THIS WAS SO DAMN CUTE!!! & just in time for fall! I absolutely adored Emmy and Owen. This story was definitely a slow burn but I enjoyed every second of it. I was rooting for them from the first page till the very last. There's something about a good slow burn that I just love. All the exchanged glances from across a room, or the graze of a hand on anothers, the tension is always on HIGH and makes me so giddy, i can't get enough of it. Literally had me giggling and kicking my feet over eye contact 😭

I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a cute, slow burn, fall read! Grab a drink and a blanket, this one is cozy!

Let me just say, you ‘Can’t help falling’ in love with this book! I am so in my sweet romance era right now with this Sweater Weather series!

Emmy and Owen are 🔥 literally from the get go 🤣 and I couldn’t love them more. Owen is 100% Mr. grumpy while Emmy is very sunshiny so of course I loved them together (hello Lorelai and Luke vibes). He’s quiet and reserved and she is bubbly and fun and all about books and romance (let’s be best friends please Emmy?)

There is so much good in this book, the way romance is weaved in but you also get to see how ‘romance’ in the big sweeping gestures form of the word isn’t the only kind of romance.

This books is definitely a slow burn (haha pun maybe intended) but it’s worth it for the payoff at the end. There’s no spice but the swooning is there and so is the chemistry. Just wait for THAT scene in the bookstore and you’ll know what I’m talking about!

If you want something sweet, funny, and to fill you with warm fuzzies, this is the book for you this fall!

This book is a delightful and clean story with likable and realistic characters. The plot moves forward at a great pace with engaging dialogue and a meaningful overall message of what true love is. The two main characters represent the hopeful romantic versus the practical realist and find common ground in discovering that “working up the courage to say how you feel is the grand gesture.”

This is the third in the 7 book Sweater Weather series. It consists of 7 hooks by 7 authors set in thr small North Carolina town of Harvest Hollow. Each book is a completely standalone story. They can be read in any order.

Courtney Walsh's contribution to the collaboration, Can't Help Falling, is wonderful! The humor is top notch. I was literally laughing from page one. This book is the perfect definition of RomCom. Both aspects are perfect! The swoon factor is off the charts as well.

Emmy is a bookstore owner and hopeless romantic. The book and movie references she comes up with through the story are amazing. Courtney Walsh add pop culture references so smoothly and they are hilarious.

Owen is the former bad boy, now grown up firefighter that is carrying around lots of baggage. He just makes you want to love him.

This book is a feel good read. I can't recommend it enough, especially if you love love and laughter. If I can make a sugg9, join Courtney Walsh's newsletter to get the bonus scene too!

I am sincerely grateful to Netgalley, the publisher and author for the complimentary digital copy of the book. I am happy to leave an honest review.

I received this book as an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Thank you Courtney Walsh and Victory Editing!

Emmy is a book store owner, with a secret side hustle - a romance novel inspired advice podcast. Romance novels are the theme of her life really, the fact that she’s single aside. Then one day she is pulled out of a fire by Owen, her teenage crush whom she hasn’t seen it 8 years. Awkwardness, tension, mixed messages and emotional roller coasters ensure.

I find that books about people who love books can often be overdone. Too many references or book puns or the characters personality just hinges too much on it. BUT THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE. Let me be very clear, I loved how much Emmy loves books. And the fact that she was not just a book store owner (which is boss enough on its own let’s be honest), but additionally has her own successful podcast! This took it from cliche to just cool, in my opinion.

It was written in a fun way with little quips, and witty characters. It wasn’t bogged down with steamy scenes, which left more space for cute interactions and a slow burn. A very enjoyable rom com! Bonus points for no frustrating third act breakup. I can’t wait to recommend this book to all of my friends/family/followers this fall!

the little things in romance books>>>>>>
and yes this book HAS IT!!! A LOT!!!! this book makes me giggling, smilling and kicking my feet SO DAMN CUTEEEEE!

emmy and owen was friends when they were in school but then he left town for eight years. the journey starts when he back in town.

emmy is actually in love with owen when they were in school but it was one sided.

emmy loves romance so much while owen is more a practical guy. she expects her soulmate to gives her such a grand gesture while he believe love can be shown by thoughtful actions.

what i love about this book is the character!! i love how emmy realized that love is not all about the grand gesture but also the thoughtful action and i love how owen tried to speak her language in love and romance by give her the gesture that she has always wanted.

i love the effort of both characters give to show and accept the love for and from each other!! they really are meant for each other<333

I loved everything about this story. Owen was such a softie for Emmy. Emmy was the perfect bookish heroine. I enjoyed watching her remind herself who she is and that it’s okay to not settle for less than what she wants. Watching Owen find his romantic side was so funny and sweet! Also really enjoyed that Mack was supportive and understanding about her best friend and her brother. Overall a perfect edition to the sweater weather series.

Childhood friends but haven’t seen each other in years. Best friend’s brother. Bookstore setting. Small town romance.

Soon after moving back to his hometown, Owen saves his childhood friend, Emmy, from a house fire. Emmy is still embarrassed (and upset) about the last time they saw each other, so would love to avoid Owen altogether. However, the whole town seems to be obsessed with Owen’s heroic save of Emmy and keep throwing them together.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between these characters. Also liked the supportive side characters (friends, family, coworkers).

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Can’t Help Falling is out now!

Owen is Emmy's best friend's off-limits older brother and the only boy she's ever loved. Still, he left after she confessed her feelings to him eight years ago and she's over him. Mostly. Until he comes back to Harvest Hollow like some hero, showing up just in time to pull her out of her burning house, and stirring up all sorts of feelings.

Romance comes in many forms, and for Emmy, I loved that she discovered this in her parents and even in the things Owen did for her without being asked to. Of course he didn't understand his feelings for her then, but I loved that his own romantic language was brought to light.

