This was a fun and easy read. Nothing special, but also a perfect comfort read that was exactly what I wanted.

I really liked the premise of this book. A grieving NYC chef who has been struggling to sustain his early stardom as he takes over raising his niece is charged with opening a new smalltown restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. A high school social studies teacher with a hobby farm dreams of full time flower farming as she tries to move on from her hometown heartbreak. I started out really digging this story but somewhere along the way it stopped progressing in its depth, and it ended up feeling really superficial for me. One unfortunate detail kept recurring much to my annoyance scene after scene. No one, especially a single gal who maintains her own house, gardens sufficiently to work the local farmer's market, and cares for a whole hobby farm menagerie of animals ,would have the time to paint her nails different colors multiple times per week. Those nails would be digging in the dirt, shoveling Clydesdale horse doo-doo, scrubbing her laundry, and doing a whole host of physical farm chores. The lack of authenticity lost me.

The way Tarah transports the reader into her worlds is magical. I loved how raw and real this story and the characters felt.

Sage and Fisher were two opposites that found a home within each other. While they originally were going to have the arrangement for just the summer while Fisher was visiting, their feelings became deeper and deeper than either of them expected. At the same time, Indy, Fisher's teenage niece, was also trying to find her way in the world. While she had been dealt a rough hand early on, Fisher was there to try to make amends and be the best guardian he could be. I loved seeing Fisher and Indy's relationship grow and morph as they

Add in a cast of small town characters who made meddling and gossip an Olympic sport, and Sage's collection of animal companions who knew just what to do to help Sage, Fisher and Indy.

I love small towns, and this was no exception. This has everything I love in a small town romance: the neighbors, the intimacy of it all. Tarah Dewitt is a first-time author for me, and this is a fantastic introduction to her writing. The way she writes is excellent and flows seamlessly, making the picture of the small town even more real.

Sage and Fisher meant everything to me. When it came to banter, they would bounce off each other. They just fit together and were convincing both as a couple and as individuals.

I need more. I want more out of this world. I will definitely be reading more from Tarah's list of books.

While I loved this book, I will not give my full review while there is still a SMP boycott. Once the action items of the boycott are addressed, I will gladly give my full review of this book.

Spunes, Oregon is a charming, small town setting for this quirky, romance that is surprising in its emotional depth and character growth. Sage and Fisher are both living with grief and finding their way in life. I enjoyed the setup of their meeting as neighbors and creating a partnership that builds to attraction and a romance. The romance itself is a slow burn that I felt could have taken more of a front seat. Part of this stems from my expectation of this as a romance, I felt that their friendship was entirely believable but the shift to a romantic love was swift and could have used more on page development. The family relationships and side characters are well done and ultimately the ending did stick the landing with a realistic third act breakup and recognition of feelings. I enjoy Tarah’s writing and will continue to read what she writes! Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC.

I adore everything by Tarah Dewitt! She writes such complex characters, delightful banter, and deep love. Sage and Fisher are another fantastic couple and this small town romance was as delightful as I'd hoped!

Story: 4.5, rounded up to 5

I love the small town trope, I think because I have always lived in a large city. This was one done so well and brought to light so many stereotypes. I loved the story behind the town and the fact that Fisher had a bad experience but was still willing to push past for love. I strive to live my life the way I envision Sage. The punny shirts, even the "Sage Advice" journal. Loved it.

Thank you for the audio file, this is my honest opinion.

Savor It by Tarah Dewitt is a romcom story that can translate into a perfect hallmark movie that can be savored over the holidays or a cute summer beach read.

The book is set in a small town of Oregon that has festivals, a town bakery, and everyone practically knows everyone's business. Sage is a teacher who lives on a farm with a menagerie of animals and loves flowers. Fisher is a Michelin starred chef living in New York and is a guardian to his teenage niece. He is burnt out and to take a break travels to the small town. Both Sage and Fisher learn together what savoring means.

I loved Sage so much. She is exactly like her name, and in some ways, I could see myself in her. I can totally see myself living on that farm and being a gardener myself, I envy her flowers :) I appreciated the realistic representation of the relationships portrayed as well as the struggles when grief and burnt out creeps in.

Firstly, I want to say thank you to Tarah for the ARC of this beautiful and amazing story! I absolutely loved this one! I was provided the ARC through NetGalley.

I have read several of Tarah's books now and this one is up there with my favorites. Savor It was such a cute and character driven romance and I loved every second of it. Fisher and Sage meet each other at what I think is the perfect time and help each other to reinvent themselves and become their best selves with the help of one another. I seriously adore them.

Fisher shows up to the small town of Spunes, Oregon (love that the setting is in Oregon btw) with his niece and a mission when he meets Sage Byrd, his gardening and animal loving neighbor. They both help each other in so many ways and I was so drawn to their romantic relationship as well. I think Fisher and Sage fit so well together and I loved how self-aware they were. They knew how to communicate with one another and that's something I can deeply appreciate in a romance book. I also really enjoyed the fact that therapy is used in such a positive light in this book.

