Loved it! I'm such a huge fan of Tarah DeWitt's book and this is another winter. Savor It is a very self-aware small-town romance. It felt very real, which also giving all the dreamy, heart-warming vibes. It felt like such a treat from cover to cover.
"I think sometimes some people make us different versions of ourselves, whether we mean to let them or not."
This entire story was so heartfelt; it made me laugh out loud, brought tears to my eyes, and had so many swoon-worthy moments. The way grief was described and handled on page was beautiful and moving. Tarah’s description of this small town gives Stars Hallow vibes - just pure charm.
Sage and Fisher’s story is beautiful.
I just need you to know that he says it’s been a privilege to fall in love with Sage . . . if that doesn’t convince you to pick this up, I don’t know what will 😭
I highly recommend adding Savor It to your summer TBR 🩷
Savor It is a stand-alone contemporary romance.

Savor it by Tarah Dewitt follows Sage and Fisher in a small town of Oregon. Fisher is a recently unemployed chef who now has custody of how niece, Indy. Sage is spending her summer taking care of her always growing farm and garden.
This romance blooms as Sage inserts herself into their lives in a way that starts to help both Indy and Fisher heal. I loved the way they both helped each other heal and continued to support the other in their journeys. This story showed the pros and cons of living in a small town, which I appreciated. Most small town books make it to be this great thing when that isn’t always the case!
I will defiantly be recommending this read to my friends so thank you NetGalley for the arc!I’m
A delightful small town story, Loved the characters. Sage is such a happy person. Her cup is half full. She looks at the positive in people, places and things. He is covered in regret and failure. Taking on a teenager is another stress. All adds up to a cute store of romance and accepting change.
Loved it!
It took me a bit to get into this one, but it grew on me. I am a sucker for a grumpy/sunshine and small town romances after all.
Fisher's life is turned upside down in more ways than one and it is disheartening. You just kind of want to hug him but knows he will refuse to let you get close. Yup, he is the grump here. His niece Indy is a handful while still grieving her mother and adjusting to a life she never expected. I understood where she was coming from yet I still wanted to yell at her to stop acting out. Fisher's and Indy's jagged edges are no competition for the force that is Sage Byrd and her menagerie of animals. Like the animals Sage cannot help but take in, Fisher and Indy are in need of healing and they don't realize how much they need someone like Sage to help them mend.
Becoming neighbors eventually leads to a partnership between Sage and Fisher--she will help endear him to the locals if he helps her win the town's annual competition--that steers them toward a relationship both may not be ready to give up once summer ends.
The book is as full of laughs as it is of moments that will make you squee. The ending was one I was initially not a fan of but have come to appreciate and like even. I eventually came to the conclusion that it was one needed for all parties involved.
I am hoping DeWitt has a second chance romance in the works because I really want to see Paige's brother and her best friend Wren reconcile.
Oh how I loved this book! This is the second book I’ve read by Tarah Dewitt and I definitely plan to read all of her future books. I just devoured this book because I loved everything about it.
I loved the town of Spunes and I would love to see more books come from the town about other residents. It seemed like such a tight knit small town and I loved everything about it.
Fisher and Sage were just adorable and I loved everything about their relationship. Fisher accepted Sage as her quirky self and it was so cute.
There were some spicy scenes and they were so well written. It was *chefs kiss*.
"But you know what the bravest thing of all is? The most extraordinary thing?... To live by your own standards and no one else's. To be happy by your own measure."
This book was really good. Sage Byrd has lived in the small coastal town of Spunes her whole life. She loves her small town life, but when her ex, and town star, breaks up with her and gets engaged to someone else, she needs a win. And the perfect opportunity is the festival at the end of the summer. But, she needs a partner. Enter Fisher Lange. A hotshot chef dealing with the loss of his sister, the loss of his job, and the gain of his sister's daughter, who he is now taking care of. He comes to Spunes to consult on a restaurant opening. When he clashes with the townspeople, however, he finds himself leaning on Sage for help. They strike a deal that quickly turns into more, but the summer is rushing by faster than either wants.
"It's been a privilege to fall in love with you, Sage."
This book really was so good. I loved the small town, the emotional aspects, and the swoon worthy romance. It was well-written and so cute.
ARC REVIEW
I loved this book a great deal! I loved Fisher and Sage’s tension, slow burn, and relationship. I loved the small town vibes. I loved Tarah‘s ability to write very messy and imperfect characters that are so incredibly relatable to all of our lives, and turn it into this wonderful love story that we all hope for. Cannot recommend this book more!
Thank you Tarah DeWitt and NetGalley for sending me this eARC!
*I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*
As always, Tarah Dewitt’s writing sucks you straight into the story. I adored this small town world that she created and the atmosphere of the community felt very realistic.
I loved both Fisher and Sage and their ending was so sweet and lovely. I was so happy for them. You could feel the love that they had for each other and how gut wrenching it was for them to be apart. They are a great couple and the way they helped each other grow (from both their pasts to their present struggles) and how great they were at communicating; you can tell that their love will be forever.
I really hope we get more books set in this small town because i would love to come back and revisit both the community and check in with Fisher, Sage, and Indy.
Tropes:

