There was a lot I enjoyed about this! I’m not a huge fan of the massive tall man (6’5” was certainly a new one!) and I wish she’d been a bit more than ‘quirky’ but I love the small town setting and the jokes about the town’s name

Savor It is my first Tarah Dewitt book and I enjoyed her writing style! She writes characters that are relatable, funny, and sweet.

Savor it has that small town vibe I love with a dash of grumpy/sunshine, slow burn, dual POV, and so much more.

Sage is from Spunes and Fisher and his niece are there for the summer. I loved the small town vibes and how Tarah wrote it showing both the nice and not so nice parts of being in a small town.

This one made me laugh and cry. It’s a beautiful story and I recommend it to anyone.

Savor It by Tarah DeWitt is a fantastic small-town romance novel! This is my first book from the author and I was blown away. We follow Sage and Fisher who were such well-written characters. Sage is originally from the small town and Fisher is just there for the summer. They had complex backstories that you could see reflected in who they are now. I loved that their romance started with an emotional connection which made it all the better when they got together. Also, this is a slow burn which I love. You could feel their connection and friendship before the romantic relationship. Sage is such a strong female character as well because she is fully capable of doing anything she sets her mind to! The small town in this book was so cute with distinct townies that always have their fun additions to the story. I am usually a hater of third-act breakups but I felt like this one was done well and made complete sense for the story. I did not expect the last 20% of this book to have me in tears and crying by the end. It was the perfect mix of funny and emotional. I thought it was such a beautiful story!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a review!

Obsessed is an understatement! I’m going to be recommending this book to everyone! I love a good small town romance, and I was not disappointed here 🥰

Sage was such a lovely main character, and Fisher became one of my favorite MMCs to date. They had fun, lively, realistic banter and I felt like the tension/ buildup was done SO well!

Plus, a man who can speak that way AND delight in making her feel good… #Sold

This is a really delightful story about found family. It had funny moments yet almost brought me to tears at one point.

I loved the setting of a small farm. All the animals were lovely side characters. And I appreciate that it addressed the negative sides of small towns instead of glorifying them like most romance novels do.

I've read one other book by this author and I will definitely check out her others and be on teh lookout for new stuff from her.

Highly recommend.

This was definitely a character driven book. Fisher is a chef and single guardian to his niece Indy. When he hits. Cross roads in his life losing some of his reputation as chef he’s sent to a small town to sort himself out. Sage is a town native with a host of rescue animals. They spend a summer together and figure out what their priorities are and if they have dove in their heart for each other it was cute still have no idea what fishers job was for the summer

This story was such a delight to read and Ireally just "savored it' , pun intended! Sage and Fisher coming from two different paths in their lives and end up converging across a meadow, between two houses, in the town of Spunes. Sage and her family residents of the town and Fisher with his niece Indy temporarily staying in Spunes from NYC.. Sage was wonderfully earthy, fun, and sometimes very direct. You loved her approach to life and felt the connection with her character instantly. Fisher was complicated with layers that surfaced as the summer progresses and Ms. DeWitt did a magnificent job in taking us through grief and the impact it has on people . There are several very humourous interactions between Fisher, Sage and her animals, which become a character all by themselves. I love how Ms. DeWitt takes us through the growth of the relationship between Sage and Fisher, but also between Fisher and Indy. I must admit I shed tears in more than one spot in this story. A fantastic read!

Thank you #netgalley, the publisher and author for the ARC I for my honest review.

I loved this so much. Maybe I’m hormonal but I cried at the ending of this book. This was just so sweet and healthy. Sage and Fishers story was perfection. If you are looking for a story with beautiful spice (not hot but truly beautiful) a wonderful HEA and some tears this is it for you. I ate this up and didn’t want it to end.

I want the quick extended epilogue of the proposal Fisher describes. Swoon!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!! I unfortunately didn’t love this book as much as I was hoping too. By 30% into the book we were still JUST getting into the story and I felt like a lot of the first couple chapters were repetitive. That being said, I did really enjoy the small town vibes and the characters. Overall, this one was just too slow for me.

Wow, did I love this story! Fisher and his niece Indy, Sage and all her family members. I loved the story and have so many questions about Sage's brother and Wren and what happens with everyone else. I hope there's more to come but I'll be looking to read everything else this author has written.

I thought Savor It by Tarah DeWitt was a beautiful story that I wasn't expecting, The author does a great job making burnout a real issue and addressing getting help, getting out in nature, and helping to heal yourself even in the midst of stressful situations. I loved their story and can't wait to read more!