This book gave everything a small town romance should give and I ate it UP. A costal, small town romance is always good vibes.

Read if you love:

- Small town romance
- Dual POV
- Fake dating
- Communication
- Close proximity
- Golden retriever bf vibes

I knew this book was off to a good start when there was a Twilight reference in the beginning. Then later realized there's another as this book takes place in Spunes, Oregon (not Forks).

A cute small-town romance between a chef and a teacher. The romance was slow moving, but sweet. The two main characters communicate so well...this is the opposite of a miscommunication trope and I loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Savor is a sensory experience! It is sweet, juicy, spicy and hilarious! I love the main characters and being totally engulfed by the small town. I am finding I have a thing for the small town setting. I love feeling like I am IN this quaint place with the characters! Tarah Dewitt did a beautiful job painting the scenes without it feeling tedious to read a ton of description. It was almost like she emotionally painted the world around the Main Characters. It leaves me feeling so enraptured by the story and those in it.

Sage Byrds is just one big beating heart and it’s impossible to not fall in love with her. Fisher Lange is enamored by her from the start. They are both tender and broken, but find solace in each other. This book is both light and fun, while also fully encompassed by the biggest of feelings. There is a lot of talk about grief and loss, but it is handled beautifully and chocked full of “sage” wisdom.

This book is a GREAT summer read!

I DNF’d this book at around 30%. I felt the concept of this story sounded good, but it wasn’t done in a way I enjoyed. I’m sure there will be plenty of people that do enjoy this book when they read it, but I was not one of them.

I've loved Tarah's previous books so much, and when I love all of an author's books, it always makes me nervous because WHAT IF I DON'T LOVE THEIR NEWEST BOOK?!?!?!? And I was especially nervous because this one involves a chef, and for some reason, food/chef based books aren't my cup o' tea.

HAVE NO FEARS THOUGH BECAUSE I BECAME OBSESSED WITH THIS ONE.

Small town? Check.
Cozy yet chaotic home? Check.
A plethora of fun robes? Check.
A grumpy teen? Check.
Inept police officer brothers? Check.
A goose? Check.
An ex getting married and is all over town with their new fiance? Check.
Fake dating? Check.
Real feelings? Check.
CANOE RACING? Check.

Like, what more could I ever want in a book? It was swoony, spicy, and so heartfelt. I was obsessed. And like all of Tarah's other books, this one was full of self-discovery and moving through grief while also making room for joy! Loved.

I highly recommend this book, as well as all of Tarah's others, especially on audio, if you enjoy that. This one had dual POV and two narrators that were *chef' kiss* perfection.

“You once told me you thought you were a lot of nots. I want you to know that to me, you’re everything.”

I just loved this! The small town feels, the chemistry, the banter, the natural progression of Sage and Fisher’s relationship — it just made my heart absolutely sing! They were sooooo *delicious* and swoony together. The feelings and love between them was just radiant! I loved Indy and how she connected with Sage through her hobby farm. It also warmed my heart to see her and Fisher reconnect. This book is just so full of amazing MOMENTS! The audio narration was absolutely stunning! Love, love, love!

It was fine. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, but it wasn't what I would consider memorable or life-changing. The writing was well done, Fisher was a great leading man, Sage was entertaining and fun, and the small town vibe was lovely. I guess I'm just kind of over the whole quirky girl from a small town falls for the out of town dude set up? It's just pretty played out at this point. There wasn't really anything that set this book apart or made it unique from the numerous other similar stories I've read. And yes, I get that he's a chef and that it's literally the title of the book, but I got SO tired of the phrase "savor it" and the word "savor."

Really loved this one! Sage and Fisher were the sweetest and I loved reading their blossoming relationship. I’m a sucker for a small town romance where everyone’s in everyone’s business so was obviously in love with this one. I also loved how both characters developed so much and how they helped each other grow. This book had so much heart in it and delved into deeper topics like grief and loss. This was a 4.5 star read for me!

This was a cute romance with quirky characters and that small town vibe. This follows Gisher who used to be a big time chef but has been through some hard times and now has custody of his niece. They move to the small town of Spunes and end up in the house across the field from Sage. She is the town golden girl that everyone loves. She lives on a farm surrounded by animals. I liked the way their relationship grew throughout the book. I would have liked a little more of her friends and I sometimes felt like it was a little lust at first sight but I did especially like the character of sage.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and the publisher.

This book was so slow to start. It finally picked up over halfway through and the characters felt real and down to earth. I loved the small town scene and the festival added depth to the town. If you love a small town romance I would recommend this book
Thank you NetGalley for this Arc.
