This book is very academic. It's topic led me to pick it up, but it was a slow, dense read. I think this book would be much more suitable to an academic rather than a casual reader.

This excellent account of the history and rise of the tea party and related movements belongs on every historian's shelf. The authors give details and sources that show the extent of their research. It is not an easy book to read cover to cover as I attempted to do, but I am more knowledgeable now about how the organizers of these movements hoodwinked gullible people into joining their cause and hardened their beliefs to the point that they no longer seemed to be able to think for themselves. Scary stuff.
