As we approach the holidays let the holiday reading begin! This contribution by Fern Michaels is an upbeat story about four friends, four strong successful women, who decide to spend another New Year’s Eve together. There is a parallel that runs between “Out with the old, in with the New” and Santa and Company. While these four women are tight, they don’t always get along. But New Year’s Eve seems to bring them together one way or the other.
This was a nice read, quick, quirky with all the bows and ribbons of a great story. It’s about friendship, and about how we can all grow and change and make the friendship stronger, and it’s about the wonder and sometimes challenging times of the holidays.
Thanks to Kensington and Netgalley for the ARC. This is a reflection of my thoughts alone.
Fast and easy light reading. This is the second book with these people and I didn’t read the first. No problem following this as it stands alone quite well.
The 2nd book in the Santa's Crew series... When the 4 longtime friends get together for a post Christmas holiday trip, mystery and fun ensue. Stalked by a frienemy, tripped up an injured by snowshoes, a rescue by a dog and his semi famous master, joined by their significant others, The group rescues the resort kitchen on New Years Eve, and new friends are made. This is a sweet, positive feel-good holiday book. But don't be fooled by the name or the cover, this really isn't a Christmas book.
I enjoyed this lighthearted cute Christmas book. This is sort of a follow up to last year book Santa Cruise. I do think this book can be read as a stand alone as the author does a recap. You will follow the four friends as they getaway for New Year’s Eve . Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the E-ARC. This is my own opinion.
The four friends from The Santa Cruise (Frankie, the bossy organizer; Amy, the sweet professor; Nina, the creative actress/writer; Nina, the mischievous dancer) decide it is time for another reunion. This time they decide to go to Tahoe for New Year's Eve. Each of them have some things to work on - relationships, careers, etc. Frankie and Rachel are on the outs so will Rachel show up? Will there be drama?
Fern Michaels does a good job with Holiday romance. This gets 4 stars on my holiday romance scale.
Thanks to NetGalley for an eGalley of this title.
Santa and Company is the second book in Fern Michaels Santa’s Crew series. This novel reunites Nina Hunter, Amy Blanchard, and Frankie Capella for a holiday reunion in Lake Tahoe two years after their Christmas cruise. Rachael Newmark has also been invited but has not said whether or not she will be joining them. However, the mischievous Rachael not only comes to Tahoe but has arrived a day early, gotten her own small room, and made a friend of the concierge, Randy, who is secretly guiding her in her efforts to play simple pranks on her friends.
As the ladies enjoy time spent together as well as investigating their own interests, they continue to see two out of the ordinary women near them but never fully. One is in a small blue car that Nina believes followed her from LA, the other just a wisp caught out of the corners of their eyes.
The ladies are having a good time until Frankie goes missing. She had taken a snowshoeing trail but had not returned and wasn’t answering her phone. As the group panicked, the fellows in their lives were alerted and made a mad dash to meet up in Tahoe.
This is an entertaining story about friendship and counting on those friends. I did enjoy this book and do recommend it.
Santa and Company by Fern Michaels combines a Christmas get together by friends with romance at famous lodge. Flirtation, unusual encounters and relationship growth are all witnessed. Good Christmas story.
Fern Michaels gets readers ready for the holiday season. Last year it was with a cruise and now, the friends are Tahoe bound. Shenanigans ensue with a chef caper, disappearance, stalker and a surprise encounter. If you're ready for holiday hijinks, Michaels delivers a cozy read.
Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early edition of #SantaandCompany in exchange for an honest review. I grew up reading Fern Michaels books and my mom introduced me to her books.
Santa and Company reunites longtime friends Amy, Frankie, Rachael and Nina. After the four of them had such a good time on a singles cruise two years before, they decided to reunite in Lake Tahoe over New Year's. This trip is filled with shenanigans like the previous book, and there is a lot going on in each of the women's lives. This was a fun story, even if a few of the story lines involving Rachael and Nina seemed a bit out there. I always enjoy a good Fern Michaels book, and this was no exception!
Thank you NetGalley, Kensington Books, Kensington and Fern Michaels for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Santa and Company by Fern Michaels ⭐⭐⭐
This was book 2 in a series. Although it can stand alone, I would have preferred to read book 1 first. Its not a Christmas book, not even a mention of Santa but a New Years Eve book.
Book 1 is about 4 girlfriends going on a cruise and meeting Boyfriends. Book 2 the girls decide to have a girls holiday in Lake Tahoe between Christmas and New Years and leaving the men home alone. Frankie, who isn't an outdoors person decides to try snowshoeing for the first time. Well she falls and is stuck in the snow in the woods alone. Her phone is buried in the snow, can't call for help. How long will she sit in the snow before they find her? Will she survive?
