Nice addition to the series. I loved the puzzles. Not a huge fan of the circus though. But, I would have to put her little sister on a leash until she got old enough to not run away again. :) I love how they all work together and how they all work with each other's strengths. Great addition to the series.
I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.
In this digital world, the old tradition of passing coded notes to friends at school seems to have faded away. But author Penny Warner is keeping the tradition alive with her Code Busters Club series. And in the seventh book, A Disappearance in Magicland, the characters use codes to get out of some troubling situations.

The seventh Code Breakers book finds the group going to Magic Land. However, once there, they find themselves with another mystery besides Houdini’s Handprints - finding Cody’s little sister, who has disappeared.
This was the first one in this series I’ve read, but I found it delightful! It was easy to read and the codes were all fun! I do wish I had the physical book so I could figure out the codes at the moment (it isn’t really easy to flip to the back on an e-reader). Despite that, still a fun read for middle grade students!
I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
My seven year old is loving chapter books right now (beginning reader) and is very excited to have this book.
Codes, mystery, and a magic themed amusement park. What could be more exciting? How about a race to the finish! And when someone disappears, you know you're in for some excitement! Find all this and more in Penny Warner's thrilling book A Disappearance in Magicland! Warner's book had me hooked from the first page, and gave me multiple opportunities to test my own code breaking skills! Recommended for anyone who enjoys middle grade mysteries, as well as codes and puzzles. This book was received via NetGalley.
