This was my first read from this author and it pulled me in from the start. It's a bit longer, but this shouldn't stop you. It's worth it. I loved Kenna. The story pulled me through so many emotions and I enjoyed every last one of them.
You Surround Me has me waiting for more books to come out by A.G. Hayes. The storyline, the characters, the angst and family created is fantastic.

Summary: "My best friend’s brother? My brother’s best friend? It doesn’t get any more cliché, yet...I can’t help but want him. Something new and electric is developing between them. Though he knows he should, Logan can’t seem to stay away. He wants to explore these new feelings, to see if they could lead to something special. But he can’t. Matt is his closest friend, practically his brother, and he can’t place a wedge in their lifelong friendship over a possibility. Right?" - Goodreads
Review: So many of my favourite tropes all wrapped up in a book with a cute cover, what more could I want? The found family trope has me in a chokehold and I loved every minute of it in You Surround me! I enjoyed the different personalities within the friend group.
I also found myself laughing so many times because Kenna's relationship with her mom reminded me so much of my relationship with my mom 💛 My heart melted at the relationship between the siblings in this book. I always wanted to have a big brother so I could have the same type of relationship with him (I'm an only child but a girl could dream!)!
I did feel like the ending was a little awkward though. If the book ended before that scene, it would have made more sense to me because it felt like a natural ending.
If you like romance books that deal with many heavier topics, I would recommend You Surround me by A. G. Hayes!
You Surround Me is now published so read it today! 🎉

This is a Young Adult story about Kenna and Logan. They have known each other their whole life. Their moms are best friends, Kenna and his sister Ranie are BFFs and Logan and her brother Matt also are best buddies. It sounds wonderful but there’s one major issue: Logans dad Heath is a horrible man. He is verbally abusive and terrorizes his family. His wife Lisa is forced to hide her friendship with Kenna’s mom because Heath can’t stand her. You can imagine Logan and Ranie suffer a lot, growing up in such a hostile environment. These two families are connected by friendship and loyalty, sticking up for each other, and especially by Kenna and Logan, who have developed romantic feelings for each other.
You really see them connect, and you see their bond grow and develop. It is a story about on one hand growing up as teenagers, friendship, puppy love and the only worry you have is getting good grades, and on the other hand about abuse, angst and dealing with difficulties while being so young. It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking story of two very young adults who are very different and have a different upbringing finding their way in life and towards each other.

Such a fun book to read and relatable characters. I enjoyed the drama between the characters and the tension between the characters. Made me wish I had that kind of friend group in high school honestly.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and the slow burn romance between the two main characters. I cant wait to read more by this author in the future.
I would be highly recommend this book to everyone who loves that hot banter between main characters. The angst between these two was FIRE especially because they have such different temperaments and it's what really made this book shine!! Can’t seem to get enough of it!
