This is another good book from Leslie North. This a collection of three books. The books are about a family of sons, the Mccallisters. All three sons are in the military or retired. In each book one of the sons find their true love. They had to fight off bad guys to protect their women. They all fall madly in love.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This was a quick easy read about three heroes and the women they fall for.
Follow Chase, Harris and Lee McCallister, as they meet the women that are to be theirs, or not! As they help to free them from the things that haunt them or hunt them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of McCallister Military Brothers: The Complete Series.
I thought this series was a quick and fast read. I would give this series a 3 star rating. I think other romance readers would enjoy picking up this series.
I absolutely loved these stories! I read these as an ARC from the publisher and Netgalley! Leslie did great with including Navy Seals and the military aspect of romance novels that I adore. The spice in these were perfect and I definitely will reread these in the future.
These 3 books were quick reads... but I needed a little bit more action. After reading the three of them, I still don't feel like I have a final.
A great collection of military romances. Three brothers you will fall in love with a little more with each adventure. It's like being part of the family.
I requested these because I thought "hey why not" and because I was entering my military romance era thanks to authors like Yarros. In all honesty I had no idea what to expect going into these books and I am glad I didn't because I loved just seeing how it all played out. North was a surprise I was not ready for. These are three fantastic stories full of great characters, gripping stories and just full of my favourite tropes. I LOVE alpha MMC's and these boys delivered.
I received a copy of this book as part of a box set from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Protecting Mandy
This is a short, fast-paced read that one can probably get through in a day. It has some spice, some suspense, some endearing moments. It is an enjoyable book that I would give 3.5 stars, but I rounded to 4. It isn't going to leave a lasting impression, but it was fun and sweet and I liked it a lot.
I love the unrequited love story that is at the center of the book. I get so excited when people can work through problems and misunderstandings and come out stronger. I'm really excited to read the next two books in the series that focus on Chance's (MMC) brothers (also military).
Saving Rachel
I will say that Leslie North knows how to write a MMC. Whew. These McCallister boys are sweet and spicy. Where Chance (book 1) was more of a bad boy gone good, Harris is the peacemaker that puts everyone at ease to solve problems. Until, he has to get feisty with someone out to hurt his baby mama.
Guarding Viktoria
Having read all of the McCallister Brother books, I think that I can say with confidence that this is the best one. Chance is my favorite brother, but Lee and Viktoria are my favorite couple and have the most exciting story.
Lee finally finds his calling as a top tier bodyguard working for some true professionals. He thinks that he has found a calling outside of the military life that he was forced to leave behind. Enter Viktoria. An Icelandic bombshell with a nose for business and a take-no-crap attitude to boot.
They fall madly in love (of course neither one would admit this) right about the time that all Hell breaks loose. The story is fast-paced and exciting. You'll love it! Thank you NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this fun and exciting trilogy.
The complete series of McCallister Military Brothers by Leslie North. The stories of Chance and Mandy, Raider and Rachel and Lee and Viktoria. It’s nothing complex and has a very basic plot.
This is the complete set of the McCallister Milatry Brothers series and each book is an enjoyable quick read. We have pretty much three loves at first sights and how to project the new lady's in each bother's life. I enjoyed all three books.
