What can I say.... I have loved every one of the Pine Mountain books and this one certainly did not disappoint. It may be because I live in Virginia, but I feel like I should be living in Pine Mountain and these people should all be my friends! This book features Brennan from the Double Shot bar. He is the bar manager and we saw him in the last Pine Mountain book. He is carrying a lot of secrets around and keeps his distance from just about everyone. Ava was his first love and she has a bunch of issues of her own, but runs into Brennan after 7 years when a fire breaks out in the grocery store, Brennan drives by, his past as a firefighter kicks in, and he rescues a young boy trapped in the fire. Ava is now a journalist from the next town over, Riverside, and as she drives by, sees what's happening. She wants to write a story about it and realizes that her first boyfriend is the one who saved the child's life. This is how the story kicks off. The characters were great, fleshed out for me in just enough back story to feel for them. I really enjoyed their journey and as always love my time in Pine Mountain. Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for letting me read this ARC for an honest review.
All wrapped up (Pine mountain book 7)

Everyone deserves love!
In book 7 of Kimberly Kincaid’s pine mountain book series. Nick and Ava are the definition of a second chance romance with heartbreak inner weaved. She’s a reported and the one who ran from her feelings. Nick left the job he loved after a tragedy he blames himself for. It’s amazing to see what happens when the come together. Pure chemistry and compassion. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
Authors Blurb: Ingredients:
One former firefighter who’s hiding out, managing a small-town bar so he can forget his haunted past
One headstrong reporter a.k.a. the woman who got away assigned to break the story when he runs into a burning building to save a little boy
Seven years since they’ve seen each other after their scorching summer fling
Stir in old hurts, brand-new chemistry that burns hotter than ever, and his sister’s Christmas wedding, where his past becomes the story of the century.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
I enjoy books written by Kimberly Kincaid and this one didn't disappoint.
Storyline was great, writing excellent.
Ava was the one who got away, will she stay this time.
Nick Brennan and Abby Mancuso knew each other once a long time ago and no one was more shocked than Abby when she walked into a fire in progress and there was Nick saving a young boy's life. She knew that he wanted to be a firefighter and was glad that he got his dream come true job. But that was not the case when she found him working as the bar manager at The Double Shot and that he did not want his name in the press and denied he was a hero everyone was saying he was. Those long-ago feelings started to flame between the two once lovers. Could the past and its secrets they both held get them to a future together once those secrets came into the present.
There are lots of secrets and passion between these two and I love how the love they had for each other in the past kept them wanting to make a future together. It was a book filled with angst and some tragedy but what is that old saying ‘the truth will set you free’. Nick and Abby had a lot of past to work through even though some of it was hard to read about, the story kept me turning the page to find out what would happen next. Great small town read with lots of wonderful characters we have met from the other books in this series and where you want to pull up a chair at the bakery or the bar and feel at home.
I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
Nick Brennan walked away from the firefighter career he always wanted when his best friend and fire partner Mason was killed while fighting a fire. Two years later, Nick was caught off guard when he saved a small child from a certain death in the local grocery store and all of a sudden, the press was all over him trying to get a piece of his soul. Ava Mancuso met Nick seven years ago during the summer after college. When things got too close for comfort, she fled to parts unknown. Now both of them are meeting again…. This time she is a reporter…
All Wrapped Up grabs your heart and takes it for a roller coaster ride! Loved the book.

When Ava a reporter sees ex firefighter Nick, at a bar she needs him to break a story.
This was really great. There was so much attraction but loads of friction between Ava and Nick that I just found it hard to put it down. They were an interesting pair especially when they had an agenda.
Well written and fun characters that made the book well worth reading. The plot was well done. Highly recommended!
In this book, Kimberly Kincaid wraps up her popular Pine Mountain series and launches a new one about first responders. For a fan of the series, that makes All Wrapped Up a little bit bitter sweet. I love Brennan and Ava but I'll miss Tegan and Adrian, Carley and Jackson, Shawn and Bellamy and the rest of my friends from Pine Mountain.
This installation of the Pine Mountain saga is about second chances. A pair of young lovers meet again after seven years apart They've both done a lot of living since and they're a little worse for the wear, but the spark is still there, if only Ava's need for a story for her paper which Brennan's secrets from the past won't let him tell don't ruin the romance before it has a chance to rekindle.
