Catherine Walsh has cemented herself as one of my go to "holiday:" writers. She writes fleshed out characters and witty banter. The fake dating trope is usually not one of my favorites but as a single person going home for the holidays I get it! You are constantly asked about your relationships status from your relatives and its grating! I enjoyed getting to know Christian, Megan and their families. The reason I knocked a star off is because of the whole run away bride storyline that opened the book. It felt super far fetched and just wasnt necessary? We could have had her coming off a breakup of a toxic relationship, I just didnt think we needed the whole jilted groom left at the alter.

3.5/5 fun stars

It's been 5 years since Megan has last been home, which she has avoided since she ran away the morning of her wedding. Shortly before she's due to go home for Christmas, she bumps into an old classmate Christian, who she last saw when dashing out of the hotel in her wedding dress. Like Megan, he is dreading going home for Christmas, surrounded by her family and all the smug couples. They concoct a fake dating scheme in a bid to soften the homegoing and have a support system in place. But will this relationship hold up under the scrutiny of their families, the stress of bumping into Megan's ex-fiancé and everything else rural Ireland can throw at them?

Let me tell you, I flew through this! It was such a tonic, I laughed so much reading it. There's just something special about reading a book like this from an Irish author filled with Irish wit. Along with the way small town Ireland is written about, which adds to the authenticity of the story.

I enjoyed the romance, it's a bit of a slow build but never felt agonisingly so. This is partially due to their chemistry but also due to the wider cast of characters. I loved seeing Megan and Christian interact with their families and the kind gestures they do for each other. I felt it really added to the festive vibe, without being too cheesy or over the top. And bonus Molly and Andrew content from last year's Holiday Romance (Andrew being Christian's brother, so I would recommend reading Holiday Romance first if you want to read both). This can be totally read on its own though without reading Holiday Romance first. Dare I say, I think I even preferred this one!

Another Christmassy hit from Catherine Walsh!

For the second year in a row, a holiday romance from Catherine Walsh will be making my BEST OF THE YEAR list.

Snowed In was full of witty banter between the MC’s but also between their family members and friends. I don’t think I’ve smiled so consistently throughout a book in a really long time.

This book had everything I love about romance without a ton of angst OR a third act breakup!! There was a perfect amount of steam and I just fell totally in love with Megan and Christian.

My only issue with this book is that it ended and now I don’t want to move on to another one anytime soon. Crossing my fingers for Aiden’s story next!!

*I received an ARC from NetGalley for voluntary/honest review

Snowed In is a tiny bit of a continuation of Holiday Romance but more focused on another brother from the sweet Irish fam. The wit and banter from this fake dating trope was just as fun as Holiday Romance- the spice def kicked up a bit and there were a few things that weren’t a total fav of mine- so I still think Holiday Romance is my go to recommendation of the two- but Snowed In was still a ton of fun. Love these brothers and the epilogue to this one was 🤌🏽

Thank
You @NetGalley for the arc! Loved getting to read this book. So funny and got me into the Christmas spirit!

I love Catherine Walsh's writing! Her books are always so fresh and fun, and she writes characters I instantly feel a connection to every single time! This book was everything I hoped it would be, and I cannot wait to read more from her.

These characters are fun, a little quirky, and completely relatable. I think readers will really see themselves in several of the moments from this story. There are some spoilers from earlier books, but didn't mind because I've read them all! For anyone who hasn't, though, I would recommended reading them in order if you want to avoid any cameos or spoilers.

Everything about this book was a winner. Loved it!

HELLOO??!! I LOVED THIS BOOK SO SO MUCH!!!
This is the PERFECT book for feeling all the Christmas vibes and the fake-dating was CHEF’S KISS( WITH DUAL POV MIGHT I ADD) . I adored every single character (well except Isaac) and how they all had a story tell.
Christian and Megan’s relationship development was top tier and their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS.
I wish I could read about them forever.

This was so... REAL! The story, the characters and dynamics, everything was real. I don't have the words to explain, but Christian & Megan's story hit all the feels! And coming back to my favorite characters from Holiday Romance is the cherry on top!

