I really enjoy books by this author and this one did not disappoint. Dani has been sheltered ever since her uncle took her in but with a few events her world suddenly turns upside down. Now she has to find out what happened early in her life and how it is causing chaos now. I liked the characters and liked seeing mentions of previous characters of the series. This one can stand alone though.

Wow! Fatal Witness kept me guessing right along with the main characters for the entire story! Every time I thought I had this story figured out, Bradley through another wrench into the mix – or another bomb at heroes.

I definitely didn’t want to see them blow up, because while Bradley penned the perfect amount of mayhem into this story, I really liked the world she built. As the second book in the Pearl River series, Fatal Witness takes us back to Pearl Springs, Tennessee, and into the community of law enforcement people we met in Counter Attack, and I loved that. These people are kind and funny with a long history and fascinating geography, and this all works together to create a really neat story world. Bradley ties this all together masterfully.

Stories with strong characters and twisty plots are my favorite, and Bradley nails that with Fatal Witness. It’s a really entertaining book to read, and I can’t wait to see what Bradley brings to Pearl Springs next.

I like this soft romantic suspense and enjoyed the cold case this story spins and particularly how it teases us to guess the whodunit from the time Dani reaches Pearl Springs till we finally have the answer at the closing page. What a surprise finding out. The characterization is well done and the romance is very clean, no graphic sex. The language is polished and the smooth prose moves along with a steady stroke. Mixed with the suspense and romance is a message of faith as well. Of course why not please animal lovers; we have 2 loveable K9 to entertain us: one a police dog and the other a loveable mutt. Every page is filled with exciting action

Of course my thoughts are only a snippet of the activities going on. The experience is entertaining and passing time with this story enjoyable. It’s a page turner and not a taxing read. Well-said and well-done.

Fatal Witness is the second book in the Pearl River series but could definitely be enjoyed just fine as a standalone without any confusion, I think.

This book opened with a bang! It grabbed my attention right away and did a great job of keeping it throughout the story. When we meet Dani as an adult, she is living in Montana where she had been with her very overprotective uncle for the last 25 years, with no memories of her life before that point. When her picture is posted in a pottery magazine, it opens up a can of worms... introducing her to a family she didn't remember and an unsolved murder that's coming back to haunt her. It was an intriguing story and wonderfully executed. We were given a lot of potential suspects and as such, it kept me guessing through until the end. There were some things I saw coming and others that took me by complete surprise.

Mixed in with this suspense, there was also some romance and a great message of faith as well. It all blended together wonderfully to form a story that I really enjoyed. If you love Christian romantic suspense, this is definitely one you'll want to check out.

I totally enjoyed this latest book by Patricia Bradley. She checks all the right boxes with suspense, heart-stopping action, a light touch of romance, faith, family, and mystery. Dani does not remember her life before moving to the Badlands of Montana with her uncle at the age of nine. Twenty-five years later, she is convinced against the wishes of her uncle to return to Pearl Springs, Tennessee, in the mountains north of Chattanooga where her grandmother still lives. Her grandmother lives on Eagle Ridge outside of Pearl Springs. For some reason, it seems any time she gets near Eagle Ridge, someone starts shooting at her or the person she is with. Part of me kept thinking it was too dangerous for her to go near that ridge, while another part is telling me there must be something up there worth finding, even though nothing was found years earlier. Dani keeps struggling to remember what happened the night her parents were murdered. Trying as hard as she can to remember, only faint fleeting memories cross her mind, just enough to make her think something will come back to help crack the case. Readers doubtless will get drawn into the case, thinking they have figured out who is responsible, but their guesses will probably miss the mark. The author kept me turning pages, losing sleep, and grabbing every free moment to keep plowing ahead, trying to figure things out and make some sense of why anyone would seek to harm Dani who was only a nine-year-old when everything went down. If she could not remember anything after twenty-five years, it seems quite unlikely that she will remember anything now. I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. This book is packed with action and I did not want to put it down. I definitely recommend this book. It is technically the 2nd book in the series but I didn't realize it and read this one first and it was great. I will for sure go back and read that first book though!