Most of the residents of Pine Mountain we've come to love in the last six books come from a troubled past which has left them scarred and unwilling to trust and this pair are no exception. Encountering so many battle-scarred survivors might feel contrived or manipulative, but Kincaid has lovingly crafted all of them and every one of her Pine Mountain characters is a full blown individual so completely their own person that their love stories are unique despite the surface similarities.
Brennan and Ava are no different. I couldn't wait to find out why Ava walked away, what Nick was hiding, whether she'd be able to get her big story without sacrificing the relationship she and Nick were beginning to rebuild and her own integrity.
So how does it all work out? That would be cheating, but it is Christmas ... a time for family, and love, and new beginnings.
If you're looking for a story that will make you smile, and cry, and end up feeling good about the world, grab an eggnog, a snuggly blanket and a copy of All Wrapped Up and spend a few hours in Pine Mountain. You will love it.
This was a good story however I felt the romance was predictable. What really interested me was the human interest part especially Brennan’s firefighter story. While the reader does get some background into Ava‘s background, it is not as in depth as Brennan’s story.
A deeply tortured wounded hero features in “All Wrapped Up”, by Kimberly Kincaid, getting involved with a feisty, driven journalist in a beautiful romantic relationship.
Nick/Brennan is the epitome of the stoic wounded hero: living with constant pain, carrying the weight of grief, guilt and remorse. All wrapped up in a cloak of handsomeness and sexiness.
The author really highlights constantly the permanent pain the hero lives with making his physical and mental tribulations an important dimension of the story.
It’s a very enjoyable and realistic approach to the wounded hero hero, often becoming a celebration of the trope.
I liked the romance between Ñick and Ava, both sweet and sexy (although I could live with fewer sex scenes), and its backstory. I felt their love was beautiful.
I appreciated Ava’s dedication to her career, and the honesty about her feelings and emotions.
I found the elements about the leads’ careers also interesting, as well as the dilemmas and tension between private/public, family and romance/job.
Overall I liked the depiction of Ava’s work, but the secrecy about the fire was a bit incongruent.
The tendency for a hyperbolic style sometimes was a bit frustrating but all in all this is a very pleasurable read.
Goodreads: 9/10/23.
I'd forgotten when I read this book that I'd actually read another book in the Pine Mountain series a month or so ago. It didn't really matter either way though as this book works fine as a standalone.
All wrapped up is a second chance romance, seven years ago Ava and Nick, or Brennan as he calls himself now were in love. But Ava couldn't cope with the intensity of their romance due to the scars of her past, so she ran away. Since then many things have happened to Brennan and he's been left with both physical and mental scars.
I enjoyed this second chance romance, I wasn't sure that I completely bought, or understood Ava's reasons for leaving the first time around, but they weren't anything that was a deal breaker and stopped them from being together now.
Brennan has a lot of things that he needs to deal with before he can be fully himself or with Ava. I really liked the way that she bought him out of himself, even if I could see the eventual fall out coming. All's well that ends well though.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.
All Wrapped Up was a pull at your heartstrings well written entertaining story with a gritty plot likeable characters hot combustible chemistry and a constant rollercoaster of twists and turns with never ending drama this is a must read.
All good books are made in their characters, and Nick Brennan and Ava Mancuso are two of the best characters I've read in a long time. And I read a lot of romance books of all sorts. I must have 10 Kimberly Kincaid books on my Kindle, but this is the first one I've finished--the rest are waiting for me to write this review.
A lifetime has happened since these two lost each other 7 years ago, a product of her fear and his tragedy. So, when Nick/Brennan becomes a local hero, reporter Ava needs to see him to get the story for her local paper. They have lived in nearby towns for 2 years but haven't run across each other, as both keep their heads down and work most of the time. He is actively hiding from his past. Their romance comes to life immediately, but so do all their fears. They comfort each other so sweetly. But there is more chaos to come, and they eventually get through it. The details of how they do it and those that help them get there are deliciously well-written. I owe Ms. Kincaid an apology and about a hundred hours of reading time!
Thanks to NetGallery for an ARC of this story. I wrote and posted this review voluntarily.