This book ended up being a lovely surprise when I started reading as I hadn't realised it was a companion novel to Holiday Romance so not only did we get a gorgeous new storyline but we got to catch up with characters from last year's Christmas novel! This novel follows Megan who at the opening of the book is in a wedding dress making an escape from her own wedding! Then time moves forwards and we also meet Christian. who was at school with Megan. They meet on a night out and he walks her home - she invites him in but nothing happens between them except Christian suggests fake dating each other over their trip home for Christmas! Megan eventually agrees and we follow them getting to know each other and then travelling home. There is such obvious chemistry between these two that I was willing them to get together. I loved learning about their pasts and why they were fake dating each other. Megan had a terrible time with her ex, which I could really empathise with but it made her feel so real to me and it made me want her to get her happy ever after even more. This book is gorgeous, I adored it and I will definitely re-read it in the future! I recommend it!

As usual I love everything Catherine Walsh has written. She's become one of my favorite authors. Her quirky style of writing makes me feel like I'm watching one of my favorite shows. It's hard not to completely immerse yourself into the story.

SWOON! This was an absolute DREAM to read, with the perfect mix of romance and contemporary fiction - with some steamy moments! I went into this with low expectations and was so pleasantly surprised! From the first chapter, I was hooked and consumed it as fast as possible while squealing with delight and grinning as the plot unfolded. The dual POVs were easy to follow, the banter was impeccable, and the fake dating was so much more than the basic trope!

I want to gift this to all of my fellow book-loving girlfriends so they can enjoy a breezy holiday romance, too! Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved this adorable romantic comedy! “Snowed In” is the perfect read for the holiday season. Megan hasn’t been home since she left her groom at the alter. Christian is the only single one in his family. These childhood schoolmates decide to team up in a fake dating scheme to go home for Christmas.

🎄Dual POV
🎄Runaway Bride
🎄Home with both families
🎄Snowed in together

Actually, I expected this book to be "completely hilarious". Yes, Bookouture, you again, stop, just please stop writing "completely hilarious" on every single cover of your books! It was not completely hilarious, it was sometimes funny, but that's all.
And that's not bad, because I feel this book had a great depth to it. There were some poignant and significant moments in this story, some tougher issues were touched by the author - but no, "completely hilarious". Urgh. Annoying.

It was interestingly written, although it was predictable and stereotyped, you could really predict what the characters are going to do and say. Nevertheless, the main characters were really well developed, especially Megan - she was sharp, had a great sense of humour and best one - liners. The banter between Megan and Christian was absolutely the highlight of this story. The chemistry between them grew slowly and felt genuine and there were some spicy scenes. Verrry spicy. And hats off to the author for no third act breakup! I loved the fact that those two simply TALKED with each other and wer open about their feelings.

Perhaps it's not a book that will stay with me forever, however there was "something" in it . I liked it, it was an easy, festive read, with some parts that I would immediately delete, but oh my, that's me.

And now to "Holiday Romance" - keep hearing great things about this book.

This delightful novel puts a spin on the tyypical holiday romance. Instead of going back to her home town to find love, Megan is dreading going back because the last time she was there she left her fiance at the alter. The whole village has gossiped aboutt her and sided with her ex because no one knows the truth about why she left. Now it's five years later and she has to go back. It just so happens that Christian is also dreading going back for Christmas and being the only single one in his family again. So when Megan literally runs into him in a bar and they get to chatting, he asks her to go back together as a fake couple. Hilarity ensues and they eventually fall for each other.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book but it wasn't quite five start level for me.

What a fun heartwarming christmas romancd!! I loved Christian and Megan so much. The fact that they knew each other as children and met again as adults added so many layers to their relationship. Fake dating is always a fun trope, but the way Christian and Megan care for each other throughout theirs was so heartwarming.

ALL OF THE WARM FUZZIES. No one writes better love stories than Catherine Walsh. I read Holiday Romance last year and I was so thrilled to be approved for Snowed In. It absolutely delivered! I loved Christian and Megan so much. The fact that they knew each other as children and met again as adults added so many layers to their relationship. Fake dating is always a fun trope, but the way Christian and Megan care for each other throughout theirs was so heartwarming. As long as she keeps writing the, I will always read a Catherine Walsh romance at Christmas time!

i was looking forward to this book as I liked the idea of it being "snowed In", however this was a very small part of the book and the rest was a bit disappointing, the characters didnt seem to have chemistry and the lack of communication and misunderstandings started to drive me crazy, sorry not my style, thanks,
