This book is a low spice romance. This was a fun romance. A guardian angel is in danger of losing her job when a soul bond breaks between Liam and Sienna. Amara has arranged a deal for Liam and Sienna to recreate their bond. This is a fun romance. I highly recommend this as long as you don’t mind a little spice.
This one was a pleasant surprise for me! I requested it on a whim because I love guardian angel/angel stories (I mean HELLO, I grew up on Hush, Hush.
The novel started off a little slow and weird with the worldbuilding of the angel world (I thought it was silly, and I have no idea if it's made up or based on some truth because I barely paid attention in religion classes).
But anyways, I pretty much was unable to put this one down. I enjoyed the family dynamic between Amara and her sister and their conflict of figuring out how to best communicate with each other. I thought it was a perfect side plot to our main characters falling in love with each other.
The romance was done so so so well, so *chefs kiss*. I loved watching Liam and Amara slowly fall in love and then slowly realize they were in love. They were so cute. I also found Amara acting human kind of adorable, reminded me a lot of Sleepy Hollow from the mid 2000s where Ichabod had to adjust to the modern world.
I devoured this book in almost one sitting one night and I was very pleased. I think the writing is easy to read, it had the perfect amount of romance and some spice. I don't know if I liked Sierra enough to read a book in her world (which appears to be next) but I might give it a go, who knows!
I will start this review by saying that I haven’t finished the book. At the time of reading I managed to get 17% of the way in and was just not connecting to the characters in a way that is making me want to continue at the moment. The set up is good. I think the idea of the story is brilliant. But there’s been a few things in it that are making me go huh why has this not been brought up, or the fact that they use numbers for a lot of things brings me out of the immersion while I try to read the number in my head. I will pick this book up another time and try again, as sometimes you need a fresh perspective so I will update my review if and when that happens.

This book is one that I read the description and I was hooked! I wanted to know more. Overall, it gave me what I wanted. It was different angels, afterlife, humans, and love. 100⭐️ on that, BUT I wish there was more building up to A and L love for each other and more to the ending. I feel like I didn't finish the book.
Not much spicy, but there is some...

This book has a unique premise. What you think the afterlife holds is likely entirely different than the afterlife in this book. There's family, love, strife and understanding. Sounds like a normal life except it's angels living it.
Amara is Liam's guardian angel. Her job also depends on his soul bond with Sienna, his fiance. When their soul bond breaks moments before they die everything is in question. What about Amara's job? Why did the soul bond break?
Liam is an ideal boyfriend/fiance and that might not work for everybody but it works for Sienna, at least she thinks it does. Once she's in the afterlife she begins to question everything.
The question of why the soul bond broke is never answered (I wish it was) but the book, overall, was great. It really makes you think about the here and now, and also the afterlife.
I would recommend this book.
When an angel falls for a human. It is frowned upon and can ruin the reputation of the angel at stake, but this doesn’t stop Amara from doing that exactly. It doesn’t happen on purpose, but through a strange turn of events, that is where she ends up.
Amara is confused most of the book, conflicting with what is expected of her and how she feels about herself. It takes falling in love for her to accept that she doesn’t need to be better, just be herself. Liam shows her that.
Liam is set out on a mission to rekindle a soul bond with his fiancé after it breaks shortly before their death. He is to recreate their love story and make her fall back in love with him. In the process, he discovers much about himself and what he wants out of life. I like that Liam is considerate and thoughtful, but he seems almost too nice. And perhaps that is the point the author is trying to make. To some he may be too much, others, he is perfect.
This book is a very lighthearted and a fun fantasy read. The author doesn’t dive really deep into the fantasy world, but gives you enough that it isn’t your standard romance book. It honestly is a nice breather from some of the heavier fantasy reads, a nice mix between fantasy and a contemporary love story.
This is a delightful addition to the contemporary cozy fantasy genre, offering readers a cozy and heartwarming tale centered around guardian angels. From the very beginning, I found myself completely engrossed in the story, and I can confidently say, I really liked this book.
It weaves a story that is not only engaging but also uplifting, making it a perfect read. The exploration of guardian angels and their role in the lives of humans adds an intriguing layer to the narrative.
The worldbuilding in the book is well done. It's a world that is easy to follow, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the story without getting lost in complex mythologies or convoluted explanations. It effortlessly blends the supernatural elements with the real world, making the concept of guardian angels feel natural and believable.
The characters of Amara, Liam, and Sienna are beautifully crafted, each bringing a unique aspect to the overall story. Amara's journey of self-discovery and her growth as a guardian angel is particularly compelling. Liam's struggles and Sienna's role in the narrative add depth to the characters, making them relatable and endearing. It's easy to become emotionally invested in their individual stories and root for their personal growth and happiness. One of the standout features of this book is its exploration of the struggles that each character goes through as they figure out their identities in the afterlife.

I absolutely love the unique and fresh concept on this novel. I’m always looking for something different to acquire and this stood right out. I cannot wait to share my full review and thoughts. I apologize I’ve been dealing with some unexpected health issues at the moment. What a beautiful concept to fall in love with your guardian angel. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