Never read this author before but will definitely be reading more of her books. I couldn't put this book down it kept you guessing right till the end . A fantastic read .

Nice characters, lots of suspense, a little romance, traumata in the past, faith and forgiveness - it's a well known mixture and well done it always works.
The nice thing about those series is that we get to know the whole little town.

4.5 stars for this romantic suspense novel from Patricia Bradley. This is the 2nd book in the Pearl River series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone. However, fans of the first book will be glad to catch up a bit with Alex and Nathan again. This was an enjoyable ride that hit the ground running. When Danielle Bennett was 9 years old, she was witness to the murder of her parents, but she doesn't remember a thing. Now 25 years later, she finds herself in the killer's crosshairs once again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cold case aspect of this story and guessing whodunit kept me turning pages. I did not see the ending coming on this one at all. There was good character development as Dani as an adult has to face some fears to try to regain her memories. There is a good faith thread as well, as she is introduced time and again to the faith of those around her and a verse from the Psalms helps to keep her calm during the most intense parts of the story. The romance piece moved a bit quicker than I like, but was on par with a typical romantic suspense novel. I really enjoyed the K9 element to this story as well, not only with the police dog, but Dani also had a dog whose personality played right in to the story. If you enjoy inspirational romantic suspense, this is one I can definitely recommend.

Fatal Witness by Patricia Bradley is the second novel in the Pearl River series but can be read as a standalone. It was full of suspense and mystery from the first page. I enjoyed seeing some characters from the first novel and getting to catch up with them. The characters in this novel were nice but I felt like they could have been a little more fleshed out. The romance aspect was very mild and could have been a little deeper but I read this type of novel for the suspense not the romance so that wasn't a big deal to me. I suspected who the culprit was from the moment they were introduced on the page but it didn't really detract from the story. This was one of those books where you could feel danger lurking and I was constantly waiting for the next thing to go wrong. A good book that I'd recommend.

This book was so intense! It hooked me from the begining and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through.
I loved these characters and how well they complimented eachother. The plot line was well written and easy to follow, but with enough twists and turns to keep me guessing.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

I usually listen to my books on Kindle. It has the text to speech function. This book was only available in audio in Danish. I'm glad that I decided to read it anyways. Kept me guessing throughout then made me gasp when the killer is revealed. I actually had to walk away from my Kindle. Wow, just wow!

Fatal Witness takes the reader on an emotional, thrilling adventure! It is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end and is filled with heart pounding drama. It has just the perfect amount of romance mixed in.

Pottery artist Dani Collins has no memory of her childhood before the age of nine. An article in a magazine sends her life into a tailspin and brings her back to Pearl Springs where her parents were murdered. Her parents killer was never caught and as Dani’s memories return, it puts her life in danger.

K-9 Officer Mark Lassiter feels responsible for bringing Dani into danger after tracking her down at the urging of her grandmother. As he tries to keep Dani safe and remember her past, he is faced with coming to terms with his own.

This book can be read as a stand alone but is an excellent addition to the series. It is full of enduring characters and I loved getting to reconnect with the characters from book one and meet new ones.

This is an excellent series and that keeps you engaged until the very end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Why do all the poor Grandmas in these books have something happen to them? Two? Books ago or maybe three, but in the other series that poor Grandma was hurt and in the hospital now this one was attacked?! Justice for the poor Grandma's in these books! And maybe a new plot line for them.

Fatal Witness by Patricia Bradley is book 2 of 2 in the Pearl River series. It works well as a standalone, but with only two books, why not read both?

I knew as soon as I was approved to read an advance reader's ebook copy through NetGalley that I would need a few days off; otherwise, I would be on pins and needles wanting to get back to the story as quickly as possible when I had other things--like work--that I had to do. It only took me 2 days reading straight through to finish, and what a story!

I loved the characterization that was so well done, I felt as if knew the people in the story. On the other hand, with a book like this you never know which seemingly good person is actually a murderer, so that's always a bit of an issue! In this case, my absolute favorites were everything they appeared to be.

I also really enjoy when a book is neatly wrapped up the end with a conclusion that makes sense and the guilty party appears in the story more often than just as a passer by. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

This is definitely a five star book.
