They fell for each other fast, but it wasn’t rushed or written to be unrealistic. Their feelings gradually go from lust to love and it’s great. I didn’t realize that this is book 6 of a series, I don’t feel like I miss any information, and felt like there was a bit of summary from previous books.

Love the narrators. They made this book a better read than it would have been!

This dark mafia/mc romance was a good look at the lifestyle most don't see, understand or live by. The characters went through multiple situations that kept me listening!

This one contained a ton of mature scenes.

Thank you NetGalley and the Publishers for the opportunity to listen to the Filthy Disciple audiobook by Serena Akeroyd and Cassandra Robbins in exchange of an honest review.

'Filthy Disciple' is an enthralling tale that combines the gripping worlds of her Disciples series with Serena Akeroyd's Five Points. From the moment I discovered that my favorite male narrator, Joes Arden, lends his voice to this book, I knew I was in for a treat. The story revolves around Cindy or Belle as she prefers to be called, who flees New York and finds solace among the Disciples, whom she considers her newfound family. However, her world is turned upside down when Cade, a member of the Five Points, enters the scene with the task of bringing her back to her father. Little did he expect that amidst this mission, a whirlwind romance would ignite between him and Belle. Cassandra Robbins skillfully portrays Belle as a complex leading lady — a hot mess with a neurotic yet impulsive nature, but with a deeply fragile heart yearning for love. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that both Belle and Cade carry the weight of their troubled pasts, but through their journey, they begin to heal and forgive themselves. Belle's tremendous character growth — from a pill-addicted woman chasing after a married man to a strong, fierce individual courageously facing her demons head-on — is a testament to Robbins' masterful storytelling. 'Filthy Disciple' is a compelling read that hooks you right from the start. With its captivating storyline and powerful character development, this book is a must-read for fans of contemporary romance seeking a story that tugs at the heartstrings and instills hope in the power of love and redemption."

Audio review - Isabella and Cade are incredible, when he first starts watching he is taken with her. As he sees her spiral outside the diner and he takes charge claims to be her boyfriend and then at the hospital again. The narrating was great Joe Arden and Maxine did a great job delivering a good story.

When you meld together Serena Akeroyd and Cassandra Robbins and hand over narration to Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell, you know you're going to have an amazing story and Filthy Disciple did not disappoint.

I felt for Isabelle, oscillating between wanting to pull her into a hug and wanting to slap her across the face all the while wanting her to find a safe place to have her own HEA.

Cassandra Robbins and Serena Akeroyd pulled me into the story with ease. I was instantly invested in both Cade and Cindy's lives. I'll admit this is my first of the series and from these authors and I was blown away. I never felt like I needed to have read the others to understand the characters and the story line. However, after reading this one I will be going back through the previous books because I'm hooked.

I enjoyed how their relationship, although it was a quick progression, it was done flawlessly. From the moment the two interacted you could feel the chemistry between them. I loved Cade's family dynamic. I thought they brought such a fun side to the book and at the end Cindy's friends grew on me too. There wasn't a character who didn't stand out in their own way. It was beautifully written.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell brought the words on page to life. I love listening to them both and it feels like with each new audiobook they get better and better. They both know how to bring emotions from the text to your earbuds and I love that most about their style.

I’ve heard a lot of hype about Joe Arden so I was excited to finally hear his narration. He did not disappoint! He was great as was Maxine. This first majority of this book was instalust with lots of explicit spice which will definitely appeal to a lot of listeners. I was happy to hear more of the plot kick in later in the story. I know mafia romances are kind of problematic by design (lots of unaliving and organized crime, hello?!) but I just really had a hard time with Isabelle’s overdose and then hospital stay and then she’s just jumping into a problematic relationship buts it’s all fine? And also, what with her childhood traumas I felt icky when the story mentioned her small waist (outside of the trauma). Overall I do think readers/listeners who enjoy mafia romances will enjoy this one.

What I liked:
•good smut
•great grovel
•enjoyable narrators
•Sons of Anarchy vibes

I grew to love the main characters as they changed and fell in love. I previously read books in each connected series. I enjoy hearing updates about characters from books I previously read. But I wasn’t sure I liked either main character at the start of this book.

