I enjoyed this mystery/romance. It wasn’t as heavy on the mystery as some and I liked the setting and families that the author built this story around. I became invested in quite a few characters and hope to see their stories in future books. The faith was woven throughout the book and I always enjoy a story with good faith elements.

Everyone in Gossamer Falls has a story. Never Fall Again is Cal and Landry's tale. I loved the way they tried to deny their feelings for each other. The romance was sweet but not over done. I also enjoyed the suspense element. I was impressed with the way Ms. Blackburn created a faith journey that included having her characters pray together. All in all a great book. I am looking forward to reading book 2 in the Gossamer Falls series. I really want to know the other peoples stories!
This book calls for a pitcher of sweet tea and a porch swing!
I was given a copy of Never Fall Again with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.
Never Fall Again is another great story by Lynn H. Blackburn.
Landry is a widow with a little girl who is leery of anyone trying to help her and her daughter, especially since she was in an abusive marriage.
Cal is a guy who wants to help, but since he's been burned by another woman, he's not wanting to get his heart broken again
Add in arson, and Landry being targeted by someone out to get her, and you've got a great romantic suspense story. And the ending!! Did not see that coming.
I can't wait for her next book.
This is a fun start to a new series!
I'll admit that the beginning of this novel was a bit rocky for me. I guess it's because there are so many new characters to meet. It felt like it took a while to get going. The pacing at the beginning is just a bit slow. However, I really liked Landry and Cal, and I wanted to see what would happen with them, in addition to Landy's adorable daughter. I did suspect right away that Landry was in danger (I'lm sure we are supposed to). I love the town of Gossamer Falls, especially as someone who grew up in the NC mtns!
The characters have experienced trauma in their pasts, which impact their ability to move forward in the present. I enjoyed following along their journeys.
After the somewhat slow beginning, the pacing ratchets up in a great way.
I also enjoyed the theme of what it means to (truly) live a Christian life.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This was a good story but formulaic. It was slightly predictable but not enough to stop reading. Most people would still enjoy reading it.
Never Fall Again by Lynn H. Blackburn
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Landry Sutton and her daughter, Eliza, have live the last three years rebuilding their lives behind the gates of The Haven. Landry has a successful pottery business and things are going well for them. Landry hires Callum Shaw to build them a home on the edge of the Haven’s property. Landry and Cal both have reasons to not get involved in another relationship. When Landry’s studio burns to the ground in a suspicious fire, her and Eliza begin to fear for their lives, but who is responsible?
A beautifully written novel that really pulled me in. The story wasn’t overdone and, even with a lot of characters, it was so easy to keep track of everyone. This read was refreshing in the sense that it wasn’t full of foul language and even included the author’s faith. A new must buy author for me.
The first in a new series ('Gossamer Falls'), starts off slowly but ended in a book I didn't want to put down. I enjoyed the characters, the mystery of other characters and what their backstory was and the family aspect.
The bad guy was a surprise. It was great to see both characters working to overcome their past. I think if story had been super fast paced, it would have sacrificed character development. I liked that the characters communicated throughout the book.

This book draws you in from the beginning; you feel like you are part of the warm-hearted welcoming families involved. There’s danger (from whom?), romance, faith, and more! The characters grow to trust each other; but will they be able to leave their fears behind. I loved Landry and Cal’s story and look forward to reading the next book!
A slow start but a great book. Romance with some suspense. Loved the romance between Cal and Landry.
A great start to a new series. I loved Cal and Landry and her daughter. There are a lot of friends and family to get to know so I can’t wait for the next book.
“Never Fall Again” was another great romantic suspense by Lynn Blackburn. This one started off a little slow for me as I was being introduced to a good bit of new characters. There are a lot of people in this family! lol! I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters. And this one ended with a twist that I really didn’t see coming. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy good, clean romantic suspense novels.
I received this book from the publisher through NetGaley for my honest opinion.
Gossamer Falls book #1
A Romance Novel
This story is set in a fictional mountain town in North Carolina where Landry Hutton, a window and single mother to a five year old daughter, Eliza, set roots after moving from Arizona. They live at The Haven, an exclusive resort where Landry creates and set pottery. But what seemed to be a sweet and peaceful place at first glance may not prove to be so.....
Landry wants to give her daughter a safe home to grow up in and hires Callum Shaw to handle the construction. But in Gossamer Falls there is family feud between neighbours that is raging on and her arrival just adds fuel.....
