a book twice with my eyeballs. Sure...I've read a book and then listened to the audio as a re-read but I've never picked up a book twice and read it. Except for this one. And let me tell you...I cried harder the second time around. I don't say that to scare you but to really bring home how talented Tarah is as a writer. I am so emotionally invested and connected to these characters that I am forever changed.

Savor It will release into the wild next year and I just cannot wait for everyone to officially hold them in their hands and fall so hard for them.

I devoured this book. Tara has truly created one of the best small towns I have ever been a part of - "I think finding the right people - finding your people - can be the thing that makes anywhere feel like home." And I am home. I laughed, I cried, I hurt, and I loved alongside all these characters. Sage may have stolen Fisher's heart, but she also has a piece of mine. Sage shows us all how to let go, how to wish for more, and how to love what and who you have. There was so much growth for these characters both as a couple and separately and their story reminded me over the power of romances and why I love this genre. It is not just about the HEA, its about the way these characters remind us of the best and worst parts of ourselves and show us how important it is to be human, to grow, and more importantly to love. The title is truly the biggest theme and this book inspired me to savor the story, the journey through the book, and also my own life and love all the little things. This is one I will come back to again and again.

Can I start off by saying I loved Sages character and how free spirited she seemed. The story itself I struggled to get through until about 50% in. There was much repetition and I was waiting for something exciting to happen. The last half of the book had me melting though! I guess that is just the trope of slow burn romance, which I am not a huge fan of. There was so many side stories and characters, which I just loved. "Funny Feelings" was one of my favorite books, so I may be just comparing this one to that a bit too hard. I did enjoy this story, however it just was not anything extravagant for me.
