Instagram-Knits for Baby is a collection of sweater, hat, blanket and toy knitting patterns that are quick knits, ideal for last minute gifts for a baby. The sweaters are simple in design, use thicker yarns and larger needles so that they can be knitted in a shorter period of time. The patterns are ideal for a new knitter or an experience knitter who ants something that will knit up quickly.

Thank you NetGalley.com for providing me a copy of this book for a review.

This book contains some cute patterns for babies which look straightforward and I plan to cast on a blanket this evening for my greatnephew who is due next year.
The patterns are not elaborate and I am not sure if this makes them Instagram knits or not but I think if something is well made and looks good then why not share picture of the outcome.
I will probably make a few of the items over the coming months.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

I just reviewed Insta-Knits for Baby by Melissa Leapman. #InstaKnitsforBaby #NetGalley.
A great resource for beginners, allowing them to build their skills with excellent glossary information which details how to achieve the patterns and techniques, including photos of the steps.

There are some awesome patterns in this book - one of which I have been looking for for a while.
What the nicest part was is that the patterns are divided into sections as to how long the patterns take you to make it. So you can plan what you want to make in what time frame.
A book that you will dive into more than once.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me the chance to read this book.

I’m sure there will be something for everyone in this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Globe Pequot, Stackpole Books for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

Insta-Knits for Baby by Melissa Leapman
Starts with index where it shows the finished- projects and where you can find the instructions and how to make them.
Love that each section has timed projects included within. Very helpful if you know you only have a certain amount of time to complete a project.
Each project starts with a title, color photo is shown, pattern lists measurements, materials, gauge, notes on special stitches, how to assemble are shown with pictures.
Love the short but the longer patterns as well.
Such cute and colorful projects for babies. Charted patterns are also included.
Love some patterns that could be used in an afghan. Resources are listed as well as abbreviations and glossary of chart symbols, techniques, and basic knit stitches explained with pictures, author resources and so much more.
A KEEPER!

Globe Pequot, Stackpole Books via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I really like how this book is organized by length of project with the additional guide to which projects are for what age. Very nicely laid out. Having said that — out of the entire book I only liked 2 projects and I’m going to be a first time grandma this fall. Maybe I’m just too picky (like the new mom with ultra high standards LOL) and the other designs would grow on me but, overall, I was disappointed in the selections in this book.

This baby knot book is absolutely adorable, there are some lovely patterns that I can’t wait to try out. Lots of my family members have recently had babies or are due little ones soon so I can’t wait to make them little homemade gifts.

The patterns are easy to read, the writings on each page is clear and evenly spaced out which makes it easy to follow.

The baby knitting patterns are easy to follow, well-written, and easy to understand. Yet to be completely honest here, I’m not sure I would call the whole collection of Instagram-worthy knits. Yes, the knits are nice and everything you EVER knit is worthy of being pictured and posted all over the internet, but it feels weird to see a collection of very basic knits labeled as “Instagram-worthy”. It might also be my own not-really-fully-understanding what is this Instagram-worthy thing, but it does not feel like a collection of very, very simple knits is it. Yet it most definitely is a very good collection of very good patterns for any beginner knitter who wants to make knits that fit babies. I know for sure that this is often an issue if people knit for babies and have no actual baby for sizing reference, and do not use a tried and tested pattern, the well-intended baby knits sometimes turn out to be in all sorts of weird sizes. A book like this solves this issue. Every garment will fit. Also, if you are someone who knows how to knit and how to alter patterns, this might be a good basis for creating baby knits when you add your own twists to them.

I love this book! I love the duck pattern. It's a cute, inspiring pattern book. I hope to make one of these for a family baby some day soon.

Insta-Knits for Baby
by Melissa Leapman was just ok. I’m a self-taught knitter so I’m always looking for patterns. I didn’t really like any of the patterns and thought they weren’t things I’d want to make my grand baby.
Thanks Globe Pequot via NetGalley.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Globe Pequot/Stackpole Books for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a knitting book. The things in the book are for babies and are amazingly cute. I really like the bunny and panda blanket. There did seem to be a lot of hats though. Now I just need to sit down and make something. But the instructions seem reasonable and everything is defined. 4 stars Well thought out I liked that it was based on time to make.

Have a baby shower on your calendar? Welcoming a new little one into your family or planning for Christmas presents? Then Insta-Knits for Baby should be on your shelf or in your knitting bag! Designer Melissa Leapman has organized these adorable patterns into the time needed to complete them. Need a gift tomorrow? You can make Preppy Socks in less than three hours or a Ducky blanket in four. Hats might take a little more time as will the slightly more complicated balls, toys and lacy bibs. Allow the most time, over twenty hours, for blankets. These are binge watching projects! The Giraffe Blankie and the All Heart Blanket are my favorites but there are many choices here. Insta-Knits for Baby concludes with illustrated guides to stitches and other resources. All theses patterns are suitable for knitters at all levels. 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Globe Pequot and Melissa Leapman for this ARC.
