This is a case of right book wrong time for me. I started and struggled twice with this book and figure that it's best not to force it. The cover is lovely. It is going to be a great read for someone else.
4.5 stars
I had seen this reviewed on Instagram and have been in a bit of a slump and it sounded like the perfect book to pull me out of it and it was! I really enjoyed reading this book and my time spent in this world. The MC is such a great one and the romantic interest is a man that is flawed but still dreamy.
I'm really hoping we get another book with Wren!
Highly recommend for all, especially if you like Abby Jimenez/Christina Lauren!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for an ARC copy of this novel in exchange for my review.
I loved this Gilmore Girls coded open door romance. Big city man and small town girl, and they know it's temporary.
Uncle raising teenage niece.
Fiercely supportive of each other's goals. There's Sage, who brings Lorelai level sass but not the coffee induced speed talking, Fisher, who is so perfectly grumpy Luke...and even Rory and Jess (I mean Indy and Sam), though related to the adults, these are not Fisher and Sage's kids. But let me be clear: the story is unequivocally Sage and Fisher's.
There's an (O') Doyle who reminds me more of Taylor Doose, Wren is the perfect Sookie ...like wow. There are nosy AF siblings and neighbors...it's so Stars Hollow.
There's no miscommunication. The 3rd act breakup, I can't really call a breakup, though it is. (Yes, I'm aware that makes zero sense. Guess you need to read it to understand! 😉) And
A man who shows his feelings. Doesn't shy away from them. Who embraces them. A man written by a woman for sure, but he's imperfect, and learns from his foot-in-mouth moments. A strong woman who knows her worth, her strengths, and weaknesses.
There's migraine rep and caretaking while sick.
Oh, and the "savoring" refers to a few
And it's so well done.things that, again, you need to read to understand.
It's so good. One I'll be gifting to friends, for sure.
4.5 stars!
This is one of the sweetest small town romances I’ve read! 😍. I don’t usually go for the small town troupes, but this one really caught my attention so why not? And I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it.
It did start off slow…. Since it’s a slow burn.. but at the half way point, I FLEW through and finished it quickly! Fisher and Sage and are #couplegoals because she is such an amazing and loving and selfless person who loves ALLLLL THE ANIMALS, except gophers 😅😂
My favourite parts are the midnight meetings 😉 and their journey towards each other…. AndI love that 3rd act because I SHED TEARS PEOPLE! 🥺🥹 I know some hate it, BUT I LOVE THE GUT WRENCHING feeling.
I cant wait for you all to read it!!!

This was such a cute book!! Such a fun small town read that made me laugh, cry, and cheer on all the characters! I loved the dynamic between Fisher and Indy! I want a book all about Indy!!! I hope this becomes a series!!
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this E-arc for my honest review.
A beautiful story that was also humorous. Well-written with relatable characters. You will laugh and cry throughout.
Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC
Wow. Tarah Dewitt does it again.
I’ve loved all her books so far but this one… phew… this one takes the cake for me. (Pun intended? Maybe. Probably.)
Sage is so aggressively lovable and funny and did I already mention that this book is laden with puns? Definitely my love language.
Fisher is genuine and a little bit tortured and leans right into life, which he doesn’t seem to see and I think it’s very relatable.
I love the small town dynamics though I wouldn’t have minded more of it! I always love a good thread of food throughout.
Spice level is one you expect from her books. Nothing crazy but a good amount.
Overall a sweet story line with lovable, relatable characters that definitely made me cry XD
This was my first Tarah Dewitt book but it definitely won’t be my last. It was such a sweet, special little read. I loved every single character even in their bad moments. They were just sweet cinnamon rolls and I wish I knew them in real life. I loved the setting of Spunes, too. I would totally read more books set in that town. My one kind of negative note is that I felt like the timeline of the relationship was strange. Like it was building slowly and then all of the sudden I kind of felt like they were obsessed with each other. But there were no premature declarations of love so it was not that big of a deal. Just threw me off a bit. The ending made me cry both happy and sad tears so overall I have to say I loved it!
While I have liked this author's work in the past, I don't think this was written for me. The vernacular used seemed far above my head at times, and I found myself skimming through the inner monologues or long backstories. I also couldn't connect with either main character. I will pick up this author's work again, but this book was just not for me.
Probably one of my top Tarah Dewitt books to be honest. The tropes? DELISH! Ate it up! I so enjoy the authors ability to write rom coms that aren’t trying too hard.
