The premise of Just in Case You Ever Feel Alone is very simple, yet the message it highlights is monumental. This heartwarming book reminds us that sometimes we just need to know how much someone cares. It is a reminder that someone is always there for you. The illustrations are top notch, as well. The soft colors chosen for the illustrations reflect a calm feeling.

In fact, I think this would be a great book not just for children, but for adults too. Let's face it, being an adult is tough and this would be a sweet pick-me-up gift.

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Publishers for the opportunity to read this book.

This is a terrific book. It really speaks to my heart, and empowers my mind. Max Lucado has done it again. Illustrations really were engaging and conveyed the heart of the book. - Maureen Healy, PT Blogger, and author of The Emotionally Healthy Child

The artwork in this book matches its intention to bring comfort and love to children, as the main characters are bears who have a cozy home life and seem to enjoy each others' company through various activities throughout the pictures. Of course, this book is a religious book, with the goal of teaching children that they are loved not only by their families but also by a Creator/God. Though I am not a religious person, by choice, I can appreciate the comforting intention of teaching a child that they are loved through the ups and downs of life. I don't believe I will buy this book for myself but I really loved the illustrations and hope to find another book with the same illustrator so I can enjoy more of her beautiful artwork in a book that I would buy for my own child.

The message of this book is a good one and the illustrations are so cute but the rhyming is a little clunky and it just didn't flow very well, sadly.

From the same author and illustrator that gave us the classic children’s book Just In Case You Ever Wonder comes the perfect follow up story for a new generation, Just In Case You Ever Feel Alone. With the same themes of a parent’s unconditional love for their child and God’s never failing presence, along with the warm illustrations of familiar animal characters, this story just begs to be read to a child as he sits on your lap feeling loved and protected. It is another instant classic, written in the unique Max Lucado style. I recommend this book for the child in your life. Neither of you will tire of reading it.
“Even though I’m by your side,
sitting right next to you,
can you guess what’s even better?
God is right here too!”

Max Lucado is a beloved author in our home. We love the way he writes so that even the littlest child can understand. This book was no exception. We received this as an ebook ARC and I can’t wait to add the book to our home library. This wonderful story helps children understand feelings they might not know how to understand. The book shares with children that our parents/guardians are always there for us and always with us, and that God is always with us too. It helps children understand that everyone can have a time when they feel lonely and they may not understand those feelings. They may have a day where it seems to last forever, things go wrong or they just struggle to learn new things. This book shows how many wonderful and different ways they are loved and cared about. The wonderful message that “God put us together. He made us a home” is so meaningful to our family. It shares that God knows everything about you and how your days can be great or days can be hard, but we have each other to get through it all. I love when it shares ways they “love everything about you. The beautiful artwork adds to the calm and comforting feeling this book shares to our little ones. Your family will love this book. It can make a great gift as well.

I love reading children’s books, but this one seemed a bit haphazard to me. The illustrations were gorgeous, however the text seemed a bit all over the place. I did like the concept of always being there when a child felt alone or needing help, but comparisons appeared off. Also, there was more emphasis on God than I expected. This book will not be for all people, for that reason.

Thank you, Thomas Nelson, for the advance reading copy.

This book provides a lot of comfort with both the written words as well as with the dreamy illustrations.
I just love how this children’s book is aiming to comfort kids who feel anxious or confused. I do feel this book will also comfort the adult reading along with.
Yes, we are never alone. This book guarantees that.

Nice rhyming comfort words for young children to assure them Jesus is always with them. Reading aloud fun. Cute illustrations. This would be a book I'd love to have and to read to children.

Our children can feel alone on any given day. This sweet book will bring comfort and security to you and your child reminding that they are not alone. The illustrations are vivid and powerful. It will be a favorite because it is designed to bring parents and their children closer to each other and to God.

Will make a great gift this Christmas season.

A special thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

I have no words for how good this book is. The words are just too perfect for words as a parent. The pictures are sweet, simple, but beautiful. The recommended age is younger, but truly from my 3 year old to my nearly 10 year old I can picture saying these things to them. I can even picture my mother saying it to me and I'm 39. The attention to detail and the simple things that happen as a child that may seem so big are all covered. Even as adults, we all need the reminder that God is always there and this book does it impeccably well. This is a must buy!

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for giving me this eArc to review.

This is a nice little book about feeling alone. I expected it more to be about grief and knowing your loved one is still there in memories and such.

This had a very heavy focus on god.
