This was a typical hallmark type Christmas story. It was enjoyable, but not necessarily memorable. The cover was what made me want to read/listen to the story.
This is a cute story that should be on TV. It was a light holiday read that felt like watching a Christmas Romance movie and I loved it for its simplicity, cute story, and holiday spirit. I knew that this story would be like this going into it - so I was very pleased. I liked the narrator.
This was an okay Christmas story, the romance wasn't my favorite and the part with the sister didn't feel right to me.
The narration was well done.
I love second chance romances, especially set at Christmas time. This was a cute book. I enjoyed the narration and the story.
Unfortunately, I lost the audiobook download when my NetGalley App glitched so I will not be able to review this properly as it has been archived.
I listened to Meet Me at Christmas by Jenny Hale on Audiobook. It was a small town second chance romance, a mystery to be solved, and a redemption story. Stella Fisher was in London working on an article for her job at a prestigious brain health magazine when she received an anxious call from her mother asking that she come home early for Christmas. Her father had passed away during the year and Stella’s mother was having a tough time gearing up for the holiday. Stella rearranged her obligations so that she could complete her assigned article in Nashville to be home for her mother. Her attempts to reach her younger sister were unsuccessful as she had gone to Costa Rica instead of home. On her way home, Stella inadvertently picked up a beautiful necklace which seemed to match a famous piece called the Christmas Diamond. Stella and her mother worked to learn about the necklace and how to locate its owner. As Stella began to hep her mother and meet her employment obligations brought her back into the sphere of Henry Dutton, the man she had fled from years before. Stella must manage the demands of her job, provide the support her mother needed, process her own grief over the death of her father, solve the mystery of the necklace she had found, and help Henry regain his memories, even if that meant that he would hate her for leaving him. This was a clean romance with an emphasis on the love of family, the miracle of second chances, and the journey of grief. The narrator was engaging and the story delightful, I would recommend this audiobook for listeners who enjoy clean, contemporary romance story. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select, Harpeth Road Press.
Stella is called home to Tennessee to spend Christmas with her Mom after the passing of her Father. While working she runs into the man she left behind years ago. He’s suffered a brain injury in the Army and feels she is the only person who can help him. Is this a blessing in disguise? You’ll have to read it to find out. This is a little Christmas story. Which after the first, I’d say quarter of the book, I thoroughly enjoyed.
Thank you NetGalley and Jenny Hale for my copy of this delightful Christmas story. Which was given to me for my unbiased opinion.
Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.
This was a very sweet story, perfect for the season. The characters were well written and while a little slow at times was still a good read. The narrator did well.
I always get a sneaky little thrill when the title of a book is somehow wound into the story. Meet Me At Christmas nailed that for me with the special meaning between the characters! The story follows main character Stella who returns home to her family’s town of Leiper’s Fork just before Christmas.
Alongside the main plot of Stella and Henry getting to know each other again, is a subplot centring around a piece of jewellery Stella found. It’s a charming and wholesome festive read that will absolutely transport you to a wintery Tennessee!
This one kind of reminded me of a book by Courtney Cole with a main character who had a sort of similar story. It’s called If You Leave. It’s not Christmassy but I’ve noticed that Courtney has quite a few Christmas releases if you’re looking for more!
I’ve been reading Jenny Hale’s books for years so if you’re looking for more festive recommendations check these out

I absolutely loved this sweet Christmas novella!
It is very family centric and focuses on overcoming obstacles together and forgiveness.
This was a very emotional and heartfelt story.
Definitely recommend for some Christmas cheer and spirit
This was a Hallmark-type story that takes place around Christmas. I found it a little depressing. It is a little bit of a mystery and I think you could read it year-round. I wanted to keep reading it to find out what happens. I appreciated that it was a wholesome book with no steam or language. Thanks for the free advance audio.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A family story about love and forgiveness, and moving on. I liked this book but it certainly was not my favorite of author Jenny Hale's. It moved slower than I would have preferred and many parts moved really slow. Hoping for a better read for her next book.
This is a wonderful Christmas story! You hope there will be a happy ending but I will not spoil the surprise! Stella returns home, staying with her mother. This is the first Christmas after her beloved father's death. She is writing on recovery from traumatic brain injury. Imagine her surprise when her former husband is one of the subjects. She is relieved that he doesn't recall her sudden leaving, and regrets not telling him, or anyone, why. She wants to explain herself, but it is very hard. Several other situations happen to add to the drama! It was especially interesting to read about treatments designs to help regain memories.
I appreciate being able to read this advance reader copy. The views expressed are my own.
Nothing gets you in the holiday sprout like a Jenny Hale Christmas book. This one did not disappoint. The family comes back together for the first time without the dad. Heartwarming and enjoying story.

Meet Me at Christmas is a wonderful standalone romance by Jenny Hale. This second chance romance is absolutely magical!
This book gave me all the feels and is perfect for getting in the holiday spirit. There was so much holiday magic sprinkled into this book. This is a sweet read that moves quickly! Definitely one for a cold day by the fireplace or near the Christmas tree!
The narration by Emma Love was wonderful! I loved listening to her bring this book to life!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This fell flat for me, unfortunately. I was looking forward to a small town holiday story, but I just didn't connect with the stories or the characters. The writing style seemed to drag, and didn't seem to progress quickly enough. This one just wasn't for me.
I enjoyed this Christmas romance. It felt a little far fetched at times, but did get tied up with a nice little bow. It was a fun listen.
A must for fans of Hallmark christmas movies. The narrator, Emma Love is fantastic with multiple voices for Stella and Henry.
DNF at 36%.
Unfortunately this title wasn’t for me. I was uncomfortable with the actions taken by Stella, and couldn’t suspend my disbelief effective enough to feel comfortable with the unethical behaviour in which she was engaging. Despite her reasons for leaving, Henry had suffered a significant injury from which he was trying to recover and her behaviour as both someone in the medical field and as a human being was, in my estimation, unforgivable. I was not comfortable to continue with the story confident it would work out in her favour. I think I will be in the minority, as I feel many romance readers are used to these kinds of scenarios, thus will be able to move forward.
In terms of a technical point of view, I felt the book was quite well written and accessible. An easy listen, nothing out of the realm of most people’s reading abilities. The audio narrator was an excellent fit for the story and did a great job of differentiating characters, which I appreciated. I would listen to further audio she narrated.
I am appreciative of the opportunity to receive this title to review and feel it is unfortunate I was unable to complete my listen. I will not be leaving any public reviews of this title.
This one had a few facets that I wasn’t expecting and it really made me like it. Huge critic of Christmas themed books but this one was well done. I love that he couldn’t remember her and he honestly didn’t have to. He was willing to take her for her word and give her a new start. It was cool that they could find a way to help each other and find a way back to each other through so much pain and heartbreak.