Savor It by Tarah DeWitt is a very sweet and heartwarming small town contemporary romance. This book delves into so much more than romance though, also incorporating experiencing grief, finding yourself and your own happiness, and how short life can really be. I could read this book all day and it would still be so perfect! I loved all the characters, especially our main couple - Sage and Fisher. The romance, banter, and intimacy between Sage and Fisher is just so beautiful! I could feel their emotions as I read this book and the end of their story is absolutely perfect!
This book releases on May 21st and you should definitely check it out if you love small town romances, grumpy sunshine, friends to lovers, neighbors, faking dating, single parenting, and some precious banter between our main couple
This book gets 4.5 stars from me and I will absolutely be re-reading it!
Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and Tarah DeWitt of the chance to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you NetGally, Tarah DeWitt, and St. Martin's Press for the read in exchange for an honest review. Always such a pleasure to read Tarah's stories! I am so lucky to have received an advanced copy of Savor It, and I truly loved every second of it. The slow burn between Sage and Fisher just kept me wanting more and it really pulled at my heartstrings throughout the entire story.
Ahh this book touched my heart!! Sage is the quirky protagonist who is reeling from her friend and ex-boyfriend getting together and engaged in a year. Fisher arrives in Spunes to escape from his own life and is trying to get his life back together in the process. But as the summer goes on, he becomes more integrated into the small town. Fisher and Sage just understand each other in a way that's unmatched. I really loved the way they communicate with each other - it leaves no room for any misunderstandings that a lot of romance books have, and it makes them stronger as a couple. I thought the ending came together really well, and it was great to see how their lives changed/developed in the last chapter. I loved the writing. At times, it made me laugh out loud; other times, the words and descriptions were heartbreakingly beautiful. It was the perfect romance!
I love Fisher and Sage and I fell in love with the town! I also want to see more of Indy and Sam's story in the future hopefully.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC!
Ever so charming and romantic. 🤍 Thank you @smpromance for the earc of Savor It!🤍
This story captivated me immediately and I honestly couldn’t put it down! It’s definitely a new favorite from Tarah DeWitt!
Life in a small town comes with its challenges, with all eyes on local Sage after a breakup, she wants to redirect that attention.
Fisher is a new chef in town, something the citizens aren’t keen on and he needs help getting the approval of this community.
What follows is a story of overcoming hardships, of seeing the beauty despite the messy, and learning that small doesn’t always mean confining. Plus throw in some fantastic 🔥 and I was swooning.
If you love
• lots of animal love
• canoeing competition
• a chef
• lots of chemistry
• lovable side characters

I can't believe how amazing this book is. This was the first book by this Author that I have read and I was so happy to receive an ARC of it!
Small town feel, love blossoming in a place you would least expect and all those tropes you would love!! I have to save my true feelings about this for my video and also when the book releases because I don't want to give away spoilers!!! But goodness grief it was so freaking good!
Thanks to Netgalley & St. Martin's Press for the E-ARC! Loved this book! The characters were so cute & I really enjoyed the setting. Beautifully written. Definitely will read more from this author.
Tara Dewitt never disappoints and Savor It was absolutely no exception! When I saw this was available on NetGalley I almost broke my keyboard trying to request it ASAP. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.
This book was everything I hoped it would be - it felt like a warm summer day in the countryside at my grandma's house. The windows are open, breeze blowing curtains gently and rustling through the gardens outside. The sun is warm on your skin and you can hear the chatter of birds and farm animals. Pie is baking in the kitchen, and all is right in the world. THAT is the vibe of this book. Like a big warm hug (but also keep a box of tissues nearby because like all really good hugs, it might make you cry a bit).
This book is big city single father (kinda) meets small town woman; they fall in love as small town shenanigans ensue. Tarah Dewitt always pays so much attention to not just her main character's personalities and quirks, but makes sure to give every side and supporting character dimension as well. This book is brimming with personality and life lessons, and I cannot recommend it enough.
It did move a bit slower than some of her other books, and so I struggled a bit in the middle, but that might be someone else's cup of tea, so don't let that stop you!
Ah! A more perfect summer romance, I’m not sure you’ll find. This is my first Tarah Dewitt, but it won’t be my last.
Who’s cutting onions in here?! This was my first Tarah DeWitt book but if they’re all this good, I’ll be reading more! I loved the fake dating turned lovers, the banter, the laughs, and the relationships of all the people in their small town. Really enjoyed this one!
I only said not to adopt this book for my classroom because of the level of spice! I personally loved it, but I don’t think it’s appropriate for high school students!