This boxset is comprised of three steamy, romantic, action-packed stories that will keep you turning the pages. The books take you on an adventure as each McCallister brother finds love when they least expect it. The first book is pretty much a standalone, but the other two are intertwined, so it's nice to have the whole set so you can dive right into the next one without having to wait. Each brother's story was compelling and heartwarming as they fought off their demons for the women they loved. Also, the stories portray a beautiful connection and bond between the brothers which was really nice to see. All in all a great set to have at the ready when you're in the mood for a danger and excitement all brought to you by hot, alpha, military men!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I really enjoyed all three of these books. In “Protecting Mandy”: Amanda “Mandy” Loomis, is trying to make a go of her father’s auto repair business and pay off his gambling debt. Former SEAL Chance McCallister has returned home with no idea what he will do in civilian life. Restoring an old car, he meets Mandy at the garage and realizes that she is in trouble. A loan shark is after her and the business. Will working at the garage allow Chance to protect her as they try to put the loan shark out of business? In “Saving Rachel”, Marine Raider Harris McCallister is home on leave. Rachel Winchester has made a success of her B&B, but her mother along with others believe there is hidden treasure on the property and want to put her out of business. Will the one night they spent together result in an added worry for both of them? Is there really a hidden treasure? In “Guarding Viktoria”, Lee McCallister has retired from the Army Rangers and has taken a job as a bodyguard. He is tasked with the safety of Viktoria Jonsdottir, who is scheduled to attend a conference in New York. From the very beginning, they battle one attempt after another to keep her from arriving at her destination. Can he keep her safe without falling in love with her? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
A selection of short and steamy reads. Whilst the books are connected, each following a different brother, they can also be read as standalones.
Usually a series like this the subsequent books don't deliver as much as the first . But I actually found myself enjoying the books more as they went on with Saving Viktoria standing out as my clear favourite.
Would definitely read this author again.
Three book collection about the McCallister brothers. Each book is about how they find their forever loves. Steamy HEA
Three brothers in different branches of the military have their own stories. I’m always amazed at how different one Leslie North story can be from another- it’s almost like different writers, they’re that different.
I think the one I found most intriguing was the story about the brother who left the military because of a wound to his eye - leaving him with good vision, but not sharpshooter vision. Of the three, I liked it the most, followed by the second story, and then the origin story at the beginning. All, however, are interesting. The third story, though, stands out far from the other two. It’s a much higher caliber of intrigue and danger.
Steamy hot romance with danger lurking is a reoccuring theme for this box set. Leslie North tells her tales with twists as her characters face danger. I became engrossed in their stories and couldn’t stop reading. Leslie makes her characters come alive and you're along for the thrilling ride. This series, McCallister Military Brothers, has great storylines and plenty of romance.
I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to read the full boxset of the McCallister Military Brothers series written by the writer collective known under the pen name of Leslie North. Thank you Netgalley for this eARC boxset!
As usual, the books are engaging, some hot sex present and all comes to a satisfying ending.
From the three books, Chance is probably my favourite character, but Guarding Victoria the better book.
Book1: Protecting Mandy
Mandy has taken over her father's car business, but unfortunately also his gambling bets - a considerable amount which she's been struggling to pay off for some time. The weasely collector has offered her some of the loas to be cleared if she agrees to share his bed... The oldest McCallister brother, Chance, is back from his SEAL duty and he still has feelings for his high school sweetheart Mandy. Chance feels like something is wrong with Mandy as she seems stressed out and he offers to help her at the garage; a perfect excuse to keep Mandy close.
Book 2: Saving Rachel
A one night stand comes with a life long consequence after Rachel decides to keep the baby. She's assuming Harries wants nothing to do with her or the baby, but he soon manages to convince her that he's in for the long run. Including running off Rachel's mother's evil boyfriend...
Book 3: Guarding Viktoria
Lee has been discharged for medical reasons and accepts a job to look after Viktoria Jonsdottir the heiress to a billionaire business but who's still waiting for her father to let her shine. Someone is trying to kidnap Viktoria and Lee's work is getting complicated very quickly; baddies chasing them and emotions heating up whilst Lee really should be keeping his cool.
Who doesn't love a man in uniform? The McCallister Military brothers follows Chance, Harris and Lee, three brothers in 3 different branches of the military. These books are easy reads, steamy spice scenes and a good story line in all three! This was my introduction to Leslie North's writing and I look forward to reading more of her work.
As per usual, anything by Leslie North is always good. What I enjoy about her stories are there they are short quick reads. There’s always romance action and a happy ending. They are great quick reads and this is a good collection of books.
