I read the first installment of this series and LOVED it and now I LOVED this one. Catherine Walsh can write my love story any time.
Funny, heartfelt, likeable characters, and a great setting.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC
My first book by Catherine Walsh was Holiday Romance, which was one of my fave reads of 2022. It was the perfect combination of romance and cuteness and banter. And I'm so glad to say that Snowed In lived up to it.
I absolutely loved Christian in book 1 and I was so so excited when I found out he was getting his own book.
It was a real treat getting into his head and follow him as he grows up and gets to find his person.
Megan was amazing, she was fun and cute and I loved how she learned to stand up for herself throughout the book. Also, her concept of "angry knitting in the car" is something I absolutely need to try!!
Definitely recommend this one if you need a little pick me up, a little romance with holiday cheer !
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love Catherine Walsh this is my second book of hers and I just loved it!! As usual she lives up to my expectations. I love books that have fake dating that lead to romance.
I really enjoyed this read, perfect for the winter time and the couple was very likeable! I love fake dating that turns into love and this book was all of that. Being snowed in at the cabin was a plus.
I have not read anything by this author before, but I will definitely be looking out for their work in the future. I loved seeing the story unfold and seeing the characters grow.
Yes yes yes!! I read every book Catherine Walsh writes! If she writes it I know it will be a 5 star read! I just need more of them. This book follows one of the brothers, Christian, who we met in Holiday Romance. In this one Christian and Megan go back to their hometown and they are fake dating, until they aren't. OMG the best Holiday Rom-Com books I've read! Please write more and faster!!!
I just reviewed Snowed In by Catherine Walsh. #SnowedIn #NetGalley

I enjoyed this book immensely. It was the perfect book to read by the fire under a nice blanket. I will be definitely reading more books by Catherine Walsh in the future. If you like holiday and winter romances (or even romcoms in general), then this is the perfect book for you! It gave me Love Actually or the Holiday vibes, so if you enjoy those Christmas movies you will also enjoy this book. I can also imagine if you enjoy Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel you will also adore this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my review!
I thought this book was so cute and the perfect Christmas/winter read! The main characters are so fun and made we want to see where they’ll be in 10 years.
Catherine Walsh is easily becoming one of the auto-read authors. I love her writing style, the banter her main characters have and the giddy feeling I get every time I read her books.
This book was just “meh” for me. I felt like I was reading it because I had to finish it instead of reading it because I wanted to finish it. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was.
Christmas rom com!! And what is not to love about the fake dating trope!
Can’t recommend this enough if you want a good Christmas romance read!
Great festive season rom com for Christmas time. The storyline and writing style was amazing. Characters were very loveable.
This is my 2nd book by this author and she definitely someone I would want to keep reading from. Loved the book
Absolutely adore this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series .
Fake dating at its best set during the Christmas season makes for a warm , romantic embrace with each page. Lovely characters who belong together make for a delightful read.
Megan is returning home for Christmas four years after leaving her finance at the alter. Christian hates the questions from his family about why he's still single. So after bumping into each other , these childhood friends decide to fake date their way through each of their family holiday celebrations, only to find that the greatest gift of all this Christmas season is each other.
Swoony and glorious -- I could not put this book down and hated to see it end -- even though the ending is very satisfying.

This book is funny and the characters have great chemistry.
I enjoyed everything about this book – from the idyllic wintery setting to the relationships between the characters. I loved the family dynamics. There were a few bumps in the road, but overall I liked all the family members, and some friends.
The ending, especially the epilogue was very sweet. If you're looking for a lighthearted Christmas read with a fair bit of drama, then this is your book.
Catherine‘s back with another quirky romance with Snowed In. If you’re looking for a fun read dripping with moments of pure Irish sarcasm and dry humour, Snowed In is for you.
Ever dread going back home to visit at Christmas? Well for Megan, she’s seen as a village pariah after leaving her fiance at the altar four years ago and she’s avoided going home at all costs. Christian hates being on his own every Christmas, but he hates even more is the sad eyes he gets from his family while they’re all loved up. When Megan bumps (literally) into Christian in a Dublin pub, they hatch a plan to turn up to their village as a couple. Can they convince everyone around them that they’re a happy pair or will old feelings rise up and start to cause a world of drama?
Snowed In is pure escapism with some spice thrown in for good measure. The characters are all likeable and if you’ve read The Rebound you will be familiar with some of the characters (though Snowed In can be read as a standalone). I felt however that the chemistry between Megan and Christian was missing something- a bit of tension.
There’s plenty of hilarious moments along with a dive into some more serious issues. And if you’re a fan of fake dating and forced proximity in your romance reads, pick up a copy of Snowed In now. Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the arc.
Loved this book! Thanks Catherine for such an adorable tale. I’m yet to experience a snowy Christmas (New Zealand) but I long for one, and your descriptions and the way you set the scene was just magical and wistful. Some books are so cleverly written that reading them is effortless and this is one of them, I love Catherine’s style, it sucked me right out of a reading slump. The chemistry was on point, and Christian a dreamy MC. Justvthe right amount also funny and protective, a winning combination, This is actually one I’ll order for my physical shelf, because I enjoyed it enough to want to read it again next Christmas! Thanks Netgalley.
❄️ REVIEW: Snowed In ❄️
SUMMARY: Megan is headed home for Christmas for the first time since she left her high school sweetheart at the altar. Her former classmate Christian is also unwillingly headed back to town. When the two cross paths in Dublin, the obvious solution is for these two to fake date their way through the holidays.
I really enjoyed this fun holiday romcom! It came out in November and is a follow-up to 2022’s Holiday Romance, but you don’t have to read one to enjoy the other; it’s just two male main characters in the same family.
From the get-go, there’s definitely chemistry between Megan and Christian, which was fun to follow. But there’s also some solid character development as well, as the two unpack the baggage that made them want to avoid this trip in the first place.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A fun, quick romcom to escape into for an afternoon! I found these characters likeable, the plot moved at a good pace, and the ending was satisfying!
It was a cute book. I enjoyed the overall plot and the writing style was easy to read.
I’ve read the fake dating trope a few times and I just feel like I’ve seen banter that flows more naturally. And a real build up of their feelings for each other.
This never really felt like the tension built up and broke open.
The characters were likeable. And I enjoyed them both. Just some fire was missing for me.
Bring on the cozy holiday romance! I’ve been so excited to read more by this author, and knew that this story would be just what I needed.
SNOWED IN was adorable and hilarious and a great binge read when I felt like I just needed a slice of comfort and joy right now.

A great holiday or wintery romance read that I would absolutely recommend. I don’t know that there was anything that made it stand out for me among holiday romance but had many cute moments. And is very light hearted and sweet.