Its a slow burn but its a cute ending. All about friends showing up for one another. Although I only gave it 3 stars, I still think you should read it.
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review and this is only my opinion.
Another cute, interesting book by Fern Michaels. A great holiday read that will hold your interest. It was a quick read for me.
“Santa and Company” is the reuniting of longtime friends Amy, Frankie, Rachael and Nina. They had spent New Year’s Eve on a holiday singles cruise two years before. Life has happened and they had not been able to spend much time with each other so they decide on a New Year’s Eve trip to Lake Tahoe to reconnect. Everyone is excited except for Frankie’s significant other and Rachael who feels that she has been abandoned in her time of need. Rachael’s time of need appears to be all the time. The three set out of their adventure not knowing if Rachael will come or not. Strange things begin to happen in Lake Tahoe and they all begin to wonder if Rachael might be behind it.
Fern Michael’s provides a great winter time snuggle up by fireplace reading experience. “Santa and Company” is full of laughs, drama and a touch of mystery. The scenes during the story describe Tahoe and make you want to schedule a trip. Rachael was distracting for me. I felt she was in the need of serious mental health help and no real direction of what or why she was doing these things. In the beginning of the story, there is a whole chapter describing Lake Tahoe. If felt like I was reading an advertisement instead of the story. There were several other places that felt like information or a storyline was just dropped in places with no real purpose.
Thank you NetGalley, Kensington Books, Kensington and Fern Michaels for the ARC in exchange for my honest review
A fun story involving four friends, Amy, Frankie, Rachael and Nina, who reunite for a girl’s getaway during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Things don’t go quite as planned and the getaway has a much different ending than they had ever imagined. A story of forgiveness, friendships and relationships strengthened, new beginnings, new friendships, and more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Frankie and her friends decide to go on vacation during the holiday season. While on vacation they catch up on their lives. I enjoyed this book and getting to know the characters.
The ongoing antics of Frankie, Amy, Rachael and Nina are back and they decide it time for another reunion. This time it’s in Lake Tahoe, but Rachael had a falling out with Frankie and even though she was invited hadn’t planned on going. But everything seemed to go against all Rachael hopes and wishful thinking and she decides to surprise her friends. Ever the prankster she has a few tricks up her sleeve. Nina has just lost her job and Amy is offered her dream job, Frankie is hoping for the next step in her relationship with her boyfriend.
As you probably get with my brief insight, a lot is going on with this story. Really helped that I read the 1st book, so I knew the characters already. Fun gal pals, fun story even if Rachael seems a little out there, Fast enjoyable read. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #SantaandCompany
Thank you NetGalley, Fern Michaels and Kensington Books for the copy of Santa and Company. This is my personal review.
Amy, Frankie, Rachael and Nina have been friends for years. They are back together a few years after going on a holiday single cruise. This cruise changed their lives and now they are back together at a ski lodge at Lake Tahoe.
This book is a quick fun read that connects them together even more.
The story is filled with fun, love, friendship, a little mystery, and bonding together even more. I really like all the characters in this book.
I enjoyed this book, and it makes me look forward to the next book the
Santa's Crew series.
The friends Amy, Frankie, Nina and Rachael are planning another get together. Frankie and Rachael have been on the outs lately. So, only Amy, Frankie and Nina are set for the trip to Tahoe. Nina leaves LA for the trip to Tahoe and thinks someone is following her car. Amy was in California for a job interview; but decides the job isn't for her. Frankie flies in think her long-term boyfriend is losing interest.
Rachael arrives early without telling the others she is coming and sets out to play some pranks on the group. There is a lot of mystery a foot and Rachael is not the only one causing problems.
When Frankie goes missing the men show up to help search for her and spend New Years eve with their ladies.
Overall a good read with some interesting twist from Fern.
Santa and Company by Fern Michaels
Story starts out with the past cruise the gang all got together.
This year they are planning ladies only days in Tahoe. Only three are going but a fourth was invited.
Love hearing what they all do for career and how they find time to relax.
Problem arise when one gets injured, fourth shows up and it's new years eve. Creepy, scary things pop up out of nowhere... Stalkers are following one of them...
Love the location and especially all the activities. Fashion and food are described in detail also, love this. Lots of twists and turns
Love the charity work, as a team they can do anything.
Love these holiday reads, they are so involved.
Received this review copy from Kensington Books, Kensington via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

A sweet holiday story to start your a season! When four friends depart on a holiday vacation without their significant others, shenanigans ensue. It's a lighthearted and cute story about friends, commitments, and empathy. When an accident occurs, the boyfriends break all odds to support their gals. When the weather affects New Year's Eve plans this group of friends band together to save the holiday.
Although I received a free ARC ebook from Net Galley and the publisher, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
