Nicole Trope is one of my favourite author's her books never disappoint. This book was no exception, full of twists, turns and thills. I'm looking forward to the next book from this talented writer.

This is one of those books that you need to clear your whole schedule for because every time you say one more chapter or one more page you end up reading a whole lot more. Its so suspenseful and keeps leaving you on cliff hangers which prevent you from putting it down. It was an amazing book and if you haven't already read it you need to do so fast. Nicole knows how to do psychological thrillers for sure and she did not disappoint in this one.

In the beginning of this book I couldn’t put it down. It kept drawing me in, wanting to know what happened at this party. I can say it didn’t expect the ending the way it happened. I really wished that the ending would have been better. Like the secret really wasn’t anything amazing in my eyes. Who needs enemies when your friends do this type of stuff. All in all Leah deserved what she got in the end!!

All Katelyn wanted as the perfect birthday. She wakes up in the hospital unable to remember anything. Her best friend hates her and her husband says nothing happened but the way he says it is off putting to say the least! i couldn't put it down!

Nicole Trope's "The Day After the Party" proved to be a compelling page-turner!

Katelyn's birthday celebration turns into a mystery when she wakes up in the hospital with amnesia, unable to recall the events of the previous night. Her husband, Toby, and best friend, Leah, appear to be concealing something, and as Katelyn pieces together fragments of memories a web of intrigue unfolds. Amidst the uncertainty, questions linger about Leah's ex-husband and the promised gallery funds.

The writing style immerses the reader and skilfully invites us to unravel the full picture of that fateful night. "The Day After the Party" was my introduction to Trope's work, and I'm already looking forward to exploring more of her novels.

Every book I have read by this author I have loved and ended up reading in one or two sittings. This book "The Day After the Party" by Nicole Trope was no different and it was another excellent book especially as it was full of twists and turns throughout that just had you gripped from the very first page till the end. It was fast paced and a great page turner which made it a great quick read, great for your holidays or your day off.

The perfect birthday or the perfect nightmare?

How exciting, I love birthdays........Katelyn smiles around at her husband and all her friends, they are all gathered to her beautiful house to celebrate her thirty-sixth birthday. Katelyn's home is all decorated with fairy lights and every one twinkles, it all looks so pretty. But the very next day Katelyn wakes up shaken and terrified in a hospital bed….....How did she get here?

She doesn’t remember the sweet taste of birthday cake icing, or how angry her best friend was at midnight, or the terrible things her husband said.

She doesn’t remember the party at all. What happened?

I loved the secrets and twist and turns in this book, but at times I thought the cliffhangers were a bit too much yet that made me want to keep reading 😆. I

THE DAY AFTER THE PARTY by Nicole Trope was a serious page turner that kept me reading well past bedtime.

Katelyn celebrates her birthday with a big party that she can’t even remember. No, not from drinking, she comes to the next day in the hospital with amnesia to the whole event. Her husband, Toby and best friend, Leah seem to be hiding something from her about what happened last night. And didn’t Leah’s ex-husband say he would provide the money to open her own gallery? Katelyn struggles to put the pieces together even while different scenes flash through her mind; a whisper here, a look there, call logs. Was her amnesia caused by stress, or anxiety or was it something she did or saw?

It was very fun to see how the different flashes fit into the full picture of what really went down that night. I really enjoyed Ms. Trope’s writing style and could feel myself dancing away and lifting a glass in celebration. I believe that this is my first Nicole Trope novel but it certainly will not be my last.

This book was a real miss for me. The concept was so promising, but its execution just fell flat.

But a 30-something year old woman who convinces herself (and thinks she can convince those around her) that she can just switch places with her best friend? Be the mom to her friend's child and just become her husband's new wife? Just trade places and it's all cool? WHAT ON EARTH.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC. My first book by this author and I enjoyed this quick, easy, but fun domestic thriller.

I liked it. The timeline is identified at the beginning of each of the short, easily read chapter. Does anyone really ever know another person well enough to know how they’ll react in any given situation? Despite being best friends forever, Katelyn and Leah really weren’t very honest with each other. I flew through it.

Firstly thankyou to @netgalley & the publisher for a ARC of this new thriller! So sorry the review is late I've been in a reading slump which has finally ended!

I love the cover of this book! This is my first time reading anything by Nicole Trope. I love a fast paced thriller and this was exactly that. Toxic friendships always make a good thriller. I wasn't keen on any of the characters, not sure why, but I am glad I'm not friends with any of them in real life.
I'm interested in picking up more books by this author in the future and I'm not sure why I haven't stumbled across her before now!

Could not keep my attention. Just seemed very all over the place. Probably could’ve been a different pov to help it along. I tried several times. It ended up being a DNF for me.

Oh my god this book is insane! It is full of twists honestly Im in shock! Extremely addictive and hard to put down, you will literally keep reading non stop till that very last page.
This author sure knows how to write a best seller!

The Day After the Party was a good, twisty thriller!

Katelyn has a party for her 36th birthday and ends up waking up in the hospital not remembering anything from the party! Leah's ex husband sends a weird text message that Katelyn sees when she wakes up.
When she asks her husband what happened at the party he says "Nothing" but Katelyn knows he's not being honest.

The story also jumps between past and present day with Lean and Katelyns friendship.

Overall a good thriller! Easy and quick read! I didn't connect with any of the characters. The book didnt make me feel connected at all -- so 3 stars.

So much drama! You have secrets, lie, adultery, postpartum depression; it's all there! This book definitely had my heart racing and it was so tense! I absolutely devoured this one.

This book was a good read, however at some points it did not keep my attention and some was predictable I would read another book by this author.

Katelyn wakes up the day after her birthday party in the hospital with amnesia. From the beginning this book was great!!! I felt like wow, I literally can’t put this book down. I finished it so quickly! Some parts really shocked me. I really liked the alternate timelines and the character development of Katelyn and Leah. I just sat there in disbelief of how good the twists were!!!

Silver snowflakes, winter wonderland, secrets unfurling, a trip to the hospital and an unforgettable party! Leah and Katelyn have been the best of friends since they were 6 years old but the day after the party something happens that changes everything.

This was an interesting read! 5/5
