Another winner from Paige Toon! I love her use of characters that feel realistic and relatable - you grow so fond of these protagonists and can't help but continue to root for them. Her writing is beautiful and always tugs at my heart strings. I loved watching the characters interact each summer and grapple with their choices. This one is definitely a roller-coaster for your emotions but is a story I will not soon forget.

Paige Toon has quickly become one of my new favorite authors. I see her name on a book and quickly find myself requesting it.
Seven Summers is a beautiful, albeit heartbreaking read. Liv and Finn seem destined from the beginning to constantly be surrounded by grief and loss. And they are also separated by an ocean. Can they work through the distance and their own insecurities and heartbreaks to be together? Or are they even meant to?
There is just so much about this book that I can't get into. It's a hard read at times but it's well worth it. If you don't mind using a box of tissues and losing more than a few tears, give this one a chance. It's truly a beautiful story and pulls at the heartstrings time and time again. It's life at it's most real and raw.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

What a great summer read. Wow. I truly and thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had the perfect amount of romance / heartbreak. Love triangle elements but none of the drama. I love sweet books with happily ever afters. Highly recommend

So many feels! You are sent an emotional roller coaster right along with the main character. The whole story actually spans well more than seven years. I felt many different ways about her love interest met in the beginning of the book. At one point I didn’t really want them to end up together, I had a different desire for how it all ended, and have mixed feelings about what really happened.

SEVEN SUMMERS by Paige Toon is my first read of hers, and will certainly not be my last!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers, PENGUIN GROUP Putnam | G.P. Putnam's Sons, for the ARC which I received in exchange for my honest review.
SEVEN SUMMERS tells the story of Liv and Finn, who meet in Cornwall and spend part of every summer together, getting to know one another, falling in love, sharing grief and loss, trying to figure out if they can have something that lasts for more than a few weeks a year. This will they, won't they love story was enjoyable - I loved the cast of characters, really enjoyed the setting and the music references, and I enjoyed most of the plot. Some of the plot devices in the very end of the book were not my favorite and prevented me from truly loving this book. Toon's writing is lovely and I will absolutely be exploring her back catalogue, along with watching out for any new books.

Seven Summers by Paige Toon was full of heartbreak and hope. It took me longer than expected to read this book. What I thought was going to be a light-hearted beach read surprised me. The story is about a woman named Liv and her experiences with heartbreak and grief. Her story is about finding love and losing it and finding it again. Through her grief and heartbreak, she also finds herself through her art and through her work. Her devotion to her brother is touching. I enjoyed this book. I'd give this book a 3.75 star rating round up to 4. Thank you, netgalley, for sharing this book with me in exchange for my honest review.

What the heck? Everyone loved this but I am annoyed by the ending. I read this in two days and enjoyed most of it. I kept wondering how Liv would choose between her two love interests. What would then solution be? And the answer is, with a cheap epilogue. I thought I finished the book and then the entire ending changes in the long epilogue. That just didn't sit well with me and it seemed like an easy out for her to figure it out.

If you are looking for a summer romance to take to the beach or to get you in the mood for summer, look no further. Paige Toon has a way of taking readers on an emotional rollercoaster and leaving them feeling so satisfied at the end. I love her books! This one is actually my new favorite. The story follows Liv and Finn who met 6 summers ago while they worked in a bar on the Cornish coast. But now, Finn lives in LA and is a musician, and Liv is in Cornwall, keeping an eye on her family and working at the bar. Finn and Liv cross paths for seven summers and the book goes back and forth in the timeline. Then Liv meets Tom, and the course of her summers change a bit. Such a sweet, heartfelt love story and I loved every minute!

It's absolutely stunning!! Paige has a way with words, and it hits me right in the heart. This story was beautifully written, and the character progression was so well done. I liked the twists and turns that led to sad and happy endings. I loved the time frame layout of the chapters and brought more to the storyline. I would highly recommend to all my romance lovers out there who like real, raw love that doesn't always go as intended.

This book wrecked me in this best way. Paige Toon is a genius. Every book of hers I want to read and then reread. I loved the course of time told throughout the novel. The journey the reader travels with the characters. READ THIS. You will not regret it.

Paige Toon, you had no business coming out with a book this good.. don’t get me started on the emotional roller coaster I was on… Fin and Liv have a special place in my heart! I can’t even begin to describe the chokehold this book had on me.. 10/10 recommend to all my friends! Thank you for the ARC!

Love! Love! Love!
I truly enjoyed the character building and the story line. Thank you. It had me on an emotional roller coaster.

One of my absolute favorite tropes is the summer love year after year. Paige Toon has perfected this in Seven Summers, as she follows Liv and Finn through the ups and downs over seven summers. I love seeing how the characters, and their relationships, change, develop, and grow over the years. If you want a dreamy beach read with a touch of realness, this is your book!