A broody hot male, guilt eating him alive and a reporter. You sort of know where this is headed based on that., or so you think, I am pleased that each time I thought it was going to be the same ol same ol, the author went a different way. Rest assured this can be read as a stand alone with no problems. If your like me you will want to go read the books before this and move to Pine Mountain, The extra curricular activity sizzles off the pages, but interest is always in the plot, the emotions, the characters. Ava our reporter doesn't come from an easy past. Her ethics and tenacity reign supreme. I absolutely loved how she dealt with Brennan, the good and the bad. I must say Brennan gave me whip lash a time or too. I have to say I am in love with secondary characters (they are in a previous book I will have to read). As always Kimberly Kincaid entertains and throws a few twists, Thank you for the arc! I feely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #AllWrappedUp #KimberlyKincaid #KimberlyKincaidRomance #NetGalley

WOW -This book was 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the Arc and for giving me the chance to read and give my honest review.
The book Follows our FMC Ava who is an aspiring journalist. One mistake on a story early in her career put a halt to her reporting on big stories. She lives in a small town where barley anything happens so stories where she can prove herself are hard to come by.
A large fire in the town causes chaos and all local journalists are trying to pin this story down.
Nick Brennan our MMC is an ex firefighter, one fateful day not only did he lose his career but his best friend. Living in a small town running the local bar, he just lives his life because he is still haunted by those past events. A large local store fire changes everything, his instincts kick in and have him running head on in to a burning building to save a child.
His quiet life is turned upside down, berated every day by reporters so they can get the next big story.
One of those reporters is Ava whom Nick knows very well. They had a relationship years ago when Ava ran out on Nick, not leaving an answer as to why and never looking back.
Now, Ava needs this story to launch her career and she is hoping Nick will forgive her and let her land this story.
This was such an emotional heartfelt book one of forgiving and second chances. This will pull at your heartstrings - it’s such a rollercoaster of emotions and is a great end to a series.
🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍
This book was one wild ride. As soon as there is a reporter character and a hidden story of some kind, it's pretty certain that the story will be full of surprises. Ms. Kincaid does not disappoint, writing an intense, detailed tale centered around Ava (newspaper reporter with ambition and ethics) and Brennan (bar manager with secrets in his past). I really enjoyed how Ms. Kincaid brings a detailed sense of place to wherever a scene is happening - makes this reader feel like a fly on the wall, able to observe everything. And she is equally skilled at describing her characters' emotional states, as if the reader was inside the characters' minds. I had a short career as a emergency medical technician, and I was really impressed with how realistic the emergency scenes felt and how she captured the personal interactions that are part of that kind of team situation. I can imagine this novel making a terrific movie, since reading the book practically felt like watching the story unfold like a movie in my head. A movie where I could take the time to really get every detail and every emotion. And not to give anything away, but I must mention that the denouement was particularly outstanding - all the I's dotted, t's crossed, and so believable.
I enjoyed this love story about Ava and Brennan who reunited after Ava ghosted on Brennan years earlier. They both have secrets that need to come out and their path to HEA is challenging. Secrets never stay secret forever and Brennan must confront his past. He isn’t the only one not being completely honest. Their story is sweet and well written. It is a standalone but reading the previous books would make it more enjoyable. I was given an arc but this is my honest review. I would recommend this book.
I think this is a fine book and probably an entertaining series (although this is the only one I've read so far). The spice was good and well written but I feel like some of the other parts of the book were overly flowery and unnecessary (like the descriptions of walking - stabbing his boots into the linoleum).
I thought the connection between characters and their relationships were good and natural.
I'd recommend this series to anyone wanting a quick, entertaining read.
Thank you to Kimberly Kincaid and Netgalley for this eARC!
This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read
Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the advance copy. of this book. All Wrapped Up by Kimberly Kincaid was the first book I have read from this author. When I started reading this book I didn't realize it was a series with books before it, I will 100% be reading the other books in the series. I liked the main characters and how their story unfolded, This book was entertaining everyone was real and the situations were relatable to people.
I loved reading Brennan and Ava's story. I was rooting for them throughout the whole book. I knew that Brennan was in a lot of pain. Both physical and emotional. Ava was wonderful with him. She helped to relieve some stress to take care of the physical pain. And listened and told him what a good man he is to get through the emotional pain. To tell you the truth, that was the only flaw I saw. Ava gives so much and Brennan is shown giving much at all. It felt like a poor Brennan story a lot of the time.
