A love story spanning almost a decade, with the beginning of summer bringing two souls together and the end tearing them apart…almost like my heart as I read this. What an emotional romance. Liv and Finn went through so much- the will they, won’t they had me continuously rooting for them and then thinking they might be better apart on the very next page. This story really showcased that love isn’t always easy, love isn’t always kind, and love isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Love is love and you’ve got to go with where it takes you.

Paige Toon is an author that I have tuned into the last few years as she has a way of pulling you into her stories so easily.
Seven Summers is based on two characters who meet in their early years and meet up every summer when they are in the same town. One day the main FMC meets another man and has to make the decision of whom she would rather spend her life with.
This story was an emotional page turner and I loved it.

Paige Toon will now be an auto buy author for me. I’ve loved 2 other books plus this one as well. I love how Liv and Finn were together, but also Liv and Tom. This book is a little heartbreaking, but comes full circle.

This was my first book by Paige Toon and I’m excited to go back and read everything she’s written! This book could’ve been really predictable and cliche but somehow it wasn’t. I loved the setting, the characters, and the long arch of their love story. This book had me crying and aching and feeling nostalgic— a perfect romance.

Get in the nostalgic summer mood with Paige Toon’s latest release Seven Summers. Set to be released on May 21st, this novel's dual timelines will have you enthralled in our main character’s story.
This was one of those books where if I put it down, I procrastinated picking it back up again, but once I started reading it again, I got sucked straight into the story!
This story is about grief and finding your way through the dark times in your life, but also not letting them define you too much.
I felt myself torn between which MMC I loved more, but ultimately, I think Toon crafted a story that perfectly encompasses the complexity of real life and how unpredictable it can be, yet also how sometimes people enter our lives for the right reasons but at the wrong times, and whether or not the right time comes along, it still stays with us and helps us grow as people.
The setting of summertime being a feeling time of the year plays perfectly with the themes of the novel and I think Toon crafts a masterful story that really showcases a true human experience.
*I received an ARC from Random House in exchange for my honest opinion.

Read if you like emo romances, right person/wrong time, second chance romances, beach settings. Reminded me of Love and Other Words and November 9 but did not like it as much as those. Still a good romance! Easy and binge worthy!

Seven Summers was a cute romance, light and easy to read. Perfect to read at the beach or on vacation. Mindless book to read in between some of the tense thrillers. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance reader copy of this book!

I absolutely love everything that Paige Toon, and Seven Summers did not disappoint. This author makes you feel what the characters are going through and you take the journey to love, happiness and even heartache with them.

3.8 out of 5 stars! Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam/GP Putnam's Sons for this eARC of Seven Summers by Paige Toon.
I am sorry for the delayed response! I LOVE Paige Toon! This was an overall good read, and it is about a woman who reflects on her past relationships and her journey. The romance was super cute but pretty predictable. I would recommend this as a beach book where you can enjoy it on vacay, escape a little bit from reality, and leave you feeling in a cute state. Pretty easy read too if you have an active day and just want to read something cute on the kindle before bed.
Rounding it up to 4 stars because it's a cute story. I would recommend it to my friends who don't have time to read a lot.

I think I really need to stop trying to read second chance romances I can never stand the characters and it just ruins it for me. In this book we follow Liv and Finn when they are young before Finn makes it big and moves to LA. After that the two have summer flings for years until Finn becomes engaged and Liv meets Tom. Liv is left with a choice letting go of her past love to try finding love with someone new. This book had a beautiful story and I loved the writing my problem I didn’t like Liv and Finn together and the whole book I was wanting more Tom. With that said I thought this was a great book but not a trope that works for me. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book for an honest review.

This was a great romance read that has depth and character development! It was a very raw and emotional read that breaks your heart then puts it back together. I enjoyed the authors writing style and ability to write characters and their development. I also enjoyed the pacing of the book!

**Review of *Seven Summers* by Paige Toon**
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5 stars)
*Seven Summers* by Paige Toon is a heartwarming, yet bittersweet romance that spans years of love, heartbreak, and personal growth. The story follows a woman as she reflects on her past relationships over seven summers, each marking a significant turning point in her life. Toon’s writing is engaging and emotional, making it easy to connect with the protagonist and her journey.
However, while the premise is compelling, the pacing of the book feels uneven at times, with some sections dragging on longer than necessary. The romantic elements are sweet, but the plot can feel somewhat predictable, and I found myself wanting more depth in the character development. The themes of love and loss are explored, but the emotional payoff didn’t fully resonate with me.
Overall, *Seven Summers* is an enjoyable read with some emotional moments, but it lacks the intensity or unpredictability that could elevate it further. It’s a good option for fans of contemporary romance, but it may not leave a lasting impression for those seeking a more complex or unique story.

This book was just “meh” for me. I felt like I was reading it because I had to finish it instead of reading it because I wanted to finish it. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was.

THis story takes us through Liv and Finns releationp for seven Summers. It is an ok story. I had a hard time associating with the carachters,

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was glad to give it a try. I love summer romances because they remind me of my younger days. I really enjoyed the pace of this book at the beginning, but around the 70% mark, I started to want it to pick up. It did end up picking up. Spoiler Alert: I was worried that Tom was going to be the driver that caused her parent's car accident, or I thought he was going to be Finn's long lost half brother, but none of those were true. I feel like the epilogue was super long, and it felt rushed. I was actually ok with the epilogue being rushed because I was ready to wrap up this story. I think we could have gotten the same story if this was called Five Summers, but of course, that doesn't roll off the tongue the way Seven Summers does. I think Tom was the best character in the book, and I found myself being annoyed with Liv's self centered-ness. All these descriptions make it seem like I didn't like the book, but I do give it 4 stars and would recommend it to my friends.

This was such a beautifully bittersweet read. This story captured the true essence of love and the journey we go on when we fall. I would be lying if I said this book didn't tear me up but I loved it all the same—heartbreaking as it was at times.

Liv and Finn meet six summers ago working in a bar on the rugged Cornish coastline, their futures full of promise. When a night of passion ends in devastating tragedy they are bound together inextricably. But Finn’s life is in LA with his band, and Liv’s is in Cornwall with her family—so they make a promise. Finn will return every year, and if they are single they will spend the summer together.

Seven Summers by Paige Toon is pure magic—filled with nostalgia, heartfelt emotions, and a romance that tugs at all the heartstrings. If you’re a sucker for second chances and sun-soaked vibes, this one’s a must-read!

Wonderful story, great character development, great writing! Highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it

If you need a great book for the new year to help you get ready for light reading and a summer coming up in a few months this is the book to read. I highly recommend it. I love the character development and how the author wrote about each character.