Cindy/Belle had issues that led to bad behavior, possibly due to her poor coping mechanisms. Her friends/family were not supportive in the moment. However, anyone who has dealt with an addict knows at some point tough love becomes necessary. That leads her to rely on Cade.

Cade went to California to save/ retrieve Cindy/Belle. He was misled about her situation, but takes advantage of her breakdown.

I read the Disciples MC books and I was not a fan of Cindy. At the beginning of this book I found her whiny, needy, and kind of pathetic.

I’ve read most of the Five Points series. Cade’s behavior is not surprising, but not admirable. He somewhat took advantage of the situation and Cindy/Belle.

As the story developed my opinion of both characters changed. Cindy/Belle had reasons why she acted the way she did. It made me remember to treat others with kindness - everyone is facing their own battles. As Cade got more information on what was truly happening, his plans changed based on that information. My respect for him grew.

The relationship between these characters definitely had its ups and downs. There was plenty of heat, a little bit of violence, and a believable HEA. This book is a good addition to both series.

The narration by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell was great and added to the story.

I received an ALC of this audiobook from NetGalley, but my review is my own and freely given.

A Mediocre Blend of Sibling Dynamics and Romance: "Filthy Disciple" Audiobook Review

"Filthy Disciple" by Serena Akeroyd and Cassandra Robbins, narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell, explores sibling dynamics and family values within the context of a mafia romance. While the story falls short of being a typical mafia romance or a deep, dark romance, it does provide a more concise and somewhat underdeveloped take on the genre.

The decision to listen to this audiobook was 100% influenced by the powerful combination of Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell as narrators. Their ability to deliver fantastic Irish accents, particularly Joe's specialization in this area, added a touch of authenticity to the story. With the narration primarily divided into 75% Maxine and 25% Joe, both narrators showcased their talent as voice actors. However, there was a lack of youthful energy in their portrayal of the 20-something characters, leaving room for improvement.

The story follows Isabelle, a self-centered and insecure young woman who seeks solace within an MC after running away from home. As the plot unfolds, readers discover that Isabelle is more complex than initially portrayed. She is both broken and hopeful, lost but eager to be found. The protagonist, tasked with bringing her back to her father, gradually realizes the depth of Isabelle's character and the difficult circumstances she finds herself in.

While "Filthy Disciple" attempts to weave a tale of owed favors, unexpected connections, and the dangers of returning home, it falls short of delivering a truly captivating experience. The sibling dynamics and family values are certainly highlights of the story, but they are lost by the lack of depth in the romance and character development. The pacing feels rushed, and the overall length of the audiobook contributes to the underdeveloped nature of the plot.

In conclusion, "Filthy Disciple" is a lukewarm audiobook that explores the complexities of sibling relationships and family values within the context of a mafia romance. While the narration by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell adds a layer of authenticity, there is room for improvement in capturing the youthful essence of the characters. The story itself offers glimpses of potential but ultimately falls short of delivering a truly engaging experience. If you are seeking a quick read focusing on family dynamics, this audiobook may suffice. However, if you want a profoundly immersive and well-developed dark mafia romance, "Filthy Disciple" may not meet your expectations.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

'Filthy Disciple' honestly lives up to its name, and I'm not mad about it.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell do a phenomenal job as narrators. This book is easy to listen to, pop it on and go about your day... just make sure it's connected to your headphones because it starts spicy.

I finished this book in an afternoon, the plot was fast paced and even though I hadn't read the other books in the series I didn't feel I was missing too much.

My only criticism is I don't feel I liked either character very much. Mostly they admitted their faults and it was sorted by the end of the book but as it was going I often didn't find myself thinking of the characters very highly. Maybe had I read the previous books I may have had a deeper emotional connection but alas.

Overall it's an enjoyable listen, the spiciness is to a degree that both authors are known for and the narrators were well chosen.

Easy 4 stars for me, possibly 4.5 even.