I read a few books by this author and I enjoyed them quite a bit, this latest is a soft mystery that takes it merry time to move along and gives us a quick romance to spice the atmosphere. This town has a deep family history and the backstory alludes to a wide range of troubles between clans. The squabbles of the past are affected the present but eventually things worked out. Landry and Callum although had been hurt by their relationship in the past were attracted to each other and their slow romance was what made this story interesting. Of course the mystery was good to follow: strange and dangerous occurrences, including fire, break-in and kidnapping but who wanted to destroy “The Haven” and Landry’s studio? ...Finding out was a big surprise.... but what happened to the bad guy? No answer there...I didn’t see myself on the edge on my seat biting my nails here but rather keeping my mind from wandering too much. As for the characters I loved their sense of humour.
Although a good story it wasn’t my favourite by this author.
Every time I pick up a Lynn H. Blackburn book, I know I am in for an exciting suspense read, and Never Fall Again definitely lived up to that expectation.
This one did get off to a bit of a slower start, which could have just been my mood... or it being the first book in the series, there were just a lot of new characters to wrap my brain around. Either way, it didn't take long at all for me to find myself completely drawn into this story. The suspense was wonderfully done... it wasn't a suspense that was super intense, high action throughout, but enough to keep me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. It definitely kept me guessing throughout and I felt it definitely all paid off in the end.
I adored the romance between Cal and Landry... they both had histories that made them hesitant to enter a new relationship, so I really enjoyed watching them learn to trust one another and open up in the end. There was also a beautiful feeling of home and family throughout this story that really has me looking forward to the next in the series too.
If you enjoy a good Christian romantic suspense, this is definitely one to check out.
**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.
This book is incredible. From the mystery to the romance to the humor… I could hardly put it down. Lynn Blackburn did it again. I was on the edge of my seat and completely immersed into Gossamer Falls. The descriptions made me feel as if I was there and could see everything!
I literally could read it again today and I cannot wait for the next one! I hope it comes soon!
This was a great kickoff to the series! I will say the suspense behind the side characters had me excited for the last book in this series but the main couple was fun too. I enjoyed this one.
Dani Bennet has no memory of her early childhood. For twenty-five years she has lived with or close to her Uncle Keith who brought her up after her parents died.
Mae Richmond has not given up her search for her daughter and son-in-law's killer. For twenty-five years she has held on to the need to find her granddaughter who disappeared that day at the age of nine.
K-9 Officer Mark Lassiter lives close by Mae and he feels protective toward the elderly woman. He knows she has faith she will have answers one day.
Now, a photo could change everything.
This is an excellent story. I want to thank Revell Publishing, the author, Patricia Bradley and NetGalley for my advanced reader's copy of this book. I had the privilege of reading the first book in the Pearl River series last year, so some familiar characters are here again. Chief Deputy Alexis Stone had been Danilee's childhood friend. This is an intense story. Years have been lost, lies have been told. Greed and revenge have caused destruction and loss. It is a book that I found hard to put down and it promises a third story in this excellent series too. I'm a happy reader.
Never Fall Again kept my attention and finding out who was causing all the havoc was intriguing. At times, I felt like it could have moved a little quicker, but i loved the focus on family and the romance between Landry and Cal.. I would have never guessed the villain to be Ignasio. I enjoyed it and will recommend it.
Lynn Blackburn has written another fantastic book. Never Fall Again has a great plot that kept me glued to the action. Great character dynamics and a beautiful setting. I definitely recommend this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.
This is a great read! It has some suspense but is written more like a romance novel with some crime thrown in.
I love all the characters. A close knit family and small community has pros and cons.
There is reference to domestic violence which is difficult to read about. “Good” church people aren’t always whom they seem. I know from personal experience.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. My opinions are my own.
Wow! What a fantastic book filled with suspense, intrigue, and love! I was immediately drawn into the story, and I could barely put the book down!
I love all of the characters! Landry is amazing! She's had a hard life, but she is a successful businesswoman! Cal is hunkalicious! He's gentle, compassionate, and reliable. The rest of the family clan are personable and easy to like! Shout out to Maisy! She's a true blue companion!
The author is such a great writer! She weaves a story that twists and turns! I was surprised and shocked at who the perpetrator was.
Side note- I'd like to visit a place like The Haven! It sounds delightful!
I was provided a copy of the book from the publisher/author via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
