Another exciting thrill ride from Dea Poirier! I loved this book. Talk about twisty with one shock after another right up until the end!! The narrator was great, too, and I kept those ear buds in and devoured this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so gripping! I could not wait to find out what was going on in this book. There were moments that I was convinced Blair was pretending she did not know where her sister was. That ending was so great and unexpected.

Have You Seen Her follows the story of Blair, who rushes across the country to see her estranged sister, Evianna, following a cancer diagnosis. But when she gets there, Evianna has vanished. Blair is thrown into a covert investigation into her sisters' life and she unearths a web of secrets amongst her husband and friends. Blair realises that her sister's life is not as perfect as she thought and worries that the secret from their past might be discovered.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration. I have read a couple of Dea Poirer books previously and have enjoyed them, but something just fell a little flat with this one.

I didn't feel a connection with any of the characters and I think that's probably why I didn't feel as interested. The book was well written, the story just wasn't my favourite.

My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed listening to this one. The story line kept me guessing and guessing, and guessing again. Who dun it? It twisted and it turned. The story was well laid out and the characters were made convincing, so you didn't know who was terrible enough to do this deed. The narrators did a good job, it was easy to listen to and easy to follow. I'm so glad that there are authors out there that came come up with these story lines and keep me entertained.

Wow! Evianna is truly a bag of dicks. No way around that and I am glad that she finally got what was coming to her. This was a wild ride and I yelled at her to get her head out of her ass so many times! She had no regard for her own safety!! This was my 1st book by Dea Poirier and it is definitely not going to be my last!

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick listen and when Blair gets a call from her brother in law that she has never met about her sister missing she rushes back to Florida from Washington state to help search for her. However, Blair isn't sure if her brother in law - Simon is the reason why her sister - Evianna is missing. As the story unfolds its hard to determine what is the truth, what is a lie and what is really going on.

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy

Alright, alright - let's get into this, yeah?

I want to start this off by saying that this book has a lot going on and I usually love that! The problem lies in the fact that I found this story to be repetitive and that caused my brain to spaz out a bit.

This book had me on the edge of my seat in the beginning. A sister gone missing and all the signs are pointing to her being taken out by someone close to her. A husband with anger issues calling for help to find his wife. Sounds right up my alley for a mystery-thriller. But that's where the intrigue ends a bit.

Imagine finding out that your sister is missing, assuming the worst has happened(someone murdering her), and NOT CALLING THE POLICE!? And on top of that you're going to stay with the man(her sister's husband) that you think had something to do with that murder/disappearance? This is where the book went all wrong for me. I couldn't concentrate fully when I kept thinking about the actions of the FMC not adding up with what she was saying. It wasn't just irritating, but it was beyond idiotic. Sorry, not sorry.

That being said, there were twists and turns that I really didn't see coming and that's why this book is getting three stars. This story has so much potential and I really wish that Poirier had strengthened her side characters and given the FMC a backbone. I understand that we needed to make the FMC a bit more meek to fit the earlier timeline of the story, but the decisions that she made while supposedly worrying about her sister made this story fall flat for me.

I want to say that if the characters were more fleshed out, this story could easily be a 4-star for me.

I got irritated with this book before I was very far in. I'm sick of hearing people whine about their poor childhood and criminally neglectful and evil parents. Based on the current spate of books, it is a miracle that anyone makes it to adulthood. I was so disgusted with the childhood flashbacks I quit.

The story started out well, but it wasn't long before the flashback trash started.

I was so frustrated I did not finish the book.

Such a good read! I love suspense/mystery and this one was able to keep me entertained from beginning to end. The twist was so wild that my jaw literally dropped.

I seriously appreciate a good thriller every now and then. This listen had me going back and forth trying to figure out who was guilty for what and in the end everything was created by one person with too much technology!

Have You Seen Her is a fascinating thriller that gives you little nibbles of what’s really happening throughout the book. By the end it’s hard to tell which way is up and which way is down.

It’s not your normal who done it sort of book.

I really enjoyed it and look forward to find other books written by Dea Poirier.

I did receive a copy of the audiobook, free from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed this audio book, the narrator was really good and kept me wanting to listen throughout the story. This one is about 2 sisters, one being, Evianna who was always the golden child who could do no wrong, she was beautiful, smart and was pre-med. It was a struggle being the little sister living in the shadow of Evianna. Even though the relationship was estranged, when Blair gets a call from her sister saying she needs to see her as she has been diagnosed with cancer, Blair drops everything and goes to her. After their weekend visit, Blair is returning home on a flight to Seattle when she gets a call from her brother-in-law saying Evianna is missing. Blair can't believe it as she was just there but she immediately books a flight back to find out where her sister is. Once Blair starts asking questions of her brother-in-law she realises that something bizarre is going on and why has he not reported his wife missing to the police? Only time will tell....Enjoy!!!

The actual story about the missing sister I liked. It was a true psychological thriller in both pacing and my head; I really wasn't sure what was true and if the sister was missing or setting people up as she was later revealed to do. I was hooked from the beginning wondering about the sister and her lies. The MC, though, was such a dumb dumb and really irritated me. I couldn't understand why she wouldn't involve the police or tell anyone and the carrot-stick "excuse" that it was because "she did a bad thing" wasn't sold well (and the reveal to the thing also didn't sell it in retrospect).