A very endearing story full of grief and second chances. I loved the use of intertwining timelines to show each characters progression. There were so many characters I absolutely fell in love with. My heart was broken several times over which only made me appreciate the story even more.
I recommend this read to lovers of How to Kill a Rockstar by Tiffanie DiBartolo and Summer Island by Kristin Hannah.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC publication for an honest review.
I am a fan of Paige Toon. She has a way of emotionally manipulating your heart into breaking, but then putting it back together again. I fully enjoyed this newest writing. There is a lot of dealing with grief and life circumstances that keeps our main couple, Finn and Liv, apart. While it is an interesting concept, the flashback of their past summers gives you only a snippet of their relationship. And I really did not like the fact that some of those "off seasons" of separation there was no contact until summer. The summers Finn and Liv were together held so much promise for something beautiful and permanent. Sadly, neither one would be brave enough to make the move to cement their relationship together in one place. The NOW chapters was the building of Liv's new relationship with Tom. I'm not a love triangle fan, but I enjoyed both of our love interests. Tom was a solid guy, but the connection felt instantaneous...then it was love, and the entire relationship felt at warp speed...and while we had a sad end for the secondary love story, I hate to admit, I didn't cry. I think I invested too much of my emotions to the Finn and Liv aspect of the book and Tom (though I liked him!) felt like a consolation prize and Finn was always going to be the end game. The epilogue does give a complete full circle and a happily ever after for our original couple, but it also felt rushed.
Still, I am a fan and look forward to the next book!

Paige Toon does it again!! What a crazy rollercoaster ride! I love every character in this book! Especially Michael even though he isn't a main character. People with DS always bring joy to every situation. I didn't want to see it end but I'm very happy with the ending. One main thing was when I thought I hit the peak/plot twist, I WAS WRONG! So happy that Tom didn't cause the deaths of Liv's parents. I read that part which pumping gas and he guy next to me look at me to see if I was okay. Thank to you NetGalley and Random House UK for giving me the opportunity to read Seven Summers. I first fell in love with Paige Toon when I read Only Love Can Hurt Like This so when I saw Seven Summers as a "read now" I didn't hesitate to click that button.

Seven Summers by Paige Toon should be on your beach read list for the summer. This is my second novel by this author and it did not disappoint. Seven Summers takes us literally through seven summers. It basically is the journey of Liv and Finn, who meet while working at a bar in Cornwall, England in their early twenties. As first love is they are magnetically drawn to each other. Sadly it is the age old story of the right person, wrong time. Finn lives in America and there is an ocean between them. They each have big dreams regarding their future and careers. Unfortunately for Liv and her disabled brother life gets more complicated when a horrific tragedy occurs at the end of the summer. This tragedy strengthens the bond between the two star crossed lovers. Finn returns each summer and this begins their seven year affair which spans over the next six summers. Here comes the tough part. Liv has to make a choice. She falls in love with Tom, a charming man who is willing to drop everything to build a life with her in Cornwall,
The pacing of the story was good. My only issue was the first few summers took almost 2/3 of the book and then the last summers felt rushed. There definitely is a bouncing back and forth between the previous summers and the present. I would have preferred the ending to be less crammed into a pretty fast epilogue. After the journey with these characters I felt that it needed a bit more of an ending.
The setting was delightful. I felt completely in the moment and Ms. Toon’s descriptions of the Cornish seaside were particularly lovely. The characters were all well developed. You can feel their happiness, disappointment, pain, hurt, worry, concern and love. For Liv, the protagonist, you find yourself rooting for her and her happy ending time and again.
While I commented early about this being on your beach read list for summer I will warn you there are a few times where you might need the tissues. Ms. Toon has a wonderful talent and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!
I would like to thank Ms. Toon, Penguin Group Putnam and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Seven Summers by Paige Toon is a heavy hitting contemporary romance.
I liked this book a lot. I felt for our main female character Liv. She experiences a tragic loss early in the book and that sets the stage for a long distance romance. We follow Liv and Finn. They meet the summer tragedy hits Liv but they do not live in the same country. So they promise to see each other every summer if they are both still single. For only seeing each other a week or two a year it is hard for me to believe the relationship would last as long as it did. Yet, as a reader I couldn't help but want to see them together.
Then Liv experiences yet another loss and Finn is there again to help her through it.
For me, the time line of this summer compared to the second, third, fourth, fifth, summers was too long. I felt like I was in a time warp and every summer seemed the same until it didn't. Then it picked up and got interesting. I know that had to happen in order to develop the romance between Finn and Liv but it didn't seem realistic after a while.
Then ending was sweet and wrapped up nicely. I was happy to see it even if it did all fall into place a little too easily.
I appreciate that the romance scenes were fade to black and not descriptive. There was some language but not a ton.

This is a heart wrenching emotional beautiful love story. I felt so many emotions while reading this book but it was so worth it. Author Paige Toon did a wonderful job telling this story
2nd chance
Love triangle
Disability Rep
Small town
Grief
Loss

I don't typically like love triangles, but this is an example of multiple loves and right person wrong time. Love that this actually goes through time of 7 summers and carries the idea of long distance friends getting strung along. The epilogue should have been baked out as part of the full book rather than rushed to be wrapped up. Every potential "what happened with..." got wrapped up in the epilogue.
