A really enjoyable lighthearted Christmas read with some family drama. Megan and Christian have great chemistry and some funny moments together. This book is dual POV with a runaway bride and a fake dating plot. The first half of the book is much better than the second half as it sort of started to lose itself a bit. All in all though I enjoyed this book more than the first (Holiday Romance) and am a sucker for the fake dating plot.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

I loved getting to spend more time with the Fitzpatricks!

We open with Megan, who is leaving her childhood boyfriend and the local golden boy at the alter. Turns out he's not the sweetheart everyone believes him to be, but Megan keeps that to herself and bolts. Fast-forward to present day and Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. Since she broke Isaac's heart, she's been flagged as the village pariah, but she's also dreading a run-in with her ex, especially considering she's single (again) and he's recently become engaged.

Christian Fitzpatrick is fed up of going alone every Christmas, especially since his brother is so loved up and happy (if you haven't, read The Holiday Romance, the first in this series). While he doesn't mind being single all that much, he knows his family would like to see him find love.

When Megan and Christian bump into each other in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They agree to fake date to appease their families and get them through the worst of the drama, and we all know how that goes.

I loved this book. Catherine Walsh does witty banter and sexual tension so well, and her use of the fake-dating trope was perfect. I loved the characters and their backstories, which had just enough depth to make them believable and relatable. My only complaint is the title choice was a bit strange when it only refers to a relatively minor plotline in the whole book, but otherwise I thought this books was fun, engrossing, and electric. I can't wait to read more about this family.

Snowed In - Catherine Walsh

Christian and Megan were such an enjoyable couple - the history between them added to their building feelings and I thought Christian had the perfect personality for this type of read. I really enjoyed the story line of this book, I liked how when you thought you knew something about the main character Megan's past, the author throws in some more tidbits of info to make you think - hold on there's more to this than we first thought. A very nice fun Christmas read.
Thanks so much Bookouture and Netgalley for this e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Her best yet. I think the author has really found her voice and is amazing at writing humor without it being trite.
Typically holidays books are not my thing, but I'd read this over and over.

Megan fled her own wedding five years ago, leaving her small village for Dublin. Christian, an old schoolmate who witnessed her departure, encounters her again by chance in a Dublin pub. Both facing awkward homecoming visits, they agree to fake date during their two-week stay, leading to a rollercoaster of emotions and entertaining events. Set in the world of "Holiday Romance," readers catch up with familiar characters while Christian and Megan take center stage. Their flirty banter and chemistry shine, with Christian portrayed as a thoughtful and supportive partner. The story is filled with laugh-out-loud moments, touching family interactions, and a refreshing absence of a third act breakup. Fans of the series will eagerly anticipate future installments featuring other beloved characters.

This was cute and predictable. It took me forever to get through it because I wasn’t hooked or excited to see where the story was going.

Catherine Walsh is perfection. I LOVED Holiday Romance and I loved Snowed In! The Emily Henry of festive novels, which is a high praise coming from me.

I read the first installment of this series and LOVED it and now I LOVED this one. Catherine Walsh can write my love story any time.

Funny, heartfelt, likeable characters, and a great setting.

My first book by Catherine Walsh was Holiday Romance, which was one of my fave reads of 2022. It was the perfect combination of romance and cuteness and banter. And I'm so glad to say that Snowed In lived up to it.
I absolutely loved Christian in book 1 and I was so so excited when I found out he was getting his own book.
It was a real treat getting into his head and follow him as he grows up and gets to find his person.
Megan was amazing, she was fun and cute and I loved how she learned to stand up for herself throughout the book. Also, her concept of "angry knitting in the car" is something I absolutely need to try!!

Definitely recommend this one if you need a little pick me up, a little romance with holiday cheer !

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this read, perfect for the winter time and the couple was very likeable! I love fake dating that turns into love and this book was all of that. Being snowed in at the cabin was a plus.

Yes yes yes!! I read every book Catherine Walsh writes! If she writes it I know it will be a 5 star read! I just need more of them. This book follows one of the brothers, Christian, who we met in Holiday Romance. In this one Christian and Megan go back to their hometown and they are fake dating, until they aren't. OMG the best Holiday Rom-Com books I've read! Please write more and faster!!!

I enjoyed this book immensely. It was the perfect book to read by the fire under a nice blanket. I will be definitely reading more books by Catherine Walsh in the future. If you like holiday and winter romances (or even romcoms in general), then this is the perfect book for you! It gave me Love Actually or the Holiday vibes, so if you enjoy those Christmas movies you will also enjoy this book. I can also imagine if you enjoy Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel you will also adore this book.

I thought this book was so cute and the perfect Christmas/winter read! The main characters are so fun and made we want to see where they’ll be in 10 years.

Catherine Walsh is easily becoming one of the auto-read authors. I love her writing style, the banter her main characters have and the giddy feeling I get every time I read her books.

This book was just “meh” for me. I felt like I was reading it because I had to finish it instead of reading it because I wanted to finish it. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was.

Can’t recommend this enough if you want a good Christmas romance read!