I was gifted a copy of this audiobook in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Thank you to Serena Aneroid, Cassandra Robbins, Dreamscape Media and Net Galley for this opportunity.

I don’t know the history of the MC club or Mobsters. This is the first book I’ve read from the series. This book is heavy on STEAMY love scenes. A fairly decent plot. Light character development. Some of the things that happened felt like the Author was scrambling for events to happen to keep it interesting. Some events were not needed to have a decent plot.
I loved the family element of the story.
Both Narrators were decent. The Irish and New York accents were not consistent.

Cassandra and Serena finally bring us a true crossover in the Five Points and Disciples world and it's everything I was hoping it'd be. Cade is a lesser known Five Points character, but Cindy is very well known in the Disciples world. I wasn't so sure how they were going to make us like a very unlikeable character, but they did and I honestly fell in love with her so quickly.

I am so glad to see Cindy/Belle finally find someone who loves and understands her. We all knew that Ryder wasn't the one for her and that she just craved love, we just didn't understand what made her as awful as she seemed during the first few Disciples books... What we find out is horrifying and really helped soften her up for me. Cade was pretty head over heels for her from the start, and while he was a bit broken too, he was able to really show Belle what love actually looked like and help her grow and learn to love herself too.

The whole storyline was great. I really loved getting to know Cade's family and hope Serena has more from them for us later. Cade's grovel was pretty great and the Old Lady's were hilarious while he was looking for their approval. I adored the epilogues we got, both 18mo and several years later. They deserved everything they got and more, I was so happy to see them happy.

I got to re-read with the audio and it was fantastic. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were a fantastic team and I loved them both so much as Cade and Belle. I'll definitely be listening to this one again and again.

I'm hoping this isn't the last time Cassandra and Serena team up, I really love them both and this crossover was perfect.

This book is somewhat difficult to rate because I did not like the way these two got together. In fact that was something about Cade I wasn’t particularly fond of. I have a real aversion to liars so it kind of ruined things right off the bat for me. I gave this book four stars because it is well written and Belle is a sweetheart. The narration on this was great.

This audiobook is so spicy and the narrators brought this book to life incredibly well. It was truly a wonderful from start to finish

What an unexpectedly awesome book! I did not know what to expect going into this because I am not usually a dark romance or mafia romance reader, but this book has changed my mind!! And I literally need to read and/or listen to all of the books in both of these authors series leading up to this book.

Cindy/Belle and Cade meet under suspicious circumstances and instantly fall into lust with each other. Belle is at a very fragile low point in her life and Cade absolutely takes advantage of that fact to do the job that he has been tasked with. Until he finds out the truth surrounding it and immediately knows that he needs to change course. Not just because he is falling in love with Belle, but because it is the right thing to do.

Let me tell you - they really got the A team in narrators with this book. Joe and Maxine really aced this one and I will literally listen to anything and everything that they narrate.

This book is full of spice, especially in the first 50% and Y'ALL. THE SPICE WAS SPICING!!!

Highly recommend this audiobook!

For me to enjoy an audiobook, the narration has to be just right and both narrators of this one delivered perfectly!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The characters, storyline and narration were on point and developed very well. The story has the perfect mix of drama, sweetness and steam.

4/5 stars for me. I felt a little bit of insta-love with this one but overall I enjoyed the romantic suspense, deception and overall plot.

This was dirty and I liked it. Narration was great, only issue is that the female gave the male a NY accent when she voiced the male, but the male narrator didn't use the accent, so it was kinda off. Otherwise they did great.

Maybe its me? I haven't read the other books in this series and felt like I was late to the party. I didn't know why I should care about these characters or secondary characters. The beginning felt very rushed and I never felt an honest connection between the H and h.

When I started this book I hated "Cindy", she was definitely needy and a bit bratty. I was afraid I was going to end up hating this book but as it turns out, I rather enjoyed it. I loved Cindy/Bella/Isabella's character progression and I love that Cade was so enamored with her from the start. The spice was definitely spicy and Cade has a dirty, dirty mouth, but we love it. Cade's mom is so precious and I love her.

I'm definitely interested in reading the backlog on these authors as it seems I have been missing out!