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this slow burn romance that dealt with mature and maturing characters. Really deep character development in this story and loved the growth of the characters throughout. If you're a small town person, you'll love this story line.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!
This is a heartwarming tale set in Spunes, Oregon. Sage Byrd, reeling from a breakup and her ex's sudden engagement, seeks redemption by entering the town's annual Festival of Spunes. She partners with Fisher Lange, a former NYC chef grieving his sister's death and adjusting to life as his niece Indy's guardian. Their partnership, initially strategic, blossoms into romance, offering both characters a chance to heal. The story beautifully captures small-town charm, emotional resilience, and the sweetness of summer love. With delightful characters and heartfelt moments, this book is a perfect blend of romance and personal growth. It's a compelling read that will make you believe in second chances.
This was my first read by Tarah Dewitt and I absolutely adored it! I was originally drawn from both the plot and the character names. Romantic, cute, light summer read. Well done, Tarah! I’m a big fan and can’t wait to read more.

This was definitely the right book at the right time. I was smitten with Sage and Fisher from the start. I’m the rare one that loves the chase, so a slow burn romance works for me.
This one has some of my favorite things. A small town, witty banter, lovable characters and some heart warming moments. Oh yeah and some spice.
I rooted for these two from the start and the more I learned about Fisher, the more I loved him. I mean seriously he does some swoon worthy things.
Their chemistry leaps off the page and their supporting characters are just as quirky and lovable as the main two.
I thought this was going to be a sweet palate cleansing read, but I got a little choked up on more than a few occasions.
Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber knock the narration out of the park. Once I switched over to listening, I couldn’t stop. Both of them do such a great job with not only the main characters voices, but Fisher’s niece Indy. They both brought her grief out and had me wanting to hug her.
All the stars from me.
Anything Tarah writes, I devour. So well done and I feel honored to read her stuff, let alone early. Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me this opportunity. Definitely one of my top reads of the year.

Okay heres the thing, at first i was a little hesitant about reading this book because i just felt like everything was happening so fast and the plots that were occurring were only briefly talked about and some weren’t even mentioned again after. Half through the book the story did start to come together but again once we got to around 70% everything started to pick up and we were moving too fast that by the end of the book it felt as if there something lacking. Overall i did enjoy this book and i would definitely recommend if you want something cute, spicy but not too plot heavy.
Savor it was delightful! It was such a fun, small town romance. The banter and relationship between Sage and Fischer was so sweet. Perfect for a summer read!
Thank you to the author and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC!
Thank you to SMP Romance and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy and to Macmillan Audio for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.
I love a small town romance set here in Oregon. Sage has always lives in Spunes. Fisher and his niece come for the summer, so that he can establish a new restaurant and he finds his way again.
This is a lovely small town romance that truly explores the draw of small towns as well as their drawbacks. I found it insightful, as it made me truly reflect on where I live and what opportunities it opens and closes. And I loved all the descriptions of Oregon, especially the landscape, the plants and gardens, and the canoe races.
Some of this book was deeply emotional. I loved Sage and felt so deeply for her, and I wanted good things for Fisher and Indie as well. I would have liked a bit more to the ending both for the romance and a few other plot points. But overall, the story was quite enjoyable.
No surprise, Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber were absolutely fantastic at performing the audiobook. Both are favorites of mine, and they nailed all the emotion and fun of this novel.
Thank you so much to St. Martin's Press/St. Martin's Griffin and Netgalley for the audio arc, all opinions are my own.
Fisher is an ex-Michelin star chef sent to small-town Oregon to consult on a new restaurant. He is feeling down in the dumps about himself while also trying to raise his teenage niece. Sage Byrd lives in small-town Oregon, and happens to be the new neighbor. She has a small menagerie of animals and has an ex named Ian(?) Overall, I did really enjoy this book, but it did lack depth. This is just a fun small-town, tryst for the summer romance! My biggest gripe is the author specifically has Fisher coming from small-town Nebraska, but then states that he took a date to Waffle House? There are no Waffle Houses in the midwest.
This was my first Tarah DeWitt book, and it definitely won’t be my last.
Sage and Fisher are incredibly lovable, and their connection felt effortless. I loved how they were both on a healing journey and supported each other throughout. The chemistry, banter, and romance were spot on, and the spice was perfectly balanced.
I especially appreciated how well they communicated and just enjoyed being together. There were so many relatable moments that made the story feel genuine. This is the perfect small-town romance, filled with sweet and swoon-worthy moments, along with plenty of lighthearted, funny scenes.
This is a book worth savoring. 🥺
Thank you, NetGalley, Tarah, and St. Martin's Griffin, for the e-ARC!