This one had everything I wanted in a romance. Small town, quirky FMC, grumpy/sunshine, great banter. Both our MC's were perfectly flawed. Which made for a realistic, easy read with a good pace. Especially with the great communication between the two. Always a refreshing factor.

Despite the hardships she faced as a child, Sage is a well rounded character with such a positive attitude. I love her farm full or rescues, in particular Gary the goose. She wears her heart on her sleeve and it creates such a loyalty from her small community.

Fisher may be a typical grump, but he has a lot on his plate (pun intended). And he's working on trying to better himself. And his relationship with his niece.

DeWitt weaves us an emotional, yet still funny story, with a good side of spice. And the title was perfect, both in regards to Fisher and Sage. This was my first book by the author but it made me love her. The writing style is on point and I'll definitely be checking out her back list. Would also to see some future books set in Spunes with each of Sage's brothers.

Big thank you to netgalley, St. Martins, and the author for my advanced copy in return for an honest review

Tarah writes some of the best slow burns. Her books feel like a warm hug. I loved this so much. I laughed out loud a lot & also got teary-eyed a few times. I've had a busy month in April so I wasn't able to get through it as fast as I usually do, but that's okay because I savored it. Every time I sat down to read this book, I enjoyed it. She writes such great tension & heartwarming moments that feel so real & raw. It's as if you're the character & feeling all their emotions. Loved this book so much.

I really enjoyed this sweet and emotional romance about finding yourself and your place in the world.

Sage and Fisher met when he rented the house next to hers in a small and quirky Oregon town. Fisher is a Michelin star chef, who is facing a crisis in career and life. He was recently fired from a job and got custody of his teen niece. Although he really wants a connection, he and his niece have a tumultuous relationship. Sage has the biggest heart and loves to care for and help those around her. She has recently been dumped by her long term boyfriend, who immediately got together with her old friend. Sage is tired of everyone pitying her and gets Fisher to help her compete in the town's summer competition.

I loved how this author balances humor and emotion. Sage’s house is a farm of misfit animals and their antics were hilarious. It was a nice balance to a relatively heavy storyline around grief. Sage is grieving the loss of her relationship. She also lost her parents very young, which enables her to connect to Fisher’s niece, who recently lost her mom.

It is also nice to see mature characters actually work through and communicate issues. I love the way Sage and Fisher open up to each other and actually discuss their issues. It is refreshing.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to read more of this author’s backlog.

3.5 Started a little slow, but then got so good for a long time…then felt a little bit to me like it was mostly about them having sex for awhile…but the ending was great. Loved Fisher and Sage…and all the side characters! I SO hope she writes a book about Ellis and Wren!

Yall I know everyone was talking about the new Abby book and yes I loved that one but I loved this one more. THIS should be on everyone's summer reading list so please pick it up. Its funny. Its quirky. It's fake dating plus small town plus somehow you will fall in love with a goose. I can't explain it other than it works. I laughed. I cried. I cried some more (and I mean that in the best way).

4.5 Stars out of 5

I will not be reviewing any more books from SMP until they have released a statement

This was so freaking cute!

Tarah Dewitt is a staple comfy romance author. I’m usually not one for overtly metaphorical stories. Ones that I call “too flowery” with their writing. But this book didn’t feel overbearing at all despite all its profoundness. In fact, I felt it was really beautiful in the way it wanted to share its story.

The story delves into topics such as grief, career burnout, and the very real adult experience of wondering what it is that makes our lives whole and worth living. Dewitt’s characters are raw, their thoughts and emotions while still being animated for the sake of a romance felt human. They snap, get angry, have preconceived notions about one another and the way Dewitt writes them overcoming their own struggles was so pure. There wasn’t one character I didn’t root for for the entirety of this book (except for Ian sometimes lol).

Sage and Fisher just have so much care and sensitivity towards each other. They fall in love in a way that’s so sweet, it could actually give me a toothache. PLUS, we always love characters who act their age! No miscommunication to be found around here folks!

Overall, Tarah keeps me coming back for more. This book showcases the couples that heal each other and push each other to be the best versions of themselves. My only critiques are that I wish I could have gotten more out of Indy! She was such a vital component in both our characters' decisions and attitudes and I just wish I got more of her and her healing process with Fisher! As well, sometimes the pacing felt a little odd.

But still a very cute and wholesome story I’d recommend if someone wants to get their fluff in!
