I loved it. The dialog, the characters, the story line. Beautifully written. The wit, the sarcasm, the laughter, the tears - it has everything. As you go through main characters life story - you can really feel the challenges they face but you can't stop rooting for them. True love story about love story while writing love tory.

I feel everyone can relate to at least something in this book. It teaches us that yes, things happen but it is how you handle them what matters, it is your outlook in life that determines the outcome. Life is tough and hard but so are we.

Well this was an absolute delight from start to finish. I fell in love with the story and the characters. There was wonderful banter, a lovely lead and enough charm that I didn’t mind the HEA stuff that I usually find obvious or trite. This is def one of my all time fave romance books up there with Nora goes off script. I think those that are romance averse will even like this one. I sure did!! 4+ stars rounded up

I loved this book! My first Katherine Center book and I will definitely be reading more! It was a such a fun easy read, and I love the authors writing style. Very fast paced and hilarious. I really liked the main character and the forced proximity. 5/5.

This was a really cute and meta rom com; fans of Katherine Center will love it! I found myself really rooting for the main characters and laughed aloud many times.

(Pub 06.11) Prepare for a superlative: this is currently my favorite Katherine Center book ousting Happiness For Beginners from the top spot. You know those books that just make you feel good when you’re reading them? Those books that make you sigh with contentment after you turn the last page? This is it. The story is compulsively readable and had just the right amount of substance, romance, and the perfect cinematic happy ending. I reread the ending a couple times because it just made me happy.

By far this is my favorite Katherine Center book!
The Rom-Commers is a sweet and tender story of a young woman who has given her life to be her father's caregiver and now has the chance to change her life!
Filled with great banter, sexual tension, and a chance to see Hollywood behind the scenes, The Rom-Commers will be a delight for all to read!

I'm just going to be blunt here: Katherine Center knows how to write a romcom. Heck, she knows how to write a romcom about writing romcoms. Between the witty banter, the classic rom-com references, and the mission to get Charlie to believe in love, I couldn't stop reading. In fact, I read this book in one sitting until 2 AM, and I'm not regretting a single moment.

The best thing about this book is the humor. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the one-liners. The entire story made me smile and, in some parts, even cry. It is an entire novel celebrating love and how relationships can change when life-changing medical issues occur. Bonus points: there is a guinea pig named Cuthbert who is just adorable.

Also, the pacing is perfect. There is never a dull moment. The flashbacks perfectly fit the plot line and do not drag on and on. It's perfection and probably one of my favorite Center novels.

If you like romance, you will love this book. There are so many meaningful themes: being a caretaker, imposter syndrome, holding on to shame, and navigating relationships with a major medical diagnosis. Just trust me...you are going to love this book. Plus, how could you resist Cuthbert, the world's cutest guinea pig?

I love Katherine Center. This novel has more voice than her previous works. I love the set up. And I like her happy endings. But the middle was a little contrived for me.

What an absolute delight of a book! The characters were charming yet flawed from the first chapter. The chemistry and banter were engaging. This was the type of book I didn't want to consume too quickly, I wanted to savor it, but yet I couldn't put it down. I had it on the ready whenever I had a few spare minutes. This was also a love story to love stories, about why we need them and cherish them, that happily ever afters are more than just fluff. Katherine Center never disappoints and this might be my favorite of hers yet!

Embarking on this review, I must disclose my usual reservation towards romance novels, despite my affinity for romantasy. The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center stands out as the best romance book I've ever read. Center eloquently captures the essence of love with her carefully chosen words. The seamless timing and pacing of the chapters kept me engaged, avoiding any sense of pushing the story along. The conclusion of each chapter evoked emotions I've never experienced before. The impactful quotes within the book, featured at the start of this review, resonated deeply with me. Katherine Center has secured her spot as an instant-read author for me; I've never encountered a book of hers that I didn't enjoy. This is undoubtedly a five-star read, and having received an ARC, I'm grateful I didn't have to wait until the official publishing date. The characters, Emma and Charlie, were a joy to follow, and their banter added an extra layer of charm to the story. In essence, I loved every aspect of The Rom-commers.

Romances about writers are my kryptonite!!! So to me this book was pure magic.

The writing, the pacing and the characters were incredible!! I love love the pairing of the cynical writer who’s afraid to love and be hurt again and the optimistic writer that has had challenging experiences but still believes that there’s good in the world. I will NEVER get tired of it. I was smiling giggling kicking my feet the whole time. The plot was original yet very reminiscent of the romcoms Emma keep referring to throughout the book. Emma and Charlie were opposites in personality and argued often but were also so compassionate towards each other and listened to each other. They were so realistic and adorable and I could feel that they were soulmates. I loved how Charlie quietly loved everything about Emma, it was refreshing. It’s no surprise though because honestly, MCs named Charlie are always elite. I also loved all the side characters, although Emma’s sister felt a bit caricatural to me at times.

My only small complaint is the very speedy resolution at the end. I would’ve loved to see one last cute scene in the epilogue instead of being told they lived happily ever after (even though it was still really cute). The third-act breakup makes sense, but is a bit cheapened by the ridiculous and easy way it’s resolved lol. All in all, this book was easily a six stars for me. I adored it!!! Will definitely buy a copy when it comes out.

This book was wonderful! It was witty and fun. It kept me hooked with good banter, a feel good romcom!

I went into this book with a feeling I’d love it and I was absolutely right. I devoured this book. The banter. The deep feelings. The silly moments. Everything! These characters felt so real to me and I can’t believe the book is over. I could have read about Charlie and Emma forever.

I laughed out loud and i literally sobbed for most of the end of the book. 100/10 it was literally so so perfect. My heart aches and glows for this book and these characters.

It also includes a reappearance of Jack Stapleton from The Bodyguard! Emma and Charlie truly brought out the best in each other and it was a joy to read. You definitely do not want to miss this book, if you love Katherine Center.

I don't even know how to start with this review other than to say that this book is such a slow build. It's not a slow build story wise, but character wise. I didn't think i'd like this one as much as her other ones but god it snuck up on me. Katherine writes such tragic types of backstories but such hopeful amazing messages filled in between and this is no exception. Emma is the type of character I could relate to so much. Her older sister burden, her trauma, her love for romance and happy endings, I understood and I wanted all of that for her. Charlie was such a complex, cynical character and man he broke my heart. The way he loved Emma in the most selfless way had me bursting into tears throughout reading this book. I don't want to spoil too much, but I adore him. All this to say, I think this story will stay with me for a ong time. It has hilarious banter, notes of trauma and sacrifice, family, and most of all a very heartfelt love story. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this author! Her last book was beyond amazing, so you can only imagine how thrilled I was to get my hands on this ARC. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Oh my gosh, it was incredible! The story revolves around Emma, a talented but overlooked screenwriter, who joins forces with Charlie, a famous writer known for being anything but romantic, to revamp his disastrous romcom script. I have to say, Emma and Charlie were an absolute dream team! This novel had it all: intense emotions, clever banter, relatable family struggles, and a romance that will make your heart flutter.
