The Rom-Commer's is another great book by Katherine Center! It made me laugh and want to be in LA writing a screen play with Charlie and Emma. It's fun from the beginning to the end and now I can't wait for Katherine's next book. I eagerly wait for her books each summer!

I read/listened to the audio and Patti Murin did a wonderful job. She's so expressive and is very enjoyable to listen to.

This has become my new favorite Katherine Center book! I loved the characters, she builds them so it feels like I'm right there with them. I also love enemies-to-lovers themes, and this one fell right into that. It also provided an interesting look at how different people approach romance (as a book and in real life) and how life circumstances shaped it. If you want a softer story with lots of touching moments, without being too serious, I would recommend The Rom-Commers.

Katherine Center does it again! The Rom-Commers is a burst of joy and a love letter to the romance genre! Charlie and Emma have a slow burn chemistry that feels real and relatable. Her voice shines and makes the reader feel like their best friend is telling one of their best stories ever in a first person past POV. Cannot wait for what’s to come and so thankful I got a chance to read this!

If I'm being honest, I didn't realize this was an SMP book, or I wouldn't have requested it.

I love the way Katherine Center writes romance. I adore her leading ladies. Most of the time, I adore her leading men too. But Charlie was not it. He was condescending and moody and I know he’s a tortured writer but I just felt like Emma forgave him a few too many times and all too easily. It was giving me flashbacks to my own past unhealthy relationships and I just don’t want that invading the fantasy in a rom com i’m reading. Like I know I was meant to swoon a bit over Emma helping Charlie overcome his shit but, no? Get a therapist?

The best part for me was actually Emma’s family. Her dad’s health issues were a prominent part of the story line and I feel like it was done well and actually felt accurate (from a nurse perspective). Her dad warned my heart. The fight with her sister crushed me though.

Emma heads to Hollywood to help a brooding, famous screenwriter fix his rom-com script, and the sparks (and laughs) fly!✨ The Hollywood setting had me hooked from the start—I'm always a sucker for that vibe! Though I know some might not love the third act breakup, I was completely won over by the chemistry, pacing, and fantastic characters. 💫 Honestly, it gave me all the nostalgia feels while still feeling fresh and fun! If you’re in the mood for a rom-com with all the classic beats, this one’s for you!

This book was an absolute delight for me! It made me laugh. And, it made me cry. Katherine Center will most likely be an auto read for me every time. I love her character development, the witty banter - all of it. It was just an overall feel-good story.

I loved this book SO MUCH! There were so many parts I wanted to highlight and keep forever! A beautiful story of loving the life you're given!

I received this for review from the publisher. A very funny and entertaining story. Katherine Center really can write excellent dialogue and banter between characters. Not only that but she put some quotable text in this story that made a big impact at the end. I even wrote them down to save and I very rarely save any quotes from a book. A lively enemies to lovers story and all the chaos that comes with life, jobs and family.

Katherine Center is now an auto-buy author for me. I am head over heels IN LOVE with this book. Katherine genuinely knows how to write the most fleshed out characters that you just end up loving with your entire heart. Emma and Charlie have flaws, but I just adored them.

Most people would look at the cover of this book and think, "oh just another fluffy romance novel", but that's the thing I have realized I love about Katherine Center. She writes romance books full of emotion. The Rom-Commers is so much more than just a rom-com about two writers falling in love... it's about family, grief, and believing in love and the good about life.

Emma is such an amazing character and I just love her to pieces. She has had so much sadness in her life, but she still looks at life with a bright attitude and tries to make every situation better. Charlie is a pessimist who doesn't believe in love and takes the worst out of ever situation. The chemistry between these twos was phenomenal and the slow burn was *chefs kiss*.

Honestly a new favorite romance for me and I just love the author's writing so much.

This book was basically perfection. the only reason I'm not rating it five stars is because it's not quite on par with katherine's other books (to me); BUT I STILL LOVED IT SO MUCH! It was literally the cutest and most heart-healing thing ever.

I have said this before and I will say it again, I will read absolutely anything Katherine Center writes. Give me her damn grocery list, I will drop everything to read it.

I loved everything about this. The book is the absolute definition of a rom-com and honestly it read just like a movie. I actually feel looking back on it as I'm writing this, that I watched this as a movie rather than read the book.

I am so glad it was a book though because it added so much more depth. Emma and Charlie, oooh did I love them!! I haven't met a characters I haven't like yet though and I doubt I ever will!

I HIGHLY recommend reading this hilarious rom-com! I was laughing out loud the entire time! Her banter is always the best! Just be warned, once you start, you won't be able to put it down. I read this in one sitting (like I have with most of her books).

I always enjoy Katherine Centers books and this one is no different.

Emma loves writing, especially romcoms and she is pretty good at it. The only problem is she hasn’t been able to pursue her dreams of being a screenplay writer the way she wanted. She has been the primary caretaker for her father. When an opportunity to write alongside her favorite screenwriter comes along, she knows this is a chance she can’t pass up. Her sister agrees to take care of her Dad so she can go to LA. The only problem is the writer she was expecting to meet isn’t exactly who she thought he’d be. Charlie

Charlie is a brilliant Hollywood screenplay writer that is switching genres and writing a romcom. Little does he know that his agent has recruited his friend to help Charlie write. Charlie doesn't want any help from anyone.

This one took me a little bit to get into, and I found myself frustrated with the characters at times but I loved the banter and the ending.

This book actually gives us the definition and formula of a Rom Com and then follows it to a T. Emma is a rom com screenwriter who, instead of writing successful screenplays, spends her days caring for her disabled father. Trading that responsibility with her sister, she ends up in LA, co-writing a rom com with a very successful screenwriter, just not of rom coms. Can Emma convince the moody, doesn't believe in love, screenwriter that love is real and join with him to write a successful story? Well, if you aren't sure, check out the title of the book!

Where this book exceeded expectation is how it deals with grief. Each of the main characters have faced loss, and as Emma says, "Tragedy really is a given." Despite everything, the message that comes through is positivity, "Whatever story you tell yourself about your life, that's the one that'll be true." Emma's father has used his experiences to be a better person, and his positivity is passed on to his daughters and others around him. This book is very uplifting and filled with joy.

Katherine Center did not disappoint me again! She is an auto-buy author for me. I loved this book so much that I could not put it down. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book had so much VOICE! I really felt like I knew Emma. She was actually talking to me. My heart ached for her journey. And Charlie! I loved how flawed he was. His fears and his anxieties were so interesting and well-handled. These were interesting characters with nuanced arcs, to say nothing of the way I laughed out loud throughout the book. One of Katherine Center's best!

Katherine Center does it again! Another heartwarming story that has deeper meaning. I also believe this would be a great entry for readers to Katherine Center.

This book! It was so so so adorable and cute! Exactly what I wanted to read. It wasnt too much in any regard. The right amount of spice, the right amount of flirting, right amount of love. It covered, trauma, family, love, friendship. Everything in one. Katherine Center can do no wrong! Read this book!!!

I absolutely loved this! It was such a feel good classic rom-com. I was disappointed by the lack of spice, but still found myself swooning.

Katherine Center can do no wrong in my book (ha - see what I did there?). She is a go-to favorite, one that never fails to have me feeling all the feels. But what I love most about her books is the current of hope that flows throughout. Her characters struggle, but never lose hope - and that is a rare find in today's world! This is a feel-good rom-com that I will go back to again when I need a pick-me-up.