The MC was very irritating and tiring with her constant boo hoo about being second fiddle. It is also (overall) irrelevant to the story. The story would be better without this theme or to only mention it once, twice at most, that the MC was "second favorite" or that her sister was the "golden child."

On that note, the mothers character was so overly fictitious (not realistic at all) that it brought the entire reading experience down. I felt the same about the husband. They were so cartoonish and Scooby Doo villains. The husband could be edited to be more realistic and the mother could just be removed; as well as her death. The "twist" at the end would be more impactful without it or if she also confessed to having killed the mother that the MC believes died by suicide.

Note: I grew up with an abusive, narcissistic parent, and the mother here wasn't portrayed accurately. It was the kind of mother that only exists in Hollywood or fiction. Everything a narcissist mother does is deniable. They are rarely so obvious with their abuse. Writing the mother this way is not only incorrect it harms actual victims.

Interesting twisty plot that kept me guessing.

A story about the younger sister Blair was jealous and done with being compared with her big sister Evianna who was charming, smart and mother’s sweetheart.

Evianna was a famous KOL. One day she sent a message to Blair that she’s cancer. Blair was shocked since they didn’t speak with each other over a decade. Still Blair flew to see her. Simon, Evianna’s husband, left a message to Blair telling her Evianna has gone missing.

Then the story revealed lots of secrets, like cheating, faking, terrible lies and so on. It kept me guessing who to trust and what’s next. I went through twice for the twist at the ending. Something new and surprising.

The narrator played out Simon very well. The urge to find his wife and a mixed feelings which was done well to “mislead” us.

It’s interesting that the author talked about some scenes behind being a KOL. We, as audience, always saw the posh side of people., we missed that people only showed their best, instead of sharing every the terrible side to the world.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Decent suspense novel. Some things I didn’t expect and some oddball characters. Simon was such a horrid character. Danika and Valentina were oddballs but nice. Definitely an interesting mix. Enough suspense to keep me interested but not too many surprises.
Overall ok listen. Good job by the narrator.

I had a hard time with this audiobook. I kept waiting for a twist or turn, all to find that none came. I think the ending was an attempt at a plot twist, but I had already guessed it. I really gave this book a fair shot and listened to the entire thing but failed to find it original or captivating.

This is a well written book but I found it hard to get into the story. It’s about siblings one’s a social worker and the other is an influencer. Evianna the influencer goes missing. Blair goes to Florida to find her. Maybe it was the influencer storyline or perhaps I just didn’t find the characters to be likable. I’ll definitely give this authors work another shot but this book wasn’t a favorite.

Blair gets a call that her sister Evainna is missing. Evianna is a social media influencer with millions of followers
When Blair arrives in Florida, she thinks that perhaps Evianna's husband is acting pretty strange. She begins to suspect he may have something to do with her sisters disappearance. Where is her sister? What has Simon done to her? Is she dead or alive?

This is the second book I’ve read by the author and she is very good at keeping me guessing about what happened to a missing character. Full of all types of secrets, between estranged sisters, a recent reconciliation and the sister is now missing, I was on my toes trying to figure out who, if anyone is reliable. It was hard to like any of the characters, but I wanted to know what had and was happening.

While taking place is the present when the MCs sister is missing, this one does delve into the sisters’ past and what led them up to the estrangement. They’ve had a not so perfect childhood and of course there are feelings of resentment that leads up to their estrangement.

I both listened and read this one and loved Amelia Sciandra’s narration. She really brought the story to life and kept me wanting more.

If you like a good childhood drama domestic suspense, you need to read this one.

Have You Seen Her?
Dea Poirier
Two sisters, Evianna is the eldest, she is beautiful, smart and the shining star of the family. Blair knows she will always come in second to her eldest sister. The sisters have not spoken in years. Blair is a social worker and desires to fix things, people and situations. Evianna is an influencer. Simon, Evianna’s husband, contacts Blair and asks her to come to Orlando because her sister is missing. Simon doesn’t seem to care that his wife is missing, he is concerned with her fans and contracts.
Blair begins the search for her sister. She discovers all is not rosy in her sister’s marriage. Simon threatens Blair and physically harms her. Could he be responsible for his wife’s disappearance or even her death. He insists they not report Evianna missing. Blair has a secret; she is concerned that Simon may know the secret and may try to use it against her.
This is a psychological thriller. Blair is the narrator throughout the story. The story moves back and forth through present day and Blair’s childhood through her college years. The sisters did not have a good relationship.
I have mixed feelings concerning this tale. I did not like the characters. Blair grew on me as I got into the book. The more I knew about Evianna, Simon, and Evianna’s friends the less I liked them. I had no sympathy for them. The mother of Blair and Evianna was a nasty b***h. I know very little about influencer, but I don’t think it is something I would ever want to do. On one hand the author brought out emotion in me. On the other hand, I wasn’t fond of the characters, and I sort of figured out the who-dun-it before it was dun.