Owen was in denial until he finally got out of his funk, of course with much needed help 😂 I loved that even though he saw himself as practical, he still wanted to also speak the hopeless romantic in Emmy 🥰 Learning to also accept his limitations with dyslexia and get accommodations in order to progress was wonderful to see.

I loved it when the firefighters were all huddled together listening to the Hopeful Romantic podcast while one of them even took notes. It was so hilarious!😂

This book is a love letter to romance and hopeless romantics out there. Yes, we love a heartwarming grand gesture that will melt even the gruffest of people, but it's also the simple things that matter.

I adore Courtney Walsh’s books, and I’m so loving the Sweater Weather series. This is book three and I’ve been lucky enough to read them all so far! These are sweet and swoony, fall themed romances by some of my favourite clean authors.

Gotta love a sister’s best friend, firefighter, childhood secret friends/crush to adulthood saviour romance!

Starts out with flames and just gets better!!

It’s definitely got the You’ve Got Mail theme with the unknown internet comments to a podcast by an anonymous presenter of romance and relationship advice… something in a couple Hallmark movies as well.

Brilliantly written like the other Courtney Walsh books I’ve read, and I definitely recommend it to all! All of the Sweater Weather books, of course, but with the theme and tropes of this one, it might just be my new favourite of the first three releases!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Sweethaven Press, and this is my honest feedback.

I am absolutely devouring the books in the sweater weather series. This sweet romcom is perfect for someone looking for a heartwarming, funny, and meaningful fall romance. I loved the tropes - childhood friends to lovers, firefighter, opposites attract, hero and heroine…. They all really worked for me.

I laughed out loud a LOT reading this. The FMC was so awkwardly relatable. She is a romantic at heart- and just wants to be swept off her feet like in the romance novels she reads. Duh, who doesn’t?

A large portion of the plot centers around a house fire- where MMC saves FMC and she discovers her hero happens to be her childhood best friend. Only problem is he left town 8 years ago and never said a word- so why is he back now?

I really really really loved the learning disability rep. The MMC struggles with dyslexia and other learning disabilities and it was handled with care and to me felt like an awesome addition to the plot. There are very few romances that deal with learning disabilities so it was a pleasant surprise and was really well done.

Can’t wait to keep reading these!

Tropes: best friend's brother, hopeful romantic, bookish heroine, firefighter hero, opposites attract, childhood crush, small town

First off, happy release day to Courtney Walsh.

Second, dare I say this book might have just become my new favorite Courtney Walsh romance? A Cross-Country Christmas was phenomenal, and Can't Help Falling is right up there now. There were squeals and moments when my heart was racing from the swoon-worthy romance.
Emmy and Owen were well-developed characters and I'm already looking forward to my reread of this book. As a hopeful romantic myself, I really related to Emmy and her desires when it came to romance. It made me question some of my beliefs about love, solidified others, and want what these characters have (just not fictional).

As soon as Owen swept Emmy off her feet (literally), so, too, was I swept off my feet by this story. I read this in two sittings because I needed to know what happened and I was fully immersed in the story. I can't recommend Can't Help Falling enough!

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored "Can't Help Falling" by Courtney Walsh. This delightful romcom takes you on a journey filled with heartwarming moments and a slow-burning romance that tugs at your heartstrings.
The chemistry between the characters, especially the main duo, is electric. While I secretly hoped for some big, open-door scenes towards the end, the story's overall charm and well-crafted plot kept me thoroughly engaged. It's a tale of second chances, where past mistakes and misunderstandings collide with the possibility of a brighter future.
What truly sets this book apart is its endearing cast of characters. Both Owen and the protagonist, whose voice shines through the narrative, are relatable and lovable. Even the secondary characters, like their quirky families, add depth and warmth to the story.
Reading "Can't Help Falling" feels like cozying up with a pumpkin spice latte on a crisp fall day. It's like a Hallmark TV series in book form, perfect for anyone who craves a heartwarming love story .
Courtney Walsh's novel is a testament to the power of second chances and the magic of true love.

First Person, Dual POV, Slow Burn, No Spice, Small Town, Autumnal/Fall.

I really enjoyed this book, it was cozy and sweet, with lots of pining and a happy ending. The relationship between Emmie and Owen grew beautifully and it was lovely to see them both change their approach to love.
This is my first book on by Courtney, and the first I have read in this series. I will be reading the others and will definitely be reading more by Courtney.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sweethaven Press for the advanced copy.

I am an absolute sucker for a best friends brother romance and this hit the spot

Emmy is adorable and realistic, Owen is the perfect grump and my only wish is we would get more of them

Thankyou for the ARC, excited to read more by Courtney Walsh

I absolutely devoured this book. Could not put it down.

It's laugh out loud funny, oh so swoony, and gives the most lovely fall vibes. And the pining. Oh, the pining. Second chance/still in love with after many years is not a much loved trope of mine. But this book does it well and it really adds a lot of oomph to the slow burn.

And speaking of slow burn, did I mention the MMC is a fireman?

I absolutely LOVED this book guys!!

Chapter one will leave you wanting more and that’s pretty much how the entire book was for me. Emmy is easily one of my favorite MCs- she’s quirky, fun, awkwardly adorable, and not afraid to be exactly that! She’s a hopeless romantic and this book is full of phenomenal romance novel references. By the end of the book I was having crazy “You’ve Got Mail” feels and I was eating it UP!

What I loved most about this book was how Courtney Walsh wrote and represented both a learning disability and trauma. She wasn’t afraid to tackle two IMPORTANT topics and I think she did it SO well. I’m a sucker for a book that talks about things that matter because quite frankly, there aren’t enough out there!

Such a cozy, fall romance book! LOVE LOVE LOVED it!
